PREPARATION FOR USE
IMPORTANT: Unscrew the two rear leveling
feet slightly, to allow proper airflow inside the
scale, and relieve any internal pressure. Then
level the scale.
Before cleaning the scale, the rear leveling
feet must be screwed in tightly to avoid entry
of water inside the scale.
AC power may be used when battery power is
not available. Remove the rubber seal in the
back. Connect the AC adapter plug to the
input jack and plug it into a power outlet.
Note: To prevent water ingress during use,
insert rubber Seal into the input jack recess.
SELECTING THE LOCATION
Place on a firm, steady surface.
Avoid locations with excessive air current,
vibrations, heat sources, or rapid temperature
changes.
Level the scale: Adjust leveling feet so bubble
is centered.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
For safe and dependable operation of this product, please comply with the following
safety precautions:
•Verify that the input voltage printed on the power Adapter and the plug type matches
the local power supply.
•Make sure that the power cord does not pose an obstacle or tripping hazard.
•Disconnect the product from the power supply when cleaning.
•Do not operate this product in hazardous or unstable environments.
•Do not drop loads on the pan.
•Use only approved accessories and peripherals, as available.
•Operate the product only under ambient conditions specified in the Instruction Manual.
•Service should be performed by authorized personnel only.

OPERATION
Turning Scale On/Off
Press ON. The scale performs a display test, displays the model/software
version, and then enters the active weighing mode.
To turn the scale off, press and hold Off until OFF is displayed.
Zero Operation
Press 0/T to zero the weight display. The scale must be stable to accept
zero operation.
Manual Tare
Place a container on the weighing pan and press 0/T.
The display shows a net value of “0”.
To clear the Tare value, press 0/T with the pan empty.
Changing Units of Measure
Press UNITS to display the next available measuring unit.
Choose from kg, g, lb, and oz.
Only measuring units enabled in the Unit Menu will be displayed.

Verify the scale: place a known mass on it and check if the reading is accurate.
If not, calibrate, using the Calibration Guide.

MENU NAVIGATION
Press and hold Menu until MENU is displayed, then release it.
Press Yes to enter the displayed menu or press No to advance to the next menu.
When viewing the menu setting, press Yes to accept the setting, or press No to change it, then
press Yes to accept the setting and move to the next menu.
When End is displayed, press Yes to exit the menu.
MENU STRUCTURE
Programmable features of the Valor 2000 scales are contained in menus which are accessed
through the Display Panel’s control switches. See the Instruction Manual for more details.
*When LFT is ON, the Calibration, Resolution, Unit, and AZT menus are inaccessible.
