Using This Quick Start Manual
Use th s Qu ck Start Manual to get your H gh Performance
Process Ind cator up and runn ng. These nstruct ons use
the factory default sett ngs of current nput and 24 Vdc
sensor exc tat on.
The latest complete Commun cat on and Operat onal
Manual as well as free Software are ava lable at
www.omega.comor on theCD-ROM
enclosed with your shipment.
To start your un t you:
• connect ac power
• w re the sensor
• conf gure the meter, us ng the front panel buttons and the
conf gurat on menus
Before You Begin
Check the ser al label on the top of the meter case. The
model number’s last 3 d g ts nd cate f the meter s set up
for voltage or current. C1 - C2 are current ranges and
DC1 - DC10 are voltage ranges. This quick start manual
uses the C2 (4 - 20m ) range. If your meter s setup for a
range other than C2, consult the Operator’s manual.
In add t on to the un t and related parts, you w ll need the
follow ng tems to set up your un t:
• ac power, as l sted on meter’s Product/ID
• 4-20mA nput (eg: load cell, cal brator)
• 1/8” Ph ll ps head screwdr ver
• 1/8” flat blade screwdr ver
Warning: Do not connect C power to your
device until you have completed all input and
output connections. This device must only be
installed by a specially trained electrician with
corresponding qualifications. Failure to follow all
instructions and warnings may result in injury!
Connect ac Power
1. Remove the rear protect ve cover and set t as de.
The cover s secured w th a Ph ll ps-head screw.
2. Locate connector P1 on the bottom-left-rear of the un t.
The connector has three screw-down term nals.
3. Insert the correct w re n each term nal and t ghten the
lockdown screw. Tug gently on each w re to ver fy the
connect on.

Wiring a Current Transmitter
Follow these steps to w re a current nput sensor w th
sensor exc tat on.
1.
Locate connectors P3 & P9 on the r ght-s de-rear of the un t.
2. Attach the w res and t ghten the reta n ng screws. Tug
gently on the w res to ver fy the connect on.

Apply ac power. The front panel of the un t flashes RESET2.
If t does not:
a. Remove ac power.
b. Ver fy the P1 power and P3 and P9 nput connect ons.
c. Check your power source.
d. Check your s gnal source.
4.
Replace the rear cover. Thread the sensor w res through
the slots on the s de of the cover. Replace the rear cover
screw.
5. Apply ac power once aga n.
Configure the Meter
Use the front panel buttons to access the conf gurat on
menus, to e ther ver fy or set the un t values. The funct on

Quick Start Setup
Qu ck Start Setup scales your meter to read 0 to 100.0 for a
4 - 20mA nput. Th s setup procedure s actually a ser es of
short tasks. To complete Qu ck Start Setup successfully, t
s mportant to perform all tasks n the order outl ned n the
Qu ck Start Setup.
Select Input Range
1. Press MENU unt l the meter d splays:

3. Press MENU. The meter stores changes ( f appl cable),
then d splays “RDG SC”:
Set Reading Scale Factor and Reading Offset
1. Press /MIN to d splay the scale factor
value. Change the value, f necessary,
to read “1.00000” (Use /MIN to scroll
through d g ts and /MAX to change
the d g t’s value).
2. Press MENU. The meter stores changes ( f appl cable)
then d splays “RDG.OF”:

4. Press MENU. The meter stores change,
