モーターは下記の規格にしたがって設計・検査を行なっており、 認証を取得していま

z• 設置、 接続、 運転・操作、 点検・故障診断の作業は、 適切な資格、 知識を有する

z• モーターの過熱保護装置（サーマルプロテクタ）がはたらいたときは、 電源を切って

るか、 接地してください。 感電の原因になります。

z• 電源入力電圧は、 定格値を必ず守ってください。 火災・感電の原因になります。
z• 接続は接続図にもとづき、 確実に行なってください。 火災・感電の原因になります。
z• リード線を無理に曲げたり、 引っ張ったり、 はさみ込んだりしないでください。 火災・

z• 付属のコンデンサの接続端子は絶縁処理してください。 感電の原因になります。
z• 停電したときは、 電源を切ってください。 停電復旧時にモーターが突然起動して、
けが・装置破損の原因になります。
z• 電源を切った直後（30 秒以内）は、 コンデンサの接続端子に触れないでください。
残留電圧により、 感電の原因になります。
z• モーターを分解・改造しないでください。 感電・けがの原因になります。

z• 運転中および停止後しばらくの間は、 モーターに触れないでください。
モーターの表面が高温のため、 やけどの原因になります。
z• モーター出力軸、 モーターリード線を持たないでください。 けがの原因になります。
z• モーターの周囲には、可燃物を置かないでください。火災・やけどの原因になります。
z• モーターの周囲には、 通風を妨げる障害物を置かないでください。 装置破損の原
因になります。
z• モーターとスピードコントローラは、 指定された組み合わせで使用してください。
火災の原因になります。
z• 運転中は回転部（出力軸）に触れないでください。 けがの原因になります。
z• 異常が発生したときは、 ただちに電源を切ってください。 火災・感電・けがの原因に
なります。
z• モーターは、 正常な運転状態でも、 表面温度が 70 ℃を超えること
があります。 運転中のモーターに接近できるときは、 図の警告ラベ
ルをはっきり見える位置に貼ってください。

 設置場所
風通しがよく、 点検が容易な次のような場所に設置してください。
z• 屋内に設置された筐体内（換気口を設けてください）
z• 使用周囲温度 −10 ～+40 °C（凍結しないこと）
100 V/200 V 運転時は −10 ～+50 °C
z• 使用周囲湿度 85%以下（結露しないこと）
z• 爆発性雰囲気、 有害なガス（硫化ガスなど）、 および液体のないところ
z• 直射日光が当たらないところ
z• 塵埃や鉄粉などの少ないところ
z• 水（雨や水滴）、 油（油滴）、 およびその他の液体がかからないところ
z• 塩分の少ないところ
z• 連続的な振動や過度の衝撃が加わらないところ
z• 電磁ノイズ（溶接機、 動力機器など）が少ないところ
z• 放射性物質や磁場がなく、 真空でないところ
z• 標高 1000 m以下
 モーターの設置
歯切りシャフトタイプは、 モーターとギヤヘッド（別売）を組み付けます。 モーターとギ
ヤヘッドの組み付けについては、3ページ「ギヤヘッドの取り付け」を参照してください。

z装置への取り付け
取付板に穴をあけ、 付属のねじ 4 本を使用し、 モーターとギヤヘッドを取付面に固定
してください。
歯切りシャフトタイプの取付用ねじセットは、 ギヤヘッドに付属しています。

モーター後部の空気吸込口をふさがないように、 ファンカバーの後ろを 10 mm以上
あけるか、 換気穴をあけてください。

 負荷の取り付け
ギヤヘッド出力軸は、 外径公差を h7 に仕上げ、
伝達部品取り付けのためのキーみぞ加工をしてい
ます。 伝達部品を取り付けるときは、 出力軸と伝
達部品のはめ合いをすきまばめにしてください。
さらに、 伝達部品のがたつきや空転を防止するた
め、 必ず平行キーをねじで出力軸に固定してくだ
さい。

重要 ギヤヘッド出力軸にハンマーなどで強い力を加えないでください。
出力軸や軸受けが破損する原因になります。

出力軸先端ねじ穴は、 伝達部品の抜け防止の補助として使用してください。
（2GV、3GVには、 出力軸先端ねじ穴はありません。）

 コンデンサの取り付け（単相モーターのみ）
付属コンデンサの容量が、 モーター銘板に記載されてい
る容量と合っているか確認してください。
M4 のねじ（付属していません）を使用して、 確実に取り
付けてください。

重要 z• コンデンサ取付用のねじの締付トルクは、 取付足の破損防止のため
1 N·m以下にしてください。
z• コンデンサは、 モーターから 10 cm 以上離して取り付けてください。
モーターの熱で、 コンデンサの寿命が短くなります。
 コンビタイプのギヤヘッド交換
モーターとギヤヘッドを固定している六角穴付ボルト（2 か所）を外すと、 ギヤヘッドが
取り外せます。

zギヤヘッドの取り付け
モーターとギヤヘッドのインローをガイドにして、 モーター出力軸の歯切り部分がギヤ
ヘッドの側板やギヤに当たらないよう、 ギヤヘッドをゆっくり左右に回しながらギヤヘッ
ドをモーターに組み付けてください。
また、 モーターとギヤヘッドの間にすき間
がないようにしてください。
90 Wのモーターは、 フランジに Oリング
が装着されています。
モーターとギヤヘッドを組み付けるとき
は、 Oリングをかみこまないようにしてく
ださい。 ギヤヘッド内のグリースが漏れる
ことがあります。

重要 モーターとギヤヘッドを無理に組み付けたり、 ギヤヘッド内部に金属片な
どの異物を入れないでください。 モーター出力軸の歯切りやギヤに傷が
付いて、 異常音や寿命低下などの原因になります。
接続および運転
z• モーターリード線と電源接続部、 コンデンサ接続部など、 すべての接続部は、
絶縁処理をしてください。
z• モーターは保護接地端子を使って接地してください。
z• 回転方向は、 モーター出力軸側から見た場合です。 時計方向を CW、 反時計方
向を CCWとしています。
z• モーターとスピードコントローラの接続は、 スピードコントローラの取扱説明書をご覧
ください。
重要 z• モーターを運転するときはモーターケース温度を 90 °C以下に抑えてく
ださい。 90 °Cを超えて運転されると、 モーターの巻線、 ボールベアリ
ングの寿命が短くなります。 モーターケースの温度は、 温度計、 サー
モテープ、 または熱電対で測定・確認してください。
z• インダクションモーターの回転方向は、 モーターが完全に停止してから
切り替えてください。 運転中に回転方向を切り替えると、 回転方向が切
り替わらなかったり、 切り替わるまでに時間がかかったりすることがあり
ます。
z• 単相モーターは付属のコンデンサを使用し、 モーターが起動した後も
コンデンサは常時接続しておいてください。
 ギヤヘッド出力軸の回転方向
ギヤヘッドの減速比によっては、 ギヤヘッド出力軸の回転方向はモーター軸の回転
方向と逆になります。 使用するギヤヘッド出力軸の回転方向を確認し、 モーターの
回転方向を決めて接続してください。

zコンデンサの接続（単相モーターのみ）
z• コンデンサ端子部の絶縁処理用には、
付属のコンデンサキャップを使用して
ください。
z• コンデンサには 4つの端子があり、
図のように端子 Aと端子 B、 端子 Cと
端子 Dが内部で接続されています。
電気的には 2端子になります。
圧着端子を使用する場合は、 ファスト
ン・ターミナル 187 シリーズ（TE コネ
クティビティ）を使用してください。

 三相モーター
図のように接続してください。 接続図どおり
に接続すると、 モーター出力軸から見て時
計方向（CW）に回転します。 R、S、Tのう

時間定格
重要 スピードコントローラと組み合わせて連続で使用できる時間は、 負荷、
回転速度、 運動サイクルによって異なります。

連続運転が可能です（連続定格）。

zレバーシブルモーター
連続運転可能時間は 30 分です。（30 分定格：銘板に「30 min」と記載されています。）
拘束時の焼損保護
モーターは、 出力軸が拘束されたときの焼損保護機能を備えています。
保護方式は次の 2 種類です。
 サーマルプロテクタ方式
銘板に「TP」と記載されています。 このモーターは、 自動復帰型のサーマルプロテク
タをモーター巻線部に内蔵しています。
モーター内部の温度が規定値以上になると、 サーマルプロテクタがはたらいてモー
ターは停止します。
点検作業は必ず電源を切ってから行なってください。

 インピーダンスプロテクト方式
銘板に「ZP」と記載されています。 このモーターは、 巻線インピーダンスを大きくして
います。 モーターが拘束されても電流（入力）の増加が抑えられ、 内部温度が一定の
値以上にならないように設計されています。
故障の診断と処置
モーターの運転操作が正常に行なえないときには、 この項をご覧になって、 適切な
処置を行なってください。 また、 スピードコントローラの取扱説明書もご覧ください。
それでも正常に運転できないときは、 最寄りのお客様ご相談センターにお問い合わ
せください。

指定した方向と逆に回転
する
z• スピードコントロールモーターは、 スピードコントロー
ラの取扱説明書を参照し、 正しく接続してください。
z• 単相モーターの場合は、 付属のコンデンサを正しく
接続してください。
z• ギヤヘッドの減速比によっては、 モーター出力軸と
ギヤヘッド出力軸の回転方向が逆になります。

ださい。
z• 回転方向は、 モーター出力軸側から見たときのもの
です。 見る方向を確認してください。
モーターが異常に熱くなる
（モーターケースの温度が

z• 単相モーターの場合は、 付属のコンデンサを正しく
接続してください。
z• 換気条件を見直してください。
異音がする
z• ギヤヘッドの取扱説明書を参照して、 モーターと
ギヤヘッドを正しく組み付けてください。
z• モーターと同じ歯切りタイプのギヤヘッドを組み付け

Temperature rise tests required by the standards are performed in a state that
has been attached a heat radiation plate instead of a gearhead.

Safety precautions
The precautions described below are intended to prevent danger or injury to
the user and other personnel through safe, correct use of the product. Use the
product only after carefully reading and fully understanding these instructions.
Warning
Handling the product without observing the instructions that accompany a
“Warning” symbol may result in serious injury or death.
z• Do not use the product in explosive or corrosive environments, in the
presence of ammable gases, locations subjected to splashing water, or near
combustibles. Doing so may result in re, electric shock or injury.
z• Only qualied and educated personnel should be allowed to perform
installation, connection, operation and inspection/troubleshooting of the
product. Handling by unqualied and uneducated personnel may result in re,
electric shock, injury or equipment damage.
z• Do not transport, install the product, perform connections or inspections
when the power is on. Always turn the power off before carrying out these
operations. Failure to do so may result in electric shock.
z• Turn off the power in the event the overheat protection device (thermal
protector) is triggered. Failure to do so may result in injury or damage to
equipment, since the motor will start abruptly when the overheat protection
device (thermal protector) is automatically reset.
z• The motor is Class I equipment. Install the motor so as to avoid contact with
hands, or ground it to prevent the risk of electric shock.
z• Install the motor in an enclosure in order to prevent electric shock or injury.
z• Keep the input-power voltage within the specication to avoid re and electric
shock.
z• Connect the cables securely according to the wiring diagram in order to
prevent re and electric shock.
z• Do not forcibly bend, pull or pinch the lead wires. Doing so may result in re
and electric shock.
z• Be sure to insulate the connection terminal of the capacitor. Failure to do so
may result in electric shock.
z• Turn off the power in the event of a power failure, or the motor will suddenly
start when the power is restored and may cause injury or damage to
equipment.
z• Do not touch the connection terminal of the capacitor immediately after the
power is turned off (for a period of 30 seconds). The residual voltage may
cause electric shock.
z• Do not disassemble or modify the motor. This may cause electric shock or
injury.
Caution
Handling the product without observing the instructions that accompany a
“Caution” symbol may result in injury or property damage.
z• Do not use the motor beyond its specications, or electric shock, injury or
damage to equipment may result.
z• Do not touch the motor during operation or immediately after stopping.
The surface is hot and may cause a skin burn(s).
z• Do not hold the motor output shaft or motor lead wires. This may cause injury.
z• Keep the area around the motor free of combustible materials in order to
prevent re or a skin burn(s).
z• To prevent the risk of damage to equipment, leave nothing around the motor
that would obstruct ventilation.
z• Use a motor and speed controller only in the specied combination. An
incorrect combination may cause a re.
z• To prevent bodily injury, do not touch the rotating parts (output shaft) of the
motor during operation.
z• When an abnormality is noted, turn off the power immediately, or re, electric
shock or injury may occur.
z• The motor's surface temperature may exceed 70 °C (158 °F),
even under normal operating conditions. If a motor is accessible
during operation, post the warning label shown in the gure in a
conspicuous position to prevent the risk of skin burn(s). Warning label

Installation
 Location for installation
Install it in a well-ventilated location that provides easy access for inspection.
The location must also satisfy the following conditions:
z• Inside an enclosure that is installed indoors (provide vent holes)
z• Operating ambient temperature
−10 to +40 °C (+14 to +104 °F) (non-freezing)
−10 to +50 °C (+14 to +122 °F) for 100 V/200 V
z• Operating ambient humidity 85%, maximum (non-condensing)
z• Area that is free from an explosive atmosphere or toxic gas (such as sulfuric
gas) or liquid
z• Area not exposed to direct sun
z• Area free of excessive amount dust, iron particles or the like
z• Area not subject to splashing water (storms, water droplets), oil (oil droplets) or
other liquids
z• Area free of excessive salt
z• Area not subject to continuous vibration or excessive shocks
z• Area free of excessive electromagnetic noise (from welders, power machinery,
etc.)
z• Area free of radioactive materials, magnetic elds or vacuum
z• 1000 m (3300 ft.) or less above sea level
 How to install the motor
For the pinion shaft type, assemble the motor and gearhead (sold separately).
Refer to "Installing the gearhead" on 3 page about how to assemble the motor
and gearhead.
z
zInstallation to equipment
Drill holes on the mounting plate and x the motor and gearhead on the plate
using four screws (provided).
For pinion shaft type, the mounting screws are provided with the gearhead.

zMotor with cooling fan
When installing a motor with cooling fan onto a device, leave 10 mm (0.39 in.) or
more behind the fan cover or open a ventilation hole so that the cooling inlet on
the back of the motor cover is not blocked.
z• Dispose the product correctly in accordance with laws and regulations, or
instructions of local governments.

 Attaching Load
To shaft of the gearhead has been machined to an outer diameter tolerance of
h7 and is provided with a key slot for connecting the transmission parts.
When connecting the transmission
parts, ensure that the shaft and parts
have a clearance t, and always x the
parallel key to the output shaft with a
screw to prevent the parts from rattling or
spinning.

zWhen using the output axis tip screw hole of a gearhead
Use a screw hole provided at the tip of the output shaft as an auxiliary means for
preventing the transfer mechanism from disengaging.
(2GV, 3GV type have no output shaft

 Mounting the capacitor (only for single-phase motors)
Before mounting the provided capacitor, check that
the capacitor's capacitance matches that stated on the
motor's name plate.
Mount the capacitor securely by using M4 screws
(not provided). Ø4.3 mm
(0.169 in.)
Note z• Do not let the screw fastening torque exceed 1 N·m (8.8 lb-in) to
prevent damage to the mounting foot.
z• Mount capacitor at least 10 cm (3.94 in.) away from the motor. If it
is located closer, the life of the capacitor will be shortened.
 Changing gearhead of the combination type
Remove the gearhead by unscrewing the hexagonal socket-head screws holding
the gearhead to the motor (2 locations).

zInstalling the gearhead
Using the pilot sections of the motor and gearhead as guides, slowly rotate it
clockwise/counterclockwise to prevent the pinion of the motor output shaft from
contacting the side panel or gear of the
gearhead.
Also conrm that no gaps remain
between the motor and gearhead.
An O-ring is attached to the ange of
the 90 W type motor. Do not pinch the
O-ring when assembling the motor and
gearhead. Pinching the O-ring causes
a grease leak from the gearhead.

Note Do not forcibly assemble the motor and gearhead. Also, do not let
metal objects or other foreign matters enter the gearhead. The pinion
or gear of the motor output shaft may be damaged, resulting in noise
or shorter service life.
Connection and operation
Insulate all the wire connections, such as the connection between the motor and
the capacitor connection. Ground the motor using a Protective Earth Terminal.
The direction of motor rotation is as viewed from the side of the motor’s output
shaft. The motor rotates in a clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW)
direction.
Refer to the OPERATING MANUAL for the speed controller about the
connection of the motor and speed controller.
Note z• Make sure that the motor case temperature does not exceed 90 °C
(194 °F) during operation of the motor.
Operation exceeding case temperature 90 °C (194 °F) may
signicantly deteriorate the coils and ball bearings of the motor
and shorten the motor's life span. Motor case temperature can be
measured by xing a thermometer on the motor surface. It can also
be measured using thermo tape or a thermocouple.
z• To change rotation direction of the induction motor, wait until the
motor completely stops. Otherwise its direction may not change or
may take much time to change.
z• Motors use a capacitor and keep it connected even after rotation of
the motor has started.
 Rotating direction of the gearhead output shaft
The rotating direction of the gearhead output shaft may be opposite that of the
motor shaft, depending on the gear ratio. Before performing wiring, be sure
to check the rotating direction of the gearhead output shaft to be used and
determine the desired direction of motor rotation.

Time rating
Note The continuous-operation time when operating the motors with the

zInduction motors
Induction motors have a continuous rating.
z
zReversible motors
Reversible motors have a 30 minutes rating. “30 min” is indicated on the
nameplate.
Locked rotor burnout protection
This motor is equipped with one of the two features listed below to prevent the
motor from burning out as a result of abnormal heating which may be caused by
misapplication.
 Thermal protection
“TP” is stamped on the motor nameplate. The motor has an “auto reset”
type thermal protector built into its motor coil. When the motor reaches a
predetermined temperature, the internal thermal protector is activated and the
motor is stopped.
Always turn the power off before performing inspections.
Thermal protector activation range:
Power is turned off at 130±5 °C (266±9 °F)
Power is turned back on at 85±20 °C (185±36 °F)
 Impedance protection
“ZP” is stamped on the motor nameplate. The motor has higher coil impedance.
When the motor goes into locked rotor condition due to a malfunction, coil
impedance rises, suppressing input power to the motor and protecting the motor
coil from burnout.
Troubleshooting
When the motor cannot be operated correctly, refer to the contents provided in
this section and take appropriate action. Refer also to the OPERATING MANUAL
for the speed controller. If the problem persists, contact your nearest ofce.

z• Check the power supply voltage.
z• Connect the power supply and the motor correctly.

z• With a single-phase motor, connect the supplied

check them for poor connection.
z• Keep the load at or below the allowable value.

from the motor output shaft. Check the reference
direction.
