Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to Philips! To fully
benefit from the support that Philips offers, register your product at
www.philips.com/welcome.
Use AirFloss with your favorite mouthwash as part of your oral care
routine. In addition to brushing, AirFloss helps reduce the plaque in
between teeth in order to improve your gum health.
Important
Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and
save it for future reference.
Danger
- Keep the charger away from water. Do not place or store it over or
near water contained in a bathtub, washbasin, sink etc. Do not
immerse the charger in water or any other liquid. After cleaning,
make sure the charger is completely dry before you connect it to
the mains.
Warning
- The mains cord cannot be replaced. If the mains cord is damaged,
discard the charger.
- Always have the charger replaced with one of the original type in
order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use the charger outdoors or near heated surfaces.
- If the appliance is damaged in any way (brush head, toothbrush
handle or charger), stop using it. This appliance contains no
serviceable parts. If the appliance is damaged, contact the
Consumer Care Center in your country (see chapter 'Warranty and
support').

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in
a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised.
Caution
- Do not clean the brush head, the handle or the charger in the
dishwasher.
- If you have had oral or gum surgery in the previous 2 months,
consult your dentist before you use the toothbrush.
- Consult your dentist if excessive bleeding occurs after using this
toothbrush or if bleeding continues to occur after 1 week of use.
Also consult your dentist if you experience discomfort or pain
when you use the Philips Sonicare.
- The Philips Sonicare toothbrush complies with the safety
standards for electromagnetic devices. If you have a pacemaker or
other implanted device, contact your physician or the device
manufacturer of the implanted device prior to use.
- If you have medical concerns, consult your doctor before you use
the Philips Sonicare.
- This appliance has only been designed for cleaning teeth, gums
and tongue. Do not use it for any other purpose. Stop using the
appliance and contact your doctor if you experience any
discomfort or pain.
- The Philips Sonicare toothbrush is a personal care device and is
not intended for use on multiple patients in a dental practice or
institution.
- Stop using a brush head with crushed or bent bristles. Replace the
brush head every 3 months or sooner if signs of wear appear. Do
not use other brush heads than the ones recommended by the
manufacturer.

- If your toothpaste contains peroxide, baking soda or bicarbonate
(common in whitening toothpastes), thoroughly clean the brush
head with soap and water after each use. This prevents possible
cracking of the plastic.
Electromagnetic fields (EMF)
This Philips appliance complies with all applicable standards and
regulations regarding exposure to electromagnetic fields.

Charging
Charge the AirFloss Ultra for 24 hours before first use.
1 Put the plug of the charger in the electrical outlet.
2 Place the handle on the charger (Fig. 2).
Charging process: (Fig. 3)
- 1 green LED: 33% charged.
- 2 green LEDs: 66% charged.
- 3 green LEDs: 100% charged.

Note: When it is fully charged, AirFloss Ultra has an operating time of
up to 11 days when it is used in triple burst mode, and up to 33 days
when it is used in single burst mode.
Note: When the charge indicators flash yellow, the battery is low and
needs to be recharged (fewer than 3 uses left).
Preparing for use
1Align the nozzle and press the nozzle down onto the handle
(‘click’) (Fig. 4).
Note: We advise you to place the tip facing the front of the handle
as the illustration shows, but the nozzle can be placed in the
handle either way without affecting the function. You can try both
options and use what works best for you in your oral care routine.
Note: Replace the nozzle (HX8032, HX8033) every 6 months for
optimal results. Also replace the nozzle if it becomes loose or no
longer ‘clicks’ onto the handle.
Note: The AirFloss Ultra only supports AirFloss Ultra nozzles. Do
not attempt to use non-AirFloss Ultra nozzles on the AirFloss Ultra
handle.
2Open the cover of the reservoir (‘click’) (Fig. 5).
3Fill the reservoir with mouthwash or water. (Fig. 6)
Tip: For the best result and a fresher experience, we advise you to
use mouthwash with your AirFloss Ultra.
Note: Do not use mouthwash that contains isopropyl myristate
(e.g. Dentyl Active) or high concentrations of essential oils, as it
may damage the appliance. This includes all mouthwash sold in
glass and ceramic packaging.
4Close the cover of the reservoir by pressing (‘click’) (Fig. 7).
5Press the power/mode button to switch on the appliance. (Fig. 8)
The LEDs illuminate.
6Press and hold the activation button until spray comes out of the
tip of the nozzle. (Fig. 9)

Using the appliance
1Make sure the AirFloss Ultra is switched on. If it is off, press and
release the power/mode button to switch on the appliance. (Fig.
8)
You can change the modes to have the desired amounts of bursts
each time you press the activation button (Fig. 9). For optimal
results, use the triple burst mode (the default setting) from both
the outside and inside of your teeth.
To change modes, press the power/mode button to cycle through
the modes until you reach your desired mode. The LEDs show the
selected mode:
- Single burst: 1 LED (Fig. 10)
- Double burst: 2 LEDs (Fig. 11)
- Triple burst: 3 LEDs (Fig. 12)
Note: The AirFloss Ultra remembers what mode was selected last
and it is ready for the next use. If your AirFloss Ultra becomes fully
drained of power, it will go back to the triple burst default mode
once it has been recharged.
2Place the nozzle tip between two teeth at your gum line. Slightly
close your lips over the nozzle when it is in place, to avoid
splashing. (Fig. 13)
3Press the activation button to deliver 1-3 bursts (depending on the
selected mode) of air and micro-droplets of mouthwash or water
between the teeth. (Fig. 14)
4Slide the nozzle tip along the gum line until you feel it settle
between the next two teeth.
5Continue this procedure for all spaces between your teeth,
including behind your back teeth. (Fig. 15)
Note: Refill the reservoir as needed.
Auto-burst function
Hold the activation button to deliver bursts continuously,
approximately one second between set of bursts.

Automatic shut-off function
The AirFloss automatically turns off if it has not been used for one
minute.
Cleaning
If the AirFloss Ultra becomes clogged, or to clean the inside of the
AirFloss, fill the reservoir with warm water and press the activation
button until the reservoir is empty.
Do not clean the nozzle, handle or charger in the dishwasher.
Do not use cleaning agents to clean the appliance. The formulation
or strength of some agents may damage the appliance.
Handle and nozzle
1Remove the AirFloss Ultra nozzle from the handle. Rinse the
nozzle after each use to eliminate the residue left in it. (Fig. 16)
2Open the reservoir and rinse it under a faucet to eliminate residue.
(Fig. 17)
Tip: You can also use a cotton swab to wipe the reservoir and
remove the remaining residue.
Note: Do not immerse the handle in water.
Note: Failure to remove residue from the nozzle or reservoir may
result in an unhygienic condition.
3Wipe the entire surface of the handle with a damp cloth. (Fig. 18)
Charger
1Unplug the charger before you clean it.
2Wipe the surface of the charger with a damp cloth.
Storage
If you are not going to use AirFloss Ultra for an extended period of
time, follow the steps below.
1Open the cover of the reservoir and empty it.
2Press the activation button until no more spray comes out of the
nozzle.
3Unplug the charger.

4Clean AirFloss Ultra nozzle, handle and charger. Refer to chapter
‘Cleaning’.
5Store AirFloss Ultra in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Recycling
- Do not throw away the product with the normal household waste
at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for
recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment.
- This product contains a built-in rechargeable battery which shall
not be disposed of with normal household waste. We strongly
advise you to take your product to an official collection point or a
Philips service centre to have a professional remove the
rechargeable battery.
- Follow your country’s rules for the separate collection of electrical
and electronic products and rechargeable batteries. Correct
disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the
environment and human health.
Please note that this process is not reversible.
1To deplete the battery, repeatedly press the activation button until
the AirFloss no longer produces any bursts of air. (Fig. 20)
2Remove the AirFloss nozzle from the handle. (Fig. 21)
3Firmly grab the handle with one hand at the top and one hand on
the bottom. (Fig. 22)
4Snap the handle into two parts. (Fig. 23)
Note: This step requires a good amount of physical force. The top
and bottom half of the handle should be separated once you snap
the handle.
5Remove the bottom half of the handle. (Fig. 24)
6Cut all 6 wires on the internal component with scissors. (Fig. 25)
7Completely pull apart the internal component from the top part of
the handle. (Fig. 26)
8The battery is located inside the top half of the handle. Remove
the battery and dispose of it properly (not in household waste).

Bahaya

terus terjadi setelah 1 minggu penggunaan. Juga konsultasikan
pada dokter gigi jika Anda merasa tidak nyaman atau mengalami
rasa sakit saat menggunakan Philips Sonicare.
- Sikat gigi Philips Sonicare memenuhi standar keselamatan untuk
perangkat elektromagnetik. Bila Anda menggunakan alat pacu
jantung atau perangkat implan lainnya, hubungi dokter atau
produsen perangkat sebelum penggunaan.
- Jika Anda memiliki masalah kesehatan, konsultasikan dengan
dokter Anda sebelum menggunakan Philips Sonicare.
- Alat ini dirancang hanya untuk membersihkan gigi, gusi dan lidah.
Jangan gunakan alat untuk tujuan lain. Hentikan penggunaan alat

- Sikat gigi Philips Sonicare adalah perangkat perawatan pribadi dan

Catatan: Ketika sudah terisi penuh, AirFloss Ultra memiliki waktu

Catatan: Saat indikator daya berkedip kuning, daya baterai lemah dan
perlu diisi ulang (kurang dari 3 kali pemakaian lagi).
Menyiapkan penggunaan
1Sejajarkan dan tekan nozel ke bawah gagang ('klik') (Gbr. 4).
Catatan: Sebaiknya letakkan ujung menghadap ke depan gagang
seperti yang ditunjukkan pada ilustrasi, tetapi nozel dapat
diletakkan pada gagang dengan arah sebaliknya tanpa
memengaruhi fungsinya. Anda dapat mencoba kedua pilihan dan
menggunakan pilihan yang paling cocok untuk rutinitas perawatan

Menggunakan alat
1Pastikan AirFloss Ultra sudah dinyalakan. Jika masih dalam
keadaan mati, tekan kemudian lepaskan tombol daya/mode untuk
menghidupkan alat. (Gbr. 8)
Anda dapat mengubah mode untuk mendapatkan jumlah
semprotan yang diinginkan setiap kali menekan tombol (Gbr. 9)
aktivasi. Untuk hasil yang optimal, gunakan mode tiga kali
semprotan (setelan default) dari sisi luar dan dalam gigi Anda.
Untuk mengubah mode, tekan tombol daya/mode untuk mencari
mode yang Anda inginkan. Lampu LED menandakan mode yang
dipilih:
- Semprotan tunggal: 1 LED (Gbr. 10)
- Semprotan ganda: 2 LED (Gbr. 11)
- Tiga kali semprotan: 3 LED (Gbr. 12)
Catatan: AirFloss Ultra mengingat mode yang digunakan terakhir
kali dan siap untuk penggunaan selanjutnya. Jika AirFloss Ultra
Anda kehabisan daya, alat tersebut akan kembali ke mode default
tiga kali semprotan setelah daya diisi ulang.
2Letakkan ujung nozel di antara dua gigi pada garis gusi Anda.
Katupkan bibir Anda sedikit pada nozel saat digunakan untuk

3Tekan tombol aktivasi untuk memberikan 1-3 kali semprotan
(bergantung pada mode yang dipilih) udara dan percikan kecil
obat pencuci mulut atau air di antara gigi. (Gbr. 14)
4Geser ujung nozel sepanjang garis gusi hingga Anda merasa ujung
nozel berada di antara dua gigi berikutnya.

Fungsi mati otomatis
AirFloss akan mati secara otomatis jika tidak digunakan dalam satu

Membersihkan
Jika AirFloss Ultra tersumbat atau untuk membersihkan bagian dalam
dari AirFloss, isi penampung air dengan air hangat dan tekan tombol
aktivasi sampai penampung air kosong.
Jangan membersihkan nozel, gagang atau pengisi daya di dalam
alat pencuci piring.
Jangan menggunakan bahan pembersih untuk membersihkan alat.
Formulasi atau kekuatan dari beberapa zat pembersih dapat
merusak alat ini.
Gagang dan nozel
1Lepaskan nozel AirFloss Ultra dari gagang. Bilas nozel setiap kali
selesai menggunakan untuk menghilangkan residu yang tertinggal
di dalam. (Gbr. 16)
2Buka penampung air dan bilas di bawah aliran air keran untuk
menghilangkan residu. (Gbr. 17)
Tip: Anda juga dapat menggunakan kapas untuk menyeka
penampung air dan membuang sisa residu yang ada.
Catatan: Jangan mencelupkan gagang ke dalam air.
Catatan: Residu pada nozel atau penampung air yang tidak
dibersihkan dapat menyebabkan kondisi yang tidak higienis.
3Seka semua permukaan gagang dengan kain (Gbr. 18) lembap.

Penyimpanan
Jika Anda tidak akan menggunakan AirFloss Ultra untuk jangka waktu

2Tekan tombol aktivasi sampai tidak ada lagi semprotan keluar dari
nozel.
3Cabut pengisi daya.
4Bersihkan nozel, gagang, dan pengisi daya AirFloss Ultra. Lihat bab

5Simpan AirFloss Ultra di tempat yang sejuk dan kering, jauh dari
sinar matahari langsung.
Mendaur ulang
- Jangan membuang produk bersama limbah rumah tangga biasa
jika sudah tidak bisa dipakai lagi, tetapi serahkan ke tempat
pengumpulan barang bekas yang resmi untuk didaur ulang.
Dengan melakukan ini, Anda turut membantu melestarikan
lingkungan.
- Produk ini berisi baterai isi ulang internal yang tidak boleh dibuang
bersama dengan sampah rumah tangga biasa. Kami sangat
menganjurkan agar Anda membawa produk ke lokasi
pengumpulan resmi atau ke pusat servis Philips untuk melepas
baterai isi ulang oleh teknisi profesional.
- Patuhi peraturan di negara Anda untuk pengumpulan terpisah
untuk produk listrik dan elektronik serta baterai isi-ulang.
Pembuangan secara benar akan membantu mencegah dampak
negatif terhadap lingkungan dan kesehatan manusia.
