1. FP3 W Type(Wire) Link Unit

Station Number ( UNIT NO.) Selector
A maximum of 32 W Type(Wire) Link Units can be connected in a
network. In the W Type(Wire) Link System, each W Type(Wire) Link Unit
must be assigned a unique station number in the network.

Communication Interface
•Any setting for Mode Selector Switch(MODE SW.) number 2 is ignored.
•A maximum of 16 stations can be set for PC Link Mode in a single network.
•A maximum of 2 P/W Link units can be set for PC Link Mode in a single
CPU.
•The station number(UNIT NO.) must be assigned within the range of 01
to 32
•The stations which are set for P/W PC Link Mode must be assigned
stastion numbers(UNIT NO.) in the range of 01 to 16.
•Duplicate use of the same station number(UNIT NO.) in a network will
cause the ERROR 2 LED to turn ON and the units will not be able to
communicate.
• If erroneous station numbers (00 or 33 to 99) are used, the ERROR 1 LED
will turn ON and the units will not be able to communicate.
•Refer to page 63,"ERROR LED ON/Flash Flowchart", for details about the
steps to take when ERROR 1 or ERROR 2 LEDs turn ON.

RECEIVE ON : when receiving
LED OFF : when not receiving
TRANSMIT ON : when sending
LED OFF : when not sending
PC LINK ON : when PC Link Mode is set
LED OFF : when PC Link Mode is not set
ALARM ON : unit error
LED OFF : normal unit operation
R/W LED ON : when the unit is communicating with the CPU
OFF : when the unit is not communicating with the CPU
ERROR 1 Flashes : unit hardware error(hardware self-diagnostic error)
LED* OFF : normal unit operation
ERROR 2 ON : communication error, or identical use of station
LED* number(UNIT NO.), or Link Area setting error
Flashes : station number(UNIT NO.) setting error
OFF : normal unit operation
