一般的な産業機器の機器組み込み用として設計 ・ 製造されています。 その他の用途には使用しない

2 設 置
2.1 EMC 指令に適合させる設置・配線例
アクチュエータ、 ドライバから周辺の制御システム機器への EMI、 およびアクチュエータ、 ドライバの
EMS に対して有効な対策を施さないと、機械装置の機能に重大な障害を引き起こすおそれがあります。
アクチュエータ、ドライバは、次の設置 ･ 配線方法を施すことで、EMC 指令への適合が可能になります。
適用規格については 「CE マーキング」 をご覧ください。
オリエンタルモーターは、 次ページ 「設置 ・ 配線例」 に従ってアクチュエータ、 ドライバの EMC を測
定しています。 EMC の適合性は、 次に説明する内容にもとづいて設置 ・ 配線し、 お客様の責任で
機械の EMC の適合性を確認していただく必要があります。
■電源の接続
電源は、 EMC 指令に適合した電源を使用してください。
配線にはシールドケーブルを使用し、 できるだけ短く配線 ・ 接地してください。
シールドケーブルの接地方法は 「電源ケーブルと入出力信号ケーブルの配線」 をご覧ください。
■電源ライン用ノイズフィルタの接続
• ドライバで発生したノイズが、 電源ラインを介して外部に伝播することを防ぐため、 ノイズフィルタを
直流電源の入力側に接続してください。
• 電源トランスを使用するときは、 必ずノイズフィルタを電源トランスの AC 入力側に接続してください。
• ノイズフィルタは、 HF2010A （双信電機株式会社）、 FN2070-10-06 （Schaffner EMC） または相当
品を使用してください。
• ノイズフィルタは、できるだけ直流電源の AC 入力端子の近くに取り付けてください。 また、入力ケー
ブル （AWG18 ：0.75 mm2以上） と出力ケーブル （AWG18 ：0.75 mm2以上） が筐体の盤面から
浮かないように、 ケーブルクランプなどで確実に固定してください。
• ノイズフィルタを接地する線は、 できるだけ太く、 最短距離で接地してください。
• AC 入力側のケーブル （AWG18 ：0.75 mm2以上） とノイズフィルタの出力ケーブル （AWG18 ：
0.75mm2以上） は並行にしないでください。 並行にして配線すると、 筐体内のノイズが浮遊容量を
介して電源ケーブルに結合してしまい、 ノイズフィルタの効果が低減することがあります。
■接地方法
接地した箇所に電位差が生じないようアクチュエータ、 ドライバ、 およびノイズフィルタを接地する線は、
できるだけ太く、 最短距離で接地してください。 接地ポイントには、 広く、 太く、 均一な導電面を使用
してください。
■電源ケーブルと入出力信号ケーブルの配線
• ドライバの電源ケーブルには、 AWG22 （0.3 mm2） 以上のシールドケーブルを使用し、 できるだけ
短く配線してください。
• ドライバの入出力信号ケーブルにはシールドケーブルを使用し、 できるだけ短く配線してください。
• シールドケーブルを接地するときは、 金属製のケーブルクランプなど、 シールドケーブルの全周と
接触できるクランプを使用してください。 ケーブルクランプは、 できるだけシールドケーブルの先端
部分に取り付け、 図のように接地してください。

■設置・配線についての注意事項
• アクチュエータ ・ ドライバと周辺の制御システム機器のアース間に電位差が生じないよう、 直接接地
してください。
• リレーや電磁スイッチを一緒に使用するときは、 ノイズフィルタや CR 回路でサージを吸収してくださ
い。
• ケーブルはできるだけ短く配線し、 余った部分を巻いたり、 束ねないでください。
• アクチュエータケーブルや電源ケーブルなどの動力系ケーブルと、 信号系のケーブルは別々に分
け、 100 ～200 mm ほど離して配線してください。 動力系のケーブルと信号系のケーブルが交差す
るときは、直角に配線してください。 また、ノイズフィルタの AC 入力側ケーブルと出力側ケーブルは、
離して配線してください。
• アクチュエータとドライバ間は、 当社のアクチュエータケーブルで接続してください。 EMC テストは
当社のアクチュエータケーブルを使用して行なっています。

■静電気についての注意事項
静電気によって、 ドライバが誤動作したり破損することがあります。 ドライバに電源が投入されていると
きは、 ドライバの取り扱いに注意し、 ドライバに近づいたり、 触れないでください。 ドライバのスイッチ
を変更するときは、 必ず絶縁ドライバを使用してください。

ドライバは、 静電気に敏感な部品を使用しています。 ドライバに触れるときは電源を切り、
静電防止対策を施してください。 ドライバが破損する原因になります。

2.2 ドライバの設置
ドライバは、 空気の対流による放熱や、 筐体への熱伝導による
放熱を前提として設計されています。 熱伝導効果が高い、 平滑
な金属板に 2本のねじ （M4 ： 付属していません） で取り付けて
ください。
ドライバは筐体や他の機器から、 垂直方向へ 20 mm 以上離して
設置してください。

• ドライバは汚損度 2または IP54 以上の筐体内に設
置してください。
• ドライバの周囲には、 発熱量やノイズが大きい機器
を設置しないでください。
• ドライバは、 コントローラや熱に弱い機器の下側に
設置しないでください。
• ドライバの周囲温度が 40°Cを超えるときは、 換気
条件を見直してください。
• ドライバは必ず垂直 （縦位置） に設置してください。
ドライバを 2台以上並べるときは、 密着設置が可能です。 密着さ
せると、 中央に位置するドライバの発熱が高くなりますので、 使
用頻度の少ないドライバを中央に設置してください。

密着設置したときはドライバ過熱アラームやドライバ過
熱ワーニングを必ず監視し、 これらの異常が発生した
場合は、 必ず冷却などの処置を行なってください。

電源の接続方法と入出力信号の接続方法について説明します。
3.1 電源の接続
1. 電源ケーブル （AWG24 ～16 ：0.2 ～1.25
mm2） の絶縁被覆を 11 mm 剥き、 電源入
力端子 （赤 ： +DC24 V、黒：GND）に接
続します。
2. ケーブルクランプで電源ケーブルを固定します。
締付トルク ： 0.5 ～0.6 N·m
適用ケーブル径 ： Ø5.9 ～6.9 mm

• 電源ケーブルは必ず固定してください。 振動などで断線する原因になります。
• 電源の極性に気をつけてください。 電源の極性を間違えて接続すると、 ドライバが破損
する原因になります。
• ドライバの電源ケーブルは、 他の電源ラインやアクチュエータケーブルと同一の配管内
に配線しないでください。 ノイズによって誤動作する原因になります。
• 電源ケーブルやアクチュエータケーブルから発生するノイズが問題となる場合は、 フェラ
イトコアを使用してください。
■運転に関するデータ設定について
電源とアクチュエータの接続が完了したら、 データ編集ソフトウェア EZED3 またはプログラミングコン
ソール MPC10 を使用して運転に関するデータを設定してください。
設定方法についてはユーザーズマニュアルをご覧ください。
■ドライバを単体で購入した場合の初期化について
ドライバ単体での購入や保守のための購入など、 ドライバとアクチュエータを別々に購入した場合は、
必ずデータ編集ソフトウェア EZED3 を使用して必ず初期化を行なってください。
初期化を行なうときは、 ドライバとアクチュエータを接続して、 電源を投入した状態で行なってください。

The product described in this manual has been designed and manufactured for use in general industrial equipment.
Do not use for any other purpose. Oriental Motor Co., Ltd. is not responsible for any damage caused
through failure to observe this warning.

This product is affixed the CE Marking under a self-declaration in conformity with the EMC Directive
when it is used in combination with the motorized actuators listed below.

Because the input power supply voltage of this product is 24 VDC, it is not subject to the Low Voltage
Directive but install and connect this product as follows.
• This product is designed and manufactured to be installed within another device. Install the product in an enclosure.
• For the driver power supply, use a DC power supply with reinforced insulation on its primary and secondary sides.
• EMC Directive
This product has received EMC compliance under the conditions specified in “Example of actuator and driver
installation and wiring” on p.15. The conformance of your mechanical equipment to the EMC Directive will
vary depending on such factors as the control system equipment used with this product, configuration of
electrical parts, wiring and layout. It therefore must be verified through conducting EMC measures in a state
that all parts including this product have been installed in the equipment.

alarm is generated.

Sets the current when the actuator is stopped.
ON [CDL]: 25% of rated current
OFF [CDH]: 50% of rated current (factory setting)
• Electromagnetic brake operation [Switch 4]
Sets the electromagnetic brake operation for when turning the
FREE/OF-CRN signal ON.
ON [ES]: Electromagnetic brake hold
OFF [MBF]: Electromagnetic brake release (factory setting)

Connects the PC that the data editing software EZED3 has been
installed or the accessory programming console MPC10 (sold
separately).

2.1 Installing and wiring in compliance with EMC Directive
Effective measures must be taken against the EMI that the actuator and driver may give to adjacent control-
system equipment, as well as the EMS of the actuator and driver itself, in order to prevent a serious functional
impediment in the machinery. The use of the following installation and wiring methods will enable the actuator
and driver to be compliant with the EMC directive. Refer to “CE Marking” on p.12 for the applicable standards.
Oriental Motor conducts EMC measurements on its actuator and driver in accordance with “Example of
actuator and driver installation and wiring” on p.15. The user is responsible for ensuring the machine’s
compliance with the EMC Directive, based on the installation and wiring explained below.
■Connecting the power supply
Use a DC power supply compliant with the EMC Directive.
Use a shielded cable for wiring and wire/ground the power supply over the shortest possible distance.
Refer to "Wiring the power supply cable and I/O signal cable" for how to ground the shielded cable.
■Connecting noise filter for power supply line
• Connect a noise filter in the DC power supply input to prevent the noise generated in the driver from
propagating externally through the power supply line.
• When using a power supply transformer, be sure to connect a noise filter to the AC input side of the
power supply transformer.
• For a noise filter, use HF2010A (SOSHIN ELECTRIC CO.,LTD), FN2070-10-06 (Schaffner EMC) or
equivalent product.
• Install the noise filter as close to the AC input terminal of DC power supply as possible. Use cable
clamps and other means to secure the AC input cables (AWG18: 0.75 mm2or more) and output cables
(AWG18: 0.75 mm2or more) firmly to the surface of the enclosure.
• Connect the ground terminal of the noise filter to the grounding point, using as thick and short a wire as possible.
• Do not place the AC input cable (AWG18: 0.75 mm2or more) parallel with the noise filter output
cable (AWG18: 0.75 mm2or more). Parallel placement may cause the enclosure's internal noise to
be directly coupled to the power supply cable by means of stray capacitance, which may result in a
reduction in noise filter effectiveness.
■How to ground
The cable used to ground the driver and noise filter must be as thick and short as possible so that no potential
difference is generated. Choose a large, thick and uniformly conductive surface for the grounding point.
■Wiring the power supply cable and I/O signal cable
• Use a shielded cable of AWG22 (0.3 mm2) or more for the power supply cable, and keep it as short as possible.
• Use a shielded cable for the I/O signal cable, and keep it as short as possible.
• To ground a shielded cable, use a metal cable clamp or similar device that will maintain contact with
the entire circumference of the cable. Attach a cable clamp as close to the end of the cable as possible,
and connect it as shown in the figure.

2 Installation
■Notes about installation and wiring
• Connect the actuator, driver and other peripheral control equipment directly to the grounding point so
as to prevent a potential difference from developing between grounds.
• When relays or electromagnetic switches are used together with the system, use noise filters and CR
circuits to suppress surges generated by them.
• Keep cables as short as possible without coiling and bundling extra lengths.
• Place the power cables such as the actuator and power supply cables as far apart [100~200 mm
(3.93~7.87 in.)] as possible from the signal cables. If the power cables and signal cables have to cross,
cross them at a right angle. Place the AC input cable and output cable of a noise filter separately from
each other.
• Connect the actuator and driver using the Oriental Motor actuator cable.
The EMC measures are conducted using the Oriental Motor actuator cable.

■Precautions about static electricity
Static electricity may cause the driver to malfunction or suffer damage. While the driver is receiving
power, handle the driver with care and do not come near or touch the driver.
Always use an insulated screwdriver to adjust the driver's switches.
Note The driver uses parts that are sensitive to electrostatic charge. Before touching
the driver, turn off the power to prevent electrostatic charge from generating. If an
electrostatic charge is impressed on the driver, the driver may be damaged.

2 Installation
2.2 Installing the driver
The driver is designed with the presumption that heat radiation
due to air convection or heat radiation due to heat conduction to
the enclosure will occur. Install the driver to a flat and smooth
metal plate with high heat conductivity using two screws (M4: not
included).
Install the driver so that there is clearance of 20 mm (0.79 in) or
more in the vertical direction from the enclosure or other devices.
Note
• Install the driver in an enclosure whose pollution
degree is 2 or better environment, or whose
degree of protection is IP54 minimum.
• Do not install any equipment that generates a
large amount of heat or noise near the driver.
• Do not install the driver underneath the controller
or other equipment vulnerable to heat.
• Check ventilation if the ambient temperature of
the driver exceeds 40 °C (104 °F).
• Be sure to install the driver vertically (vertical
position).
When installing two or more drivers in parallel, it is possible
to install them closely. If drivers are installed closely, the heat
generation of the inside drivers becomes high. Install the less
frequently used drivers toward the inside.
Note When drivers are installed closely, be sure to
monitor the driver overheat alarm or the driver
overheat warning. If these abnormalities occur, be
sure to take measures such as cooling etc.

3 Connection
This chapter explains how to connect the power supply and I/O signals.
3.1 Connecting the power supply
1. Strip off 11 mm (0.43 in.) of the insulating
sheath from the power supply cable (AWG24
to 16: 0.2 to 1.25 mm2) and connect it to the
power input terminal (red: +24 VDC, black:
ground).
2. Tighten the power supply cable with the cable clamp.
Tightening torque: 0.5 to 0.6 N·m
Applicable cable diameter: Ø5.9 to 6.9 mm
Note
• Be sure to fix the power supply cable. Disconnection may be caused by vibration or
other factors.
• Pay attention to the polarity of the power supply. Reverse-polarity connection may
cause damage to the driver.
• Do not wire the power supply cable of the driver in the same cable duct with other
power line or actuator cable. This may cause malfunction due to noise.
• If noise from the power supply cable or actuator cable becomes a problem, use a
ferrite core.
■Data setting for operation
After connecting the actuator and power supply, set the operation data using the data editing software
EZED3 or programming console MPC10.
See the INSTRUCTION MANUAL for how to set the operation data.
■Initialization in case of purchasing the driver separately
When purchasing an actuator and driver separately or when purchasing the driver only for maintenance,
be sure to initialize the driver using the data editing software EZED3.
Execute initialization while the power supply is turned on after connecting the actuator and driver.
