❹ WARRANTY
Phicomm (Shanghai) Co., Ltd offers warranty service for the period
of 24 months for this product. The warranty app ies from the date
of purchase by the first customer and it is on y va id upon
presentation of the proof of purchase consisting of origina invoice
or sa es s ip indicating the date of purchase, dea er’s name and
mode name of the product. If proof of purchase cannot be
presented, the date of production app ies. P ease note the
warranty period for accessories such as batteries, back cover,
headset and USB data cab e is imited to 6 months.
The warranty is not app icab e to cases other than defects in
materia , design and workmanship. Warranty repairs must be
carried out by a Phicomm Authorized Service Centre. Repairs
during warranty period sha be carried on to the dea er from
whom it was purchased.
Phicomm Europe GmbH and its service partners reserve the right
to charge a hand ing fee if a returned device is not covered by the
warranty.
Phicomm sha not be iab e for the oss of any saved / stored data
in products that are either repaired or rep aced. P ease safe your
data beforehand.
The warranty for this product is void by opening or dismant ing the

AFETY PRECAUTION
When using this product, the safety precautions be ow must be
taken to avoid possib e ega iabi ities and damages.
Retain and fo ow a product safety and operating instructions.
Observe a warnings in the operating instructions on the product.
To reduce the risk of body injury, e ectric shock, fire, and damage
to the equipment, observes the fo owing precautions.
❶ PROPER GROUNDING INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Connecting to a weaker inappropriate
charger can result in an electric shock to the device.
This product is equipped with a USB cab e for connecting with
desktop or notebook computers. Be sure your computer is
proper y grounded (earthed) before connecting this product to the
computer. The power supp y cord of a desktop or notebook
computer has an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding
p ug. The p ug must be p ugged into an appropriate out et which is
proper y insta ed and grounded in accordance with a oca codes
and ordinances.

breakdown or safety accident caused by using any unauthorized
battery or externa power source.

The product contains a Li-ion battery. There is a risk of fire and
burns if the battery pack is hand ed improper y. Do not attempt to
open or service the battery pack. To reduce risk of fire or burns, do
not disassemb e, crush, puncture, short externa contacts or
circuits, or expose a battery pack to temperatures higher than 60˚C
(140˚F), or expose in fire.

Instructions for battery disposal
1. If the battery of the product is marked with this
symbo , it is subject to the European Directive
2006/66/EC.
2. Batteries must a ways be separated from househo d waste and
disposed according to app icab e regu ations.
3. By ensuring correct disposa of your o d batteries harmfu
effects on humans, anima s and the environment can be
avoided.
4. For detai ed information about disposa of used batteries,

shop where you purchased the product.
Take extra precaution
Keep the battery or device dry and away from water or any
iquid as it may cause a short circuit.
Keep meta objects away so they don’t come in contact with the
battery or its connectors as it may ead to short circuit during
operation.
Do not use a battery that appears damaged, deformed, or
disco ored, or the one that has any rust on its casing, overheats,
or emits a fou odor.

❸ DIRECT SUNLIG T
Keep this product away from excessive moisture and extreme
temperatures. The device is designed to be operated in
temperatures between 0°C and 33°C (32°F to 91.4°F). Low-or
high-temperature conditions might temporari y shorten battery
ife or cause the device to temporari y stop working proper y. Do
not eave the product or its battery inside a vehic e or in p aces
where the temperature may exceed 60°C (140°F), such as on a car
dashboard, window si , or behind a g ass that is exposed to direct
sun ight or strong u travio et ight for extended periods of time.
Avoid dramatic changes in temperature or humidity when using
the device as condensation may form on or within the device.
When you are using the device or charging the battery, it is norma
for device to get warm. The exterior of the device functions as a
coo ing surface that transfers heat from inside the unit to the
coo er air outside.
❹ SAFTETY IN AIRCRAFT
Due to the possib e interference caused by this product to an
aircraft’s navigation system and its communications network, using
this device on board an airp ane is against the aw in most
countries. P ease comp y with a regu ations specified by air ines
and turn off the phone or switch to Airp ane Mode.
❺ EXPLOSIVE ATMOSP ERES
In any area with a potentia y exp osive atmosphere or where
f ammab e materia s exist, the product shou d be turned off and
the user shou d obey a signs and instructions. Sparks in such
areas cou d cause an exp osion or fire resu ting in body injury or
even death. Users are advised not to use the equipment at
refue ing areas such as service or gas stations, and are reminded of
the need to observe restrictions on the use of radio equipment in
fue depots, chemica p ants, or where b asting operations are in
progress. Areas with a potentia y exp osive atmosphere are often,
but not a ways, c ear y marked. These inc ude fue ing areas, be ow
deck on boats, fue or chemica transfer or storage faci ities, and

❶ PREVENT EARING LOSS
CAUTION: To prevent possible hearing damage, do
not listen at high volume levels for long periods.
Permanent hearing oss may occur if the receiver, headphones,
speakerphone, or earpieces are used at high vo ume. Use on y
compatib e receivers, headphones, speakerphones or earpieces
with your device. Turn on the audio and check the vo ume before
inserting anything into ears. If you experience ringing in your ears
or muff ed speech, stop istening and have your hearing checked.
The ouder the vo ume, the ess time is required before the hearing
cou d be affected. Suggestions to protect the hearing:
Limit the amount of time to use the receiver, headphones,
speakerphone, or earpieces at high vo ume.
Avoid turning up the vo ume to b ock out noisy surroundings.
Turn the vo ume down if you can’t hear peop e speaking near
you.

Avoid using your phone near meta structures (for examp e, the
stee frame of a bui ding).

Some digita wire ess phones may interfere with some hearing aid
devices. In the event of such interference, you may want to consu t
your service provider, or ca the customer service ine to discuss

The device may cause disturbance to pacemakers.
P ease keep the device a proper distance of at east 5
centimeters away from pacemakers. In no case
shou d the device be put in the front pocket of your
shirt or coat.
If you need detai ed information about other active
imp antab e medica devices, p ease consu t your
doctor to ensure the magnetic interference of such
active imp antab e medica devices.

Your device has an interna antenna. This product shou d be
operated in its norma -use position to ensure the radiative
performance and safety of the interference. As with other mobi e
radio transmitting equipment, users are advised that for
satisfactory operation of the equipment and for the safety of
personne , it is recommended that no part of the human body be
a owed to come too c ose to the antenna during operation of the
equipment.

re evant standards, a ways use your device on y in its norma -use
position. Contact with the antenna area may impair ca qua ity
and cause your device to operate at a higher power eve than

❶ AVOID APPLYING EXCESSIVE PRESSURE TO T E DEVICE
Do not app y excessive pressure on the screen and the device to
prevent damaging them and causing cracked disp ay of the touch
screens. Do not put the device in your pants’ pocket for a
pro onged period of time.
❷ DEVICE IS GETTING WARM AFTER PROLONGED USE
When using your device for pro onged periods of time, such as
when you’re ta king on the phone, charging the battery or
browsing the web, the device may become warm. In most cases,
this condition is norma and therefore shou d not be interpreted as
a prob em with the device.
❸ EED SERVICE MARKINGS
Except as exp ained e sewhere in the Operating or Service
documentation, do not repair any product yourse f. Service needed
on components inside the device shou d be done by an authorized
service out et or provider.
PHICOMM is entit ed to use new or reconditioned rep acements
parts or boards for repairs under warranty, provided they have the
same functiona ity as the parts to be rep aced.
❹ DEMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE
Unp ug the product from the e ectrica out et and refer servicing to
an authorized service center or provider under the fo owing
conditions:
Liquid has been spi ed or an object has fa en onto the product.
The product has been exposed to rain or water.
There are noticeab e signs of overheating.
The product does not operate norma y when you fo ow the
operating instructions.
❺ Avoid heat / Wet areas
The product shou d be p aced away from heat sources such as
radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other products (inc uding
amp ifiers) that produce heat.
Never use the product in a wet ocation.

❻ AVOID DRAMATIC C ANGE IN TEMPERATURE
When you move your device between environments with very
different temperature and/or humidity ranges, condensation may
form on or within the device. To avoid damaging the device, a ow
sufficient time for the moisture to evaporate before using the
device.
NOTICE: When taking the device from low temperature conditions
into a warmer environment or from high temperature conditions
into a cooler environment, allow the device to acclimate to room
temperature before turning on power.
❼ AVOID PUS ING OBJECTS INTO T E DEVICE
Never push objects of any kind into cabinet s ots or other openings
in the product. S ots and openings are provided for venti ation.
These openings must not be b ocked or covered.
❽ MOUNTING ACCESSORIES
Do not use the product on an unstab e tab e, cart, stand, tripod, or
bracket. Any mounting of the product shou d fo ow the
manufacturer’s instructions, and shou d use a mounting accessory
recommended by the manufacturer.
❾ AVOID UNSTABLE MOUNTING
Do not p ace the product with an unstab e base.
❿ USE PRODUCT WIT APPOVED EQUIPMENT
This product shou d be used on y with persona computers and
options identified as suitab e for use with your equipment.

Turn down the vo ume before using head-phones or other audio
devices.
⓬ CLEANING
Unp ug the product from the wa out et before c eaning. Do not
use iquid c eaners or aeroso c eaners. Use a damp c oth for
c eaning, but NEVER use water to c ean the LCD screen.

that it cou d dispose dirt and sweat on its surface. The device itse f
does not have a stain-resistant function. In case of smudginess and
dyeing, p ease wipe it with c ean damp sponge immediate y. P ease

Phicomm smartphones are based on Android Software p atform.
Android™ is an operating system that was deve oped for mobi e
devices with touch contro s (smartphones and tab ets). You can
customize your smartphone individua y and de ete, add or
expand app ications. Hundreds of thousands of app ications are
avai ab e via Goog e P ay™ - you can choose from simp e games
to comp ex mu timedia app ications.
Android™ is continuous y deve oped. Software updates from

ASSEMBLING
OPEN
Make sure your phone is turned off.
Remove the back cover.
Ho d the ower eft quarter of the back cover up with your
thumbs or fingers and remove it from the opening.
INSERT SIM CARD
Insert the SIM card into the s ot with the go d contacts facing
down and the cut-off corner facing inside.
Your phone is operating with Dua SIM; two SIM cards can be
insta ed at the same time. SIM1 s ot does support 2G/3G/4G
cards, whi e SIM2 on y support 2G cards.
INSERT MICRO SD CARD (OPTIONAL)
Make sure the phone is turned off.
Insert the microSD card into the s ot with its go d contacts
facing down.

INSTALL BATTERY
Your device is equipped with a rechargeab e ithium-ion battery
and is designed to use on y manufacturer-approved batteries and
accessories. Battery performance depends on many factors,
inc uding network configuration, the phone operating room
temperature, se ected and used functions and settings, patterns of
use of sound, data and other app ications. The new battery in the
phone is on y ha f charged. P ease charge the battery fu y before
use.
A ign the battery’s exposed copper contacts with the battery
connectors inside the battery compartment.
Insert the contact’s side of the battery first then gent y push
the battery into p ace.
CLOSING
Rep ace the back cover c icking it back into position.

The battery is partia y charged when shipped. Before you turn
on and start using your phone, it is recommended that you fu y
charge the battery. Some batteries perform best after severa
times of fu charge/discharge cyc es.

TIP:
Use the following tips to improve your battery performance:
Before first use, charge your device 100%, as the battery is
partially charged when shipped.
Charge the device frequently as some batteries perform best
after several times of full charge / discharge cycles.
Disable all data connection over mobile network, if there is
not internet access.
Deactivate Bluetooth™ and WLAN if unnecessary.
Extend the interval of the synchronization frequency (e.g.
synchronization of e mail, calendar, and contacts). Remove the
protective fi m before using the phone.
Do not repair a damaged screen yourse f, because this may
cause damage that is not covered under the warranty.
USING THE TOUCH SCREEN
To protect your phone the device is supp ied with a protective fi m
on the screen. You shou d pee off this fi m before using it, as the
fi m may resu t in impairment.
The screen is made of g ass. P ease do not touch it if the disp ay is
cracked or broken. Do not try to repair a damaged screen yourse f.
A so, be carefu not to drop the device. A neg igent hand ing is not
covered by Phicomm warranty. There are severa ways to use your

To type using the keyboard, se ect items on screen such as
app ications or setting icon or press on screen buttons simp y then
tap them with your finger.

To open the avai ab e options for an item (for examp e a contact or
ink in a web page) simp y press and ho d the item.

SWIPE OR SLIDE
To swipe or s ide means to quick y drag finger vertica y or
horizonta y across the screen.
DRAG
Press and ho d fingers with some pressure before starting to drag.
Whi e dragging do not re ease finger unti reach the target
position.
FLICK
F icking the screen is simi ar to swiping, except that you need to
swipe your finger in ight, quick strokes. This finger gesture is
a ways in a vertica direction, such as when f icking the contacts or
messaging ist.
ROTATE
For most screens you can automatica y change the screen
orientation from portrait to andscape by turning the phone
sideways. When entering text, you can turn the phone sideways to
bring up a bigger keyboard.
PINC
In some apps, ike ga ery or the web browser “pinch” the screen
using two fingers (for examp e, thumb and index finger) to zoom in
or zoom out when viewing a picture or a web page.
P ace two fingers on the screen and pu them together to zoom in
and pu open to zoom out. The fingers must be in the zoom ab e
ine region (for examp e, within the photo frame).
SENSORS
Phicomm device has sensors for ight and distance measurement.
The screen brightness is adjusted according to the intensity of the
ambient ight. The proximity sensor turns the touch screen off
when your ear is near the screen to prevent turning on other
device functions accidenta y.

GETTING STARTED
TURN ON
The battery must be charged for at east 30 minutes before turning
on for the first time.
Press and ho d the Power button.
When prompted insert your PIN code (supp ied with your SIM
card) and confirm.
START-UP WIZARD
If you take your PHICOMM smartphone for the first time in
operation, the Goog e start-up wizard wi pass you through severa
screens to make the initia settings.
TURN OFF
Press and ho d the Power button, to turn of the device.
Confirm with Power off > OK.
SOUND AND NOTIFICATION
When device is turned on, press and ho d the Power button.

The home screen provides a ot of free space to add new items.
You can add new app ications, shortcuts, fo ders or Goog e too s to
quick y save messages and app ications.
EXTEND OME SCREEN
The home screen can be extended beyond the screen width to
provide more space to add new icons or widgets. Tap home screen
and s ide finger to the eft or to the right quick y.
MOVE ITEMS ON OME SCREEN
1. Press and ho d the items to enab e the editing mode.
2. Fix finger on the scene and drag the item direct y to the
desired ocation and re ease finger.
TIP:
If you want to move the item from the home screen to the
extended home screen, press and hold the item and drag it to
the left or right. Then the scene will switch to the extended home
screen, locate the item on the scene and release finger.
DELETE ITEMS FROM OME SCREEN
1. Press and ho d the item you wou d ike to de ete unti the
Word Remove appears on the top of the screen.
2. Drag the item to the word Remove.

C ANGE T E WALLPAPER
1. Press and ho d the home screen.
2. Press WALLPAPER to se ect a wa paper option.

The app ication screen can be open via home screen and

app ication screen extends beyond the regu ar screen width, so

OPTIMIZE PHONE MEMORY
The phone memory is made up as fo ows:
Interna memory: Random Access Memory (RAM)
Interna drive space: Read On y Memory (ROM)
SD-card: drive space
The RAM is usua y very imied. It mus be ensured that a sufficient
amount of memory (RAM) is a ways avai ab e. Otherwise, the
phone reacts very s uggish, app ications can not boot or crash and
cause new apps insta ation fai ure. P ease note RAM can not be
expanded.
The majority of the interna drive memory is a ready occupied by
the operation system and pre-insta ed app ications. These can’t be
removed without proper root privi ges. P ease note, warranty
expires if the devices was rooted se f-emp oyed.
The ROM can be expanded by using a SD card. Many app ications
can be insta ed direct y to the SD card after down oad. However,
each app ication wi sti store some data automatica y on the
ROM. Unfortunate y, some app ications can not be moved to the
SD card as these do not work proper y from there.
Here are some tips for setting your Phicomm smartphone to save
storage space:
1. Apps that start automatically
Sure y you use app ications where it is desireab e that these
start immediate y after switching on the phone. Other hand,
numerous app ications are preinsta ed that you do not use. The
socia network apps for examp e most y use a huge part of ROM
and RAM.

2. Monitor background processes
In most cases the background processes of the app ications
make your device to work more s ow y.
You can enab e the network restrictions as fo owing:

The devices comes with switched off mobi e data. If you wish to
activate mobi e data p ease make sure that the mobi e data on
your SIM card is activated by your provider. To activate mobi e
data on your smartphone p ease fo ow these steps:
1. Swipe down the upper screen area twice.
2. Tap on SIM cards (signa strenght bar).
3. Tap on More Settings.
4. Choose the SIM card you wou d ike to activate mobi e data
for.
5. Tap on Cellular data, to activate the mobi e data services for
the chosen SIM card.
MANAGE THE BASE SETTINGS
Customize various device settings to satisfy your needs. For
