Suchaccumulations inside the toaster create unsanitary conditions andthe

without the crumb tray being replaced initscorrect position.

Short Power Supply Cord Instructions
Ashortpower-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becomingentangledinortrippingoveralongercord.Anextensioncordmay
beusedifcareisexercisedinitsuse.Ifanextensioncordisused,the
electrical rating of the cord must be atleast as great as the electrical rating of
theappliance.Theextensioncordshouldbearrangedsothatitwillnotdrape
over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped

Toreducetheriskofelectricalshock,thisappliancehasapolarizedplug (one

Preparing To Use Your Toaster fortheFirstTime
If you are using your toaster for the first time, please be sure to:
•Removeanystickersfromthesurfaceofthetoasterandwipetheoutsideof
your toaster with a damp cloth.
•InserttheRemovableCrumbTrayintothecrumbtrayslot.
•MakecertainthattheBreadCarriageLeverisintheuppermostposition
before plugging in the toaster’s power cord.
•Selectalocationforthetoaster.Thelocationshouldbe:
 •Aflat,heat-resistant,non-flammablesurface.
 •Atleastthreeinchesawayfromwallsorthebackofcountertops.
 •Atleastonefootawayfromanycabinetorshelvingthatmaybeabovethe
toaster.
 •Awayfromflammablematerials,suchascurtainsandwallfabric.
 •Awayfromagasstoveflameorelectricelement.
•PlugthePowerCordinto120Volt,60HzACoutlet.
•Plugintoasterwithoutinsertinganyfoodintothebreadslots,pushthe
BreadLeverallthewaydownuntilitlocks.(Thecarriagewillnotlockif
the toaster is not plugged into a power source.) The first toasting process
will preheat the new elements and burn off any dust which may have
accumulated during storage or manufacturing. It is normal for this burn off to
create an odor.

Using Your Toaster
Inserting the food into the bread slots and toasting:
•Mosttypesofbreadsandpastriescanbetoasted,suchasbagels,tea
cakes, thickly sliced breads, English muffins, etc. Slices should not,
however, be so thick as to jam the bread slots.
•Whentoastingtwoslicesatatime,theslicesshouldbeofequalsizeand
freshness toensure even toasting.
•Whentoastingtwoslicesofbread,placeonesliceinthecenterofeach
bread slot.
•Whentoastingonesliceofbread,placethesliceinthecenterofeither
bread slot.

To Toast Your Food:
•Insertthefoodintothebreadslots.
•PresstheBreadCarriageLeveruntilitlocks.
Note: Toast is the default setting if no food or function select buttons are chosen.
•Afterthedesiredlevelofdarknesshasbeenreached,thefoodwillpopup
automatically.TheBreadCarriageLeverwillreturntotheuppositionandthe
indicator lights will turn off.
•Carefullyremovethetoastedfoodfromthebreadslots.
•TousetheToastLift,pressuponthebreadcarriagelevertoliftfoodoutof
the bread slots. It is a convenient and safe way of retrieving hot foods.
To Toast Your Bagel: (Single Side Bagel Toasting)
This feature activates heat to the inner heating elements to cook the insides of
your cut bagel without burning the outside.
•Placethecutbagelintothetoastingslotswiththeinsideofthebagelfacing
inwards toward the middle of the toaster.
•PresstheBagelbutton.TheBagellightwillilluminatetoindicateyourselection.
•PresstheBreadCarriageLeveruntilitlocks.
•Afterthedesiredlevelofdarknesshasbeenreached,thefoodwillpopup
automatically.TheBreadCarriageLeverwillreturntotheuppositionandthe
indicator lights will turn off.
•Carefullyremovethetoastedbagelfromthebreadslots.
•TousetheToastLift,pressuponthebreadcarriagelevertoliftfoodoutof
the bread slots. It is a convenient and safe way of retrieving hot foods.
To Toast Frozen Food:
•Insertthefoodintothebreadslots.
•PresstheFrozenbutton.TheFrozenlightwillilluminatetoindicateyour
selection.Ifdesired,pressfoodselect(Toast,BagelandPastry).Ifnofood
is selected the Toaster will operate in Toast mode. The Toaster will defrost
and then toast your food.
•PresstheBreadCarriageLeveruntilitlocks.
•Afterthedesiredlevelofdarknesshasbeenreached,thefoodwillpopup
automatically.TheBreadCarriageLeverwillreturntotheuppositionandthe
indicator lights will turn off.
•Carefullyremovethetoastedfoodfromthebreadslots.
•TousetheToastLift,pressuponthebreadcarriagelevertoliftfoodoutof
the bread slots. It is a convenient and safe way of retrieving hot foods.
To Toast Your Pastry:
•Insertthefoodintothebreadslots.
•PressthePastrybuttonifyouaregoingtotoastapastry.ThePastry
indicator will light. This option will allow the toaster to adjust the time
needed to toast pastries according to the shade level selected.
•PresstheBreadCarriageLeveruntilitlocks.
•Afterthedesiredlevelofdarknesshasbeenreached,thefoodwillpopup
 automatically.TheBreadCarriageLeverwillreturntotheuppositionandthe
indicator lights will turn off.

WARNING: Never insert your fingers or metallic utensils into the bread slots
WARNING: Be careful when toasting pastries with fillings or coatings,
as they can get extremely hot.

WARNING: Toasted food can be very hot. Handle with care.

•TousetheToastLift,pressuponthebreadcarriagelevertoliftfoodoutof
the bread slots. It is a convenient and safe way of retrieving hot foods.
NOTES:
•TheAuto-AdjustingBreadGuideswillautomaticallycenterthefoodforeven
browning.
•Toastisthedefaultsettingifnofoodorfunctionselectbuttonsarechosen.
Using the Cancel Function:
Press the Cancel button. The toaster will stop toasting immediately and the
food will pop up automatically.
Cleaning Your Toaster
After use and before cleaning, unplug the toaster Power Cord from the power
outlet andwait for the toaster tocool.
•Wipetheoutsideofthetoasterwithadampclothandthendryitwith
anotherclothorpapertowel.Donotuseabrasivecleaners;theywilldamage
the toaster’s finish.
•Lightlytapthesidesofthetoastertodislodgeanycrumbscaughtin
the toast chamber. Remove the Crumb Tray and empty it. Wipe the tray
clean with adamp cloth or place it in the top rack of your dishwasher for
cleaning. Becertain to put theCrumbTray back into thetoaster before using
thetoaster again.
•Wipethesurfaceonthetopofthebreadslotswithadampcloth
anddryitwithanother cloth or paper towel.
•DonotimmerseToasterinliquids.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Tip: Yourtoasterhasbeendesignedforoptimumtoastbalance.Some
elements ontheinsideof the toaster may glow more brightly than others
when inuse. Thisispart of normal toaster operation.
To remove food jammed in the bread slots: unplug the toaster and
remove thefood once thetoaster has cooled down.
Do not place food on top of toaster while it is warming.
Do not try to force the food out with the toast lift lever. This may damage the
toaster.
WARNING: Empty the Crumb Tray frequently.
Crumbswillaccumulate in the Crumb Tray and couldcatch fire
if not emptied periodically.

One Year Limited Warranty
Sunbeam Products, Inc. doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions or if in Canada,
SunbeamCorporation(Canada)LimiteddoingbusinessasJardenConsumerSolutions
(collectively“JCS”)warrantsthatforaperiodofoneyearfromthedateofpurchase,this
product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will repair or
replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty
period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the
product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or
greatervalue.Thisisyourexclusivewarranty.DoNOTattempttorepairoradjustanyelectrical
or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase
and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain
warranty performance. JCS dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling JCS products do not
have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the
following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use
contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than
JCSoranauthorizedJCSservicecenter.Further,thewarrantydoesnotcover:ActsofGod,
such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes.
What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?
JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the
breachofanyexpress,impliedorstatutorywarrantyorcondition.
Excepttotheextentprohibitedbyapplicablelaw,anyimpliedwarrantyorconditionof
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration
of the above warranty.
JCSdisclaimsallotherwarranties,conditionsorrepresentations,express,implied,
statutory or otherwise.
JCS shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use
or misuse of, or inability to use the product including incidental, special, consequential

suselección.
•EmpujehaciaabajolaPalancaPortadoradePanhastaquesetrabeensusitio.
•Luegodealcanzarelniveldetostadoescogido,lasroscasselevantarán
automáticamente.LaPalancaPortadoradePanvolveráalaposiciónsuperiory

•Retireconcuidadolasroscastostadasdelasranuras.
Para tostar alimentos congelados:

•Luegodealcanzarelniveldetostadoescogido,losalimentosselevantarán

ADVERTENCIA: Jamás inserte los dedos ni utensilios demetal en las ranuras.

productoyanoestuvieradisponible,seloreemplazaráporunproductosimilardevalor
igualosuperior.Éstaessugarantíaexclusiva.Nointenterepararoajustarninguna
funcióneléctricaomecánicadeesteproducto.Alhacerloelimínaráéstagarantía.
Lagarantíaesválidaparaelcompradorminoristaoriginalapartirdelafechade
