STEP 1. Align chair
back holes with
chair seat holes.

Before beginning assembly, make sure you have all parts. Note that
not all parts pictured are to scale.

•Standard Phillips Head Screwdriver

STEP 2. Take apart one
Barrel Bolt Assembly,
inserting the Barrel Bolt
into the lined-up holes
(FIGURE 2), if the Barrel Bolt
doesn't go in easily, push
it all the way in using the
Allen Wrench.
Line up the other set of
holes, repeating this step
with a second Barrel Bolt
Assembly.

Use ONLY
a Standard
Phillips Head
Screwdriver to
tighten Barrel
Bolt Assemblies;
using a drill can
strip the Barrel
Bolt head,
marring the
appearance of
your chair.

To correctly thread Barrel Bolts to Bolt Fasteners:
Fit the Fastener over the bottom of the Bolt,
turning the Fastener at rst counterclockwise,
until you hear a slight click, then begin
tightening clockwise as you normally would.

Your Durawood Furniture comes with several
pegs to increase sturdiness. Wherever you
nd a peg hole, insert peg. You may need to
use a small mallet to tap the plug into place.

STEP 3. Align bottom
chair frame with rear legs,
making sure peg and
peg holes align. (Figure
3) Take apart one Barrel
Bolt Assembly, inserting
the Barrel Bolt into a set
of lined-up holes, if the
Barrel Bolt doesn't go in
easily, push it all the way
in using the Allen Wrench.
Fit Bolt Fastener over the
bottom of the Barrel Bolt
and tighten using the Allen
Wrench and a Standard
Phillips Head Screwdriver.
Do not over tighten.
Repeat for opposite side.

STEP 4. Turn chair with right side facing up. Align both peg
holes in the arm/leg assembly with pegs on side of chair.
(You may need to wiggle the chair seat to allow for proper
seeding.) Attach barrel bolt assembly as previously instructed
for each of the 3 holes on the side of the chair. Do not over
tighten. Flip chair over to left side and repeat with left leg.
STEP 5. Tighten all Barrel Bolt Assemblies securely.
