【運転】 ●機械と結合し運転を始める場合は、いつでも非常停止できる状態にしてから行なってください。
●異常が発生した場合は直ちに電源を切ってください。
●モーターは通常の運転状態において、表面温度が70℃を超える場合があります。
運転中、そのモーターに接近できる場合には、右図の警告ラベルをはっきり見えるように貼ってください。警告ラベル
●長時間拘束されたモーターにはさわらないでください。
●運転中、回転体（出力軸、冷却ファン等）へは接触しないでください。
【点検】 ●運転中、停止直後はモーターに手や体を触れないでください。
【その他】●修理、分解、改造は、行なわないでください。
●モーターを廃棄する場合は、産業廃棄物として処理してください。

3.2 コンデンサの取り付け 付属のコンデンサの容量がモーター銘板に記載されている容量と合っているかどうか確認してから
コンデンサの取り付けを行なってください。
コンデンサの取り付けには、M4のねじを使用してください。（取付用のねじは付属しておりません。）
注記 ・コンデンサ取付用のねじの締付トルクは、取付足の破損防止のため、
1N・m（10kgcm）以下としてください。
・モーターから10cm以上離して取り付けてください。
モーターの熱によりコンデンサの寿命が短くなります。

2.2 品名の確認
この取扱説明書は次の製品を対象としています。
ご注文の製品かどうか確認してください。
モーターの品名、電圧、出力、コンデンサ容量は、銘板記載事項を見て確認してください。

このモーターは下記の規格にしたがって設計・検査を行なっており、認定を取得しております。
・認定規格 UL2111、UL1004、CSAC22.2№100、CSAC22.2№77、EN60950-1
・認定条件 過電圧カテゴリー、汚染度2、クラス機器 (EN規格 )
モーターと機器の定格電圧が異なる場合、絶縁トランスを介してモーターには定格電圧を給電してください。
3.取り付け
取付条件 モーター、コンデンサは以下の条件のところに取り付けてください。
この範囲外で使用すると製品が破損する恐れがあります。
・屋内（この製品は機器組込用に設計、製造されたものです） ・ほこりがかからないこと
・周囲温度 −10℃〜＋40℃（凍結しないこと） ・水、油などがかからないこと
・周囲湿度 85％以下（結露しないこと） ・放熱しやすいこと
・爆発性ガス、引火性ガス、腐食性ガスがないこと ・連続的な振動、過度の衝撃が加わらないこと
・直射日光が当たらないこと ・標高1,000m以下
3.1 モーターの取り付け
モーター出力軸の形状によって取り付けが異なります。
1）丸シャフトタイプ 取付板に穴をあけ、ねじ、ナット、ワッシャを使用し、モーターを取付板に
固定してください。（取付用のねじ、ナット、ワッシャは付属していません。）
この時、モーター取付面と取付板にすきまがないようにしてください。

注記 取付穴にモーターを斜めに挿入したり、
無理に組み付けたりしないでください。
フランジインロー部に傷が付き、
モーターが破損する恐れがあります。
2）歯切シャフトタイプ 取付板に穴をあけ、別売のギヤヘッド付属のねじ４本を使用し、
モーターとギヤヘッドを 取付面に固定してください。
この時、モーターフランジ面とギヤヘッドインロー端面に
すきまがないように取り付けてください。
取り付けの詳細については、別売のギヤヘッドの取扱説明書を
参照してください。
注記 ギヤヘッドはモーターと同じ歯切りタイプのものを使用してください。

5.時間定格について
印加電圧により、時間定格が異なります。
単相60V以下の場合は連続運転が可能です。（連続定格）
単相100V/115Vの場合は連続運転可能時間が5分となっています。（5分定格）
6.拘束時の焼損保護について
このモーターは、モーターが何らかの原因で異常発熱し、焼損に至るのを防止するための機能を備えています。
保護方式は次の通りです。
■サーマルプロテクタ方式（銘板に「THERMALLYPROTECTED」と記載されています）
規定の温度になると、内蔵サーマルプロテクタが働いてモーターは停止します。
自動復帰型のため、モーターの温度が下がると自動的に運転を再開します。
点検作業は必ず電源を切ってから行なってください。
サーマルプロテクタ動作温度 開（電源を遮断する）………120℃±5℃
閉（電源をつなげる）……… 77℃±15℃
4.接続および運転
・モーターは「結線図」にしたがって接続してください。
・モーターリード線と電源接続部、コンデンサ端子接続部などのすべての接続部は絶縁処理をしてください。
コンデンサ端子接続部の絶縁処理用には、付属のコンデンサキャップをお使いください。
コンデンサキャップ取付順序
コンデンサキャップにリード線を通してください。
端子にリード線を接続してください。
コンデンサキャップを被せてください。
■結線図
回転方向はモーター出力軸側から見た場合です。時計方向をCW、反時計方向をCCWとしています。
注記 ・モーター運転中は、モーターケースの温度が90℃を超えないことを確認してください。
90℃を超える温度でモーターを運転すると、巻線、ボールベアリングが著しく劣化し、寿命が短くなります。
モーターケースの温度は、モーター表面に温度計を固定して計測できます。また、サーモテープまたは熱電対を使用しても計測できます。
・モーターに交流電圧を印加して使用する場合は付属のコンデンサを使用し、モーターが起動した後もコンデンサは常時接続しておいてください。

7.正常に動作しない場合のチェックポイント
モーターが正常に動作しない場合は、下の表にしたがって点検してください。
点検の結果すべて正常であるにもかかわらずモーターが正常に動作しない場合は、修理・分解・改造は行なわず、
お客様ご相談センター、または最寄りの支店・営業所にご連絡ください。

1. Precautions
1.1 Precautions for Installation
●Do not use in a place where there is flammable gas and/or corrosive gas.
●When installing the motor into your equipment, ensure that the motor lead wires are fixed and do not move.
In addition, do not apply any pressure to these lead wires.
●Motors for use only in equipment of protection class .

1.2 Precautions for Operation
●The Motor case temperature can exceed 70℃(depending on operation conditions). In case motor is
accessible during operation, please attach the following warning label so that it is clearly visible.

Thermally protected motors will restart automatically when motor temperature falls bellow a certain level.

2.2 Checking the product name
This operation manual covers the following products.
Make sure that the product is the one you ordered and is listed below by checking the model number listed on the nameplate.
Verify that the voltage and output listed on the nameplate are appropriate for your application and that the correct value capacitor has been
provided.

Only use a power supply that has the same rating as required by the motor. If the power supply rating is differrent, an isolation transformer
must be used.

3. Installation
Installation conditions
Install the motor and capacitor in a location that meets the following conditions.
Using the motor and capacitor in a location that does not satisfy these conditions could damage it.
3.1 Installing the motor
Installation varies with the shape of the motor's output shaft.
1) Round shaft motor
Drill holes in the mounting plate and fasten the motor to the mounting plate with
screws, nuts, and washers. (The mounting screws are not provided.) Be sure that
no gaps are left between the motor and the surface of the mounting plate.
Note: Do not insert the motor into the mounting hole
at an angle or force it in, as this may scratch
the flange pilot section and damage the motor.
2) Pinion shaft motor
Drill holes in the mounting plate and fasten the gearhead (sold separately)
and the motor to the mounting plate using the four screws provided with the
gearhead. Install the equipment so that no gaps are left between the motor
flange surface and the gearhead pilot section end surface.
Refer to the gearhead operation manual for further details concerning
mounting.

Note: Use the gearhead of the same type of pinion shaft as the motor.
3) Motor with a cooling fan
When installing a motor with a cooling fan onto a device, leave 10 mm or more behind the fan cover or open a ventilation hole so that
the cooling inlet on the back of the motor cover is not blocked .
3.2 Installing capacitors
Before installing the provided capacitor, check that the capacitor’s capacitance matches that stated on the motor’s name plate.
Use the screws specified below to install capacitor. (Screws not provided.)
Notes: 1 When installing the rectangular capacitor with the plastic foot, tighten the screw to
a torque of 1･Nm (10 kgcm) or less to prevent damage to the mounting foot.
2 Install capacitor at least 10 cm away from the motor. If it is located closer, the life of
the capacitor will be shortened.
- Indoors (this product is designed and manufactured to be installed within another device)
- Ambient temperature: -10 ℃to +40℃(14to 104)(avoid freezing)
- Not exposed to explosive, flammable, or corrosive gases
- Ambient humidity: 85% max. (avoid condensation)
- Not exposed to direct sunlight
- Not exposed to dust
- Not exposed to water or oil
- In a location with good heat ventilation
- Not exposed to continuous vibration or excessive impact
- 1,000 meters or less above sea level

4. Connection and Operation
-Connect the motor according to the “wiring diagram” shown below.
-Insulate all the wire connections, such as the connection between the motor and the capacitor connection.
Capacitor caps are available to insulate capacitor connection.

Pass the lead wires through the capacitor cap as shown in the figure.
Connect the lead wires to the terminals or use terminal ends.
Cover the capacitor with the capacitor cap.
■Wiring diagram
The direction of rotation is as viewed from the side of the motor’s output shaft.
Notes: 1 Check that the temperature of the motor case does not exceed 90℃(194) during operation. Operating the motor in excess
of 90℃(194) will rapidly deteriorate the coil and ball bearings and shorten service life. The temperature of the motor case
can be measured by fixing a thermometer to the motor surface. Alternatively, thermotape or a thermocouple can be used to
measure temperature.
2 Use the provided capacitor for the motors and always keep the capacitor connected after the motor is started.

5. Time Rating
The motors can be operated continuously when powered with 60VAC or less. (continuous)
The motors can operate continuously for up to 5 minutes when powered with 100VAC/115VAC. (5minute rating)
6. Locked rotor burnout protection
This motor is equipped with a feature listed below to prevent the motor from burning out as a result of abnormal heating which may be caused by
misapplication.
■Thermal protection (THERMALLY PROTECTEDis stamped on the motor name plate)
When the motor reaches a predetermined temperature, the internal thermal protector is activated and the motor is stopped.
With the automatic resume feature, the motor automatically begins operating again as soon as the motor temperature falls.
Always turn the power off before performing inspections.
Thermal protector activation range : Power is turned off at 120℃±5℃(248±9)
Power is turned back on at 77℃±15℃(170±27)

Is the correct voltage being supplied to the motor?
Are lead wires properly and firmly connected?
Is the load too large?
If lead wires have been extended using a terminal block or crimp-style terminals,
are the lead wires properly and firmly connected at all points?
Is the provided capacitor connected as shown in the wiring diagram of page 3?
Are lead wires properly and firmly connected?

terminals, are the lead wires properly and firmly connected at all points?

Is it connected as shown in the wiring diagram? Check the wiring diagram of
page 3 again.
The rotation direction of the gearhead's output shaft differs depending on the
gearhead's reduction ratio. Refer to the gearhead's operating manual.
Is the provided capacitor connected as shown in the wiring diagram of page 3?
Are you viewing the motor from the same direction as the diagram?
The direction of rotation is defined as clockwise or counterclockwise when
viewed from the side of the motor output shaft.
Is the correct voltage being supplied to the motor?
Does the ambient temperature exceed the permissible range (+40℃(104))?
Is the provided capacitor connected as shown in the wiring diagram of page 3?
Are motor and gearhead properly installed? Refer to the gearhead's operating
manual.
If the motor has a pinion shaft, is the coupled gearhead the same pinion type as
the motor shaft?

7. Troubleshooting
When the motor is not functioning normally, perform an inspection covering the points listed in the table below.
If the inspection shows that everything is normal but the motor and control unit stil are not functioning correctly, contact the nearest Oriental Motor
office. Do not repair, disassemble or modify it yourself.
