comparingtothenormaloperatingcondition.Avoidexposureofthelaserbeamorstray
laserlighttotheeyesandtheskin!
Beawareofthelasersafetyrulesandpayattentiontothefollowingpoints:
Donotlookatanylaserlightdirectlyorthroughopticallenses.
Installationofaspecialworkingareaforthelaserisrecommended,whichonly
givesaccesstospecialtrainedandasfaraslasersafetygoes,instructedpersons.
Warninglabelshavetobeperceptiblyplacedatallentriesoftheareathelaseris
installedandrunning.
Whereveritispossible,thebeamshouldbesheathedbyatube,topreventdirect
accesstothelaserbeam.
Theworkingareaofthelasershouldbeshieldedtopreventuncontrolledescape
ofthelaserbeam.Afterpassingtheexperimental/workingareathebeammust
beblockedbyanappropriatetarget,whichabsorbsthelaserlight.
Thelaserbeamshouldnotrunateyelevel.
Wearappropriatesafetyglassestopreventlightfromenteringtheeye,even
reflectionsfromanysurfaces.

complieswiththerulesoftheIEC60825‐1andwithFDAperformancestandardsforlaser
productsexceptfordeviationspursuanttoLaserNoticeNo50,datedJune24,2007.
ATTENTION:Donotlookintothebeamorintoreflectionsofthe
beamfromsurfaces!
Whenoperatingthelaserunderopenenvironmentinstallation,itmayemitstray‐light,
whichisahealthhazardfortheeyesandskin.Alwayswearprotectiveeye‐goggles
accordingtotheusedlaserwavelength.Avoidexposureoflaserlighttotheskinandeye.

TheLightHUB®ULTRACompactLaserCombinercanbeequippedwithuptosevenDPSSordiode
lasersofdifferentwavelengthsinacompactandruggeddesign.Wavelengthsbetween375nm
and830nmandopticaloutputpowersupto300mWper
laserlinearepossible.TheCompactLaserCombinerscan
beequippedwithseveraltypesoffibresorusedinfree‐
spaceemission.Polarizationmaintainingfibrecoupling
unitsandnon‐polarizationmaintainingfibrestosupply
thelighttoapplicationsinbiotechnologylikeconfocal
microscopyorflow‐cytometryandmanymoreare
possible.
TheLightHUB®ULTRAisverysimpletooperate,insensitivetotransportationandenvironmental
influences,toapproach“hands‐freeoperation”.
Necessarycontrolpossibilitiesduringoperationareoutputpowerlevels,on/offswitchingand

reconnectitwhenclosingthehousing.Itisrecommendedtounplugthepowersupplybefore
openingthehousingcover.
