Environmental protection / Scrapping
Recycle unwanted material instead of throwing
it in the trash. All machines, accessories and
packaging materials must be sorted and left
at a recycling centre and disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner.
Work environment
‐ Keep the work environment clean and well lit.
Noisy and dark environments can cause accidents.
‐Do not use power tools in explosive
environments. That is, in the vicinity of ammable
liquids, gases or dirt. The power tool may emit
sparks that can cause accidents in the wrong
environment.
‐ Keep children and bystanders at an appropriate
distance when using the power tool. Distractions
can lead to reduced control.
Electrical safety
‐ The power tool sockets must match the power
delivery socket. Never change the connector
in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with
earthed power tools.
‐ Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such
as pipes, radiators, stoves and refrigerators.
‐ Do not expose the power tool to rain or
moisture. Water entering the power tool
increases the risk of electric shock.
‐ Use an extension cord suitable for outdoor
use when using the power tool outdoors. Using
a cord that is suitable for outdoor use reduces
therisk of electric shocks.
Personal safety
‐ Be careful, watch what you’re doing and
use common sense when using a power tool.
Donot use a power tool if you are tired or under
the inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
Amoment of inattention when working with
power tools can lead to serious personal injury.
‐ Wear appropriate safety equipment such as
safety goggles, hearing protection and safety
footwear to reduce the risk of personal injury.
‐ Avoid accidental start. Make sure the switch is
in the off position before connecting the power
tool. Do not carry the tool with your ngers on
the switch, as there is a risk of injury if the power
tool is connected to electricity without the user’s
knowledge.
‐ Remove any adjustment key or wrench before
turning on the tool. A wrench attached to a rotating
part of the tool could lead to personal injury.
‐ Always maintain a rm grip on the tool.
‐ Do not wear loose tting clothing or jewellery.
Keep hair, jewellery and gloves away from the tool’s
moving parts.
Power tools – Use and maintenance
‐ Use the right tool for the purpose and do not
overload the power tool. The correct power tool
does the job better and safer and at the pace it was
designed for.
‐ Make sure the power tool’s switch is in the off
position before connecting the plug to the power
source.
‐ Unplug from the power source before making
any adjustments, changing accessories or the like.
Such measures reduce the risk of the power tool
starting by mistake.
‐ Keep the power tool out of the reach of children
and other unauthorised persons.
‐ Maintenance of power tools. Check that the parts
of the power tool are intact and that all functions
are working as they should. If a fault is detected,
have it repaired by an authorised repairer before
using the power tool again. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained tools.
‐ Keep the cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges
are less likely to jam and are easier to control.
‐ Use the power tool and accessories etc. in
accordance with these instructions and in the
manner intended for the type of power tool
in question, taking into account the working
conditions and the work to be performed.
Use
‐Do not use accessories that are not specically
designed or recommended by the tool manufacturer.
Just because the accessory can be attached to
your power tool does not guarantee safe operation.
‐ The outer diameter and thickness of your
accessory must be within the capacity of the power
tool. Accessories that are not properly adjusted
cannot be adequately monitored or controlled.
‐ Do not use damaged accessories. Check that
allaccessories are in a good and safe condition.
‐ Wear protective equipment. Safety goggles,
hearing protection, gloves, safe footwear, etc.
‐ People looking on must be at a safe distance
from the power tool. Those who are near the work
environment must be wearing safety equipment.
‐Never put the tool down before it has come to a
complete stop. Wait until moving parts have stopped
and then put the power tool in a safe place.
‐ Do not operate the tool while carrying it by your
side. Accidental contact with the spinning part can
cause injury.
