P R OPE R OPE R ATION AND ENVI R ONMENT
•Avoid any exposureto extremeheatorcold,yourscaleworks
betterwhen operated atnormalroom temperature.Itis
recommended to allow thescaleto acclimateto normalroom
temperatureforatleastonehourbeforeuse.
•Allow yourscalesufficienttimeto warm up. U sually 30-60
seconds to givetheinternalcomponents a chance to stabilize
beforecalibration.
•Keep yourscalein a clean environment.Dust,dirt,moisture,
vibration,aircurrents,and a closedistance to otherelectronic
equipmentcan causean adverseeffecton thereliability and
accuracy ofyourscale.
•Handleyourscalewith care.Gently apply all items orsamples
to beweighed onto theweighing surface.Although this scaleis
designed to bequitedurable,try to avoid rough treatmentas
this may permanently damagetheinternalcomponents.
•Avoid shaking,dropping,orotherwiseshocking thescale.This
is a precision instrumentand mustbehandled with extreme
care.
•Only operatethescaleon a stable,vibration free surface.

• U sing theMODE key,to switch between weightunits

•Turn on thescaleas described in OPE R ATION
•Place the“tareitem”(weighing container) on theweighing
platform
•Press TA R E and waituntil “0.00”is displayed
•Add the“sample”into oron theweighing container.

•Turn on thescaleas described in Operation
•Waituntil “0.00”is displayed
•Press and hold theMODE key until thedisplay reads “CA L ”
•Pres theMODE key again and waitforthe L CD display to flash
“*.*”
•Place theweightaccording to the L CD disply on thecenterof
theplatform and press theMODE key again
•Waituntil thedisplay displays “PA SS ”,and then removethe
weight
•Press theON/OFF button to turn off thescale.

Theprimary reason forinaccuracy ormalfunction ofthescaleis dueto
low batteries orincorrectinstallation ofbatteries,incorrectorinfrequent
calibration,overloading thescale,oroperating thescaleon an unstable
surface.Pleasekeep in mind to maintain and operateyourscale
properly.Thescaleis a precision instrumentand mustbehandled with
theutmostcareand caution.
