COMMERCIAL CLIPPER
When using an electrical appliance, basic
precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
Read all Instructions before using this
appliance.
DANGER
To reduce the risk of electric shock:
1. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen
into water. Unplug immediately.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can
fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in or drop into water or other
liquid.
5. Always unplug this appliance from the
electrical outlet immediately after using.
6. Unplug this appliance before cleaning,
putting on or taking off parts.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric
shock, or injury to persons:
1. An appliance should never be left unattended
when it is plugged in.
2. Close supervision is necessary when this
appliance is used by, on, or near children or
invalids.
3. Use this appliance only for its intended
use as described in this manual. Do not
use attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer.
4. Never operate this appliance if it has a
damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, if it has been dropped or damaged,
or dropped into water. Return the appliance
to a service center for examination and
repair.
5. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
6. Never operate the appliance when air
openings are blocked or while on a soft
surface (such as a bed or couch).
7. Never drop or insert any object into opening.
8. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol spray products are being used or
where oxygen is being administered.
9. Do not use this appliance with a damaged or
broken comb or blade, as cut or scratched
skin may occur.
10. To disconnect, move all controls to “OFF”,
then remove plug from outlet.
11. Do not wrap cord around unit when storing.
Continuous stress on the cord can damage
cord insulation and result in a shock hazard.
12. Avoid contact with moving blades.
13. Avoid tangling or kinking the cord while
clipping. Should the cord become tangled or
kinked, stop clipping and straighten the cord.
14. This appliance is for clipping and trimming
purposes only.
15. Keep the appliance dry.
16. The intended continuous operating time is 20
minutes.
17. During use, do not place or leave the
appliance where it is expected to:
1) subject to damage by animal, or
2) exposed to weather.
18. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.

OPERATING THE UNIT
Always apply one to two drops of the provided
blade lubricant or other Oster approved lubricant
to the blades before use.
Cutting efciency may drop and the blades and
motor may be damaged if hair is dirty or hair
styling agents have been applied. Always ensure
that hair is clean before using the clipper.
1. Turn the clipper on using the “on-Off” switch
located on the top of the unit and use the
clipper.
2. Turn the clipper off when nished using.
3. Cover the blades with the provided blade
guard to protect the blades.
4. Unplug unit after use and store properly.
User-Maintenance Instructions.
1. The product is for commercial use.
2. Keep cord straight while clipping. If cord
becomes kinked or tangled, stop clipping and
straighten it.
3. Do not wrap cord around the clipper when
storing. This can damage the cord insulation.
4. Always take care not to tangle the cord while
using or storing the clipper.
5. We recommend storing the clipper and cord
in the original carton when not in use.
GREASING
Over-greasing can cause leakage and reduce
the operating efciency of the clipper. Check
once a month by removing metal nameplate.
Then remove nylon lever, metal link, and gear.
Insert grease tube nozzle into hole on top of
Gear post. (Note: If grease does not come
through, clean holes.) DO NOT FILL CAVITY
WITH GREASE. Now replace Link & Gear and
add very little grease to teeth of Gear & Linkage.
Use only Oster™Electric Clipper Grease. This
grease is required in double insulated clippers
because of its insulative properties.
CAUTION: ADD VERY LITTLE GREASE AND
ONLY WHEN NECESSARY.
CARBON BRUSHES
Brushes must be inspected and replaced
periodically to insure maximum motor
performance and life expectancy. UNPLUG
THE CLIPPER FROM THE POWER OUTLET
TO PREVENT AN ELECTRIC SHOCK WHEN
INSPECTING OR REPLACING BRUSHES. To
remove a brush on models with a SLOTTED
BRUSH CAP, unscrew the brush cap (a dime
is an excellent tool for this) and remove the
nylon insulator cap. Remove the brass cap by
applying slight pressure to the side of the cap
with a ngernail in a picking fashion. Remove
the brush and spring assembly and compare
the length of the round and square sections of
the brush. When the square section has been
reduced to the length of the round section, the
brush must be replaced to prevent possible
damage to the motor armature. Always replace
the brushes as a set of 2 brushes even though
only one may be at or below the required length.
When reinstalling the brush, make certain that
the sharp corners on the brush are aligned with
the triangular notches in the brass cap and then
the nylon cap over the brush spring – pressing
down to seat the brass cap into the brush tube.
Replace the slotted outer cap and screw down
tightly to prevent loosening.
USE OSTER™BRUSHES
Avoid substitutes. Brushes used in electric
motors are carefully selected for size and grade
to obtain maximum, trouble free performance.
When ordering carbon brushes, specify model
number and voltage of clipper.
BLADE SHARPENING
Oster™cutting blades are of individual hollow-
ground design, hardened to extend cutting life.
As with any cutting instrument, the cutting edges
will become dull with usage. Increasing blade
tension to force dull blades to cut can cause the
clipper to heat and reduce motor life, and further
shorten blade life. When the cutting blades no
longer cut smooth and clean, sharpening is
necessary.

When sharpening blades becomes necessary,
send blades to an Authorized Service Center
where approved methods, equipment and
proper knowledge are used to restore the
original hollow-ground design and best cutting
ability. Sharpening blades by at grinding or any
method contrary to the design and construction
of Oster™cutting blades is not recommended.
REMOVING OR REPLACING BLADES
TO REMOVE:
IMPORTANT! STOP
MOTOR; lift blade away
from clipper and slide of
tongue.
TO REPLACE:
Turn motor on; insert
blade on tongue fully
then snap blade into
place.
LUBRICATING THE BLADES
A light lm of oil should be maintained on
the surface of the cutting blades. Oiling the
blades frequently while in use will help keep
the blades cleaner. Clean blades cut better. To
clean blades, dip the teeth into Oster™Blade
Wash cleaner with the clipper running. DO NOT
IMMERSE THE CLIPPER. Remove from the
mixture and, while holding the clipper with the
blade end down, wipe the blades dry with a
clean, dry cloth. Re-oil blades.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
SERVICING OF A DOUBLE INSULATED
APPLIANCE
In a double insulated appliance, two systems
of insulation are provided instead of grounding.
No grounding means is provided on a double-
insulated appliance, nor should a means for
grounding be added. Servicing a double-
insulated appliance requires extreme care and
knowledge of the system and should be done
only by qualied service personnel.
Replacement parts must be identical to those
parts being replaced.
A double-insulated appliance is marked
with the words “DOUBLE INSULATION” or
“DOUBLE INSULATED” The symbol may also
be marked on the appliance.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
NOTE: Any other maintenance not explained
in this manual should be performed by an
Authorized Service Center. To store unit, coil and
place in original carton.
When using or cleaning this clipper, do
not use any aerosol sprays or blade
washes, especially those containing
methylene chloride, dimethyl benzyl
ammonium chloride, or 1-1-1
trichloroethylene. Damage caused by these
chemicals will void your warranty. You may use
Oster™Blade Wash, Oster™Blade Lube and
Oster™5 in 1 Clipper Blade Care which do not
harm the product.
Disposal in E.U. countries
Do not dispose of the appliance with
domestic refuse. As part of the E.U.
Directive governing the disposal of
electric and electronic appliances, the
appliance is accepted free of charge
by local waste collection points or
recycling centers. Correct disposal will ensure
environment protection and prevent a potential
harmful impact on people and the environment.
Disposal in non-E.U. countries
Please dispose of the appliance at the end
of service life in an environmentally friendly
manner, per applicable local and national laws
and regulations.

1. Once you have located a Service Station,
take your product there. To make packaging
the product easier, use the original
packaging materials and carton if you have
them.
2. If it is necessary to ship the unit to the
Service Station:
a. Pack it carefully in a good carton with
plenty of crumpled paper or other padding
around it. Tape or tie the carton securely.
b. The warranty does not cover damage in
transit. Carefully address the package to
the nearest Service Station. Don’t forget
your name and return address, including
postal zip code.
c. Your Post Ofce will tell you the proper
amount of postage and can insure the
package against loss.
3. If returning a clipper, include blades.
4. When ordering Parts or Accessories specify
the Service number (or Model No. and the
Series Letter) indicated on your product.
LIMITED WARRANTY
This product is warranted for one year from
date of purchase to be free of mechanical and
electrical defects in material and workmanship.
The manufacturer’s obligation hereunder is
limited to repairing such products during the
warranty period, provided the product is sent
prepaid to an Authorized Service Station. This
warranty does not cover normal wear of parts
or damage resulting from any of the following:
Negligent use or misuse of the product, normal
wear and tear, damage, Acts of God, use
on improper voltage or current, use contrary
to operating instructions, or disassembly,
repair or alteration by any person other than
an Authorized Service Station. All warranties
and implied warranties on Oster™clippers are
considered null and void if product failures occur
as a result of using after market components,
such as gear train components, levers,
unsuitable blades, electric power boosters and
other such components and devices. Return
of the Owner Registration Card is not required
for warranty coverage. This warranty gives you
specic legal rights and you may also have other
rights which vary from state to state, province to
province or jurisdiction to jurisdiction. No other
warranty is provided and to the extent prohibited
by applicable law, any implied warranty of
merchantability or tness for a particular purpose
is limited to the duration of this warranty and the
company shall not be responsible for incidental
or consequential damages.
If your appliance includes a country-specic
guarantee or warranty insert please refer to
the terms and conditions of such guarantee
or warranty in place of this guarantee or
contact your local authorized dealer for more
information.

l’ensemble des instructions avant d’utiliser
cet appareil.
DANGER
Pour réduire les risques de choc électrique :
1. Ne pas tenter d’atteindre un appareil tombé
à l’eau. Débrancher immédiatement.
2. Ne pas utiliser en prenant un bain ou une
douche.
3. Ne pas placer ou stocker l’appareil dans un
endroit où il est susceptible de tomber dans
une baignoire ou un évier, ou d’y être entraîné.
4. Ne pas le placer dans l’eau ou tout autre
liquide, ni l’y faire tomber.
5. Toujours débrancher cet appareil de la prise
électrique immédiatement après utilisation.
6. Débrancher cet appareil avant de le nettoyer,
d’y ajouter des pièces ou d’en enlever.

9. Ne pas utiliser cet appareil avec un peigne
ou une lame endommagé ou brisé, car la
peau pourrait être écorchée ou entaillée.
10. Pour débrancher, placer l’ensemble des
commandes en position « OFF » (arrêt), puis
retirer la che de la prise.
11. Ne pas enrouler le cordon autour de
l’appareil pour le ranger. Une contrainte en
continu sur le cordon peut endommager
l’isolant du cordon et présenter un risque de
choc électrique.
12. Éviter tout contact avec les lames en
mouvement.
13. Éviter d’enchevêtrer ou de plier le cordon
pendant la tonte. Si le cordon est enchevêtré
ou plié, arrêter la tonte et redresser le cordon.
14. Cet appareil est pour le découpage et le
rognage des ns seulement.
15. Maintenir l’appareil au sec.
16. La durée de fonctionnement en continu
prévue est de 20 minutes.
17. En cours d’utilisation, ne pas placer ni laisser
l’appareil dans un endroit où il risque :
1) d’être endommagé par les animaux, ou
2) de subir les intempéries.

UTILISER SUR LA TENSION INDIQUÉE SUR
LA TONDEUSE

D’UTILISATION.
FONCTIONNEMENT DE L’APPAREIL
Avant chaque utilisation, appliquer toujours une
ou deux gouttes du lubriant pour les lames
fourni avec l’appareil ou tout autre lubriant
approuvé par Oster™.
L’efcacité des lames peut diminuer et les lames
et le moteur peuvent s’endommager si les
cheveux sont sales ou si des lotions de mise en
plis sont utilisées. Toujours utiliser la tondeuse
sur des cheveux propres.
1. Allumez la tondeuse en appuyant sur le
bouton “On-Off” situé sur le dessus de
l’appareil et utiliser votre tondeuse.
2. Éteignez la tondeuse après utilisation.
3. Recouvrez les têtes de coupes avec le
protège lames fournies avec l’appareil pour
protéger les têtes de coupes.
4. Débranchez l’appareil après utilisation et
rangez-le correctement.
Instructions d’Entretien :
1. Ce produit est pour usage commercial.
2. Gardez le cordon droit pendant que vous
utuliser la tondeuse. Si le l électrique
s’emmêle ou se tord, arrêtez l’appareil et
remettez le l électrique droit.
3. N’enroulez pas l électrique autour de
la tondeuse quand vous le rangez. Cela
pourrait nuire à l’isolation du l électrique.
4. Veillez toujours à ne pas emmêler le l
électrique quand vous utilisez ou ranger la
tondeuse.
5. Nous vous recommandons de ranger la
tondeuse et le l électrique dans l’emballage
d’origine quand vous ne l’utilisez pas.
GRAISSAGE
Trop graisser peut provoquer des fuites et réduire
l’efcacité de fonctionnement de la tondeuse.
Vérier le graissage une fois par mois en retirant
le capot. Retirer ensuite le levier en nylon, la
liaison métallique et le pignon. Insérer le bec
du tube de graissage dans le trou en haut du
pignon. (REMARQUE : si la graisse ne sort pas,
nettoyer l’embout du tube.) NE PAS REMPLIR
LE TROU DE GRAISSE. Remettre la liaison et
le pignon en place et graisser légèrement les
dents du pignon et de la liaison. N’utiliser que
la graisse pour tondeuse électrique OSTER
ELECTIRC CLIPPER GREASE. Cette graisse
doit être utilisée pour les tondeuses à isolation
double en raison de ses propriétés isolantes.
ATTENTION : N’AJOUTER QUE TRES PEU
DE GRAISSE ET SEULEMENT SI CELA EST
NECESSAIRE.
BALAIS DE CHARBON
Les balais doivent régulièrement être contrôlés
et remplacés pour assurer la performance
maximum du moteur et en prolonger la durée
de vie. DEBRANCHER LA TONDEUSE POUR
EVITER TOUT RISQUE D’ELECTROCUTION
LORS DU CONTROLE OU DU
REMPLACEMENT DES BALAIS. Pour retirer
un balai sur les modèles pourvus d’un CAPOT
A FENTE, dévisser le capot (utiliser pour cela
une pièce de monnaie) et retirer le capot isolant
en nylon. Retirer le capot en laiton en appliquant
une légère pression sur le côté du capot avec
l’ongle comme pour le faire sauter. Retirer le
balai et le ressort et comparer la longueur de la
section arrondie à celle de la section carrée du
balai. Lorsque la section carrée est de la même
longueur que la section arrondie, le balai doit
être remplacé pour éviter tout endommagement
de l’armature du moteur. Toujours remplacer
les balais par 2 même si un des balais est
de la longueur requise ou juste en-dessous.
En installant le balai, s’assurer que les coins
coupants du balai sont alignés par rapport aux
crans triangulaires du capot en laiton. Placer le
capot en nylon sur le ressort de balai et appuyer
dessus pour positionner le capot en laiton dans
le tube à balai. Remettre le capot extérieur à
fente en place et bien visser pour éviter qu’il ne
se desserre.
UTILISATION DES BALAIS OSTER
Eviter d’utiliser des produits d’autres marques.
Les balais utilisés dans les moteurs électriques
sont soigneusement choisis en matière de
taille et de qualité, pour obtenir la meilleure
performance possible. Lors de la commande
de balais de charbon, spécier le numéro du
modèle et la tension de la tondeuse.
AIGUISAGE DES TETES DE COUPE
Les têtes de coupe Oster™sont composées de
dents à émouture concave individuelles en acier
trempé pour prolonger leur qualité d’aiguisage.
Comme pour tout équipement de coupe, les
