Führen Sie die folgenden Arbeitsschritte durch, um die Hardware zu verdrahten.
1.1. Verbinden Sie den 24V-Ausgang der
QUINT POWER Stromversorgung
mit dem 24V-Eingang der UPS.
1.2. Verdrahten Sie den
I>IN-Signalkontakt.
1.3. Verbinden Sie die Last mit dem
Ausgang der UPS.
1.4. Verbinden Sie die Batteriekabel. Die
Kabelquerschnitte entnehmen Sie
bitte der jeweiligen Packungsbeilage.
1.5. Stecken Sie die beiliegende
Batteriesicherung. Mit Anschluss
der Versorgungsspannung ist die
Hardware jetzt voll funktionsfähig.
(Bei längerer Lagerung der Batterie sollte
die Sicherung entfernt werden.)
Geräteinformation
Hier finden Sie den Gerätetyp
der UPS. Optional können Sie
unter "Einstellungen/Advanced/
Einsatzort" Text einfügen.

Aktionsbereich
Der Inhalt ist abhängig von der Navigation.
Beispielhaft ist die Übersicht des Systems
abgebildet. Module, Spannungen und Signale
werden erkannt und aktuell dargestellt.
Intelligent Battery Management
Hinweis: Volle Funktionsfähigkeit besteht erst
nach vollständiger Aufladung der Batterie.
SOC (State Of Charge) – aktueller Lade-
zustand und Restlaufzeit des Energiespeichers
SOH (State Of Health) – verbleibende
Lebenserwartung des Energiespeichers,
warnt frühzeitig vor einem Ausfall
SOF (State Of Function) – ermittelt
die gegenwärtige Leistungsfähigkeit des
Energiespeichers

Hier finden Sie Grundeinstellungen und Informationen zum Hersteller.
Statusleiste
Der aktuelle Status aller Komponenten
erlaubt einen schnellen Überblick.
2.1. Wählen Sie „Nein, diesmal nicht“ und klicken
Sie auf „Weiter“.
2.2. Wählen Sie „Software automatisch
installieren“ und klicken Sie auf „Weiter“.
Folgende Softwareeinstellungen
können Sie vornehmen:
• Einstellung der Sprache,
Änderungen werden nach einem
Neustart der Software wirksam
(deutsch, englisch)
• Temperatureinheit wählen
(Celsius, Kelvin, Fahrenheit)
• Kommunikations-Anschluss
für das Datenkabel
IFS-USB-DATACABLE prüfen
und ggf. ändern (COM x)
• erweiterte Ansichten aktiv: Im
Menü erscheinen umfangreiche
Angaben zur USV und zum
Energiespeicher
2.3. Nach erfolgreicher Installation bestätigen Sie
mit „Fertig stellen“.
1 Verzögerungszeit
Die Verzögerungszeit errechnet sich automatisch
aus der aktuellen Restlaufzeit der Batterie abzüg-
lich der Zeit, die der PC / IPC zum Herunterfahren
benötigt. Alternativ kann auch eine feste Verzöge-
rungszeit gewählt werden.
2 Programm-Start
Nach Ablauf der Verzögerungszeit besteht die
Möglichkeit, ein Programm zu starten.
Beispiel: Eine Software startet, die die Daten einer
Anlage sukzessive sichert.
In der Einstellung "PC-Mode" am Drehwahlschalter
der UPS folgt die UPS-Funktionalität einer zeit-
lichen Abfolge, die via Software parametierbar ist
und damit individuell für die jeweilige Anwendung
optimiert wird.

3 PC-Herunterfahren
Hier wird die Zeit eingestellt, die der PC / IPC
zum Herunterfahren benötigt.
4 PC-Leerlaufzeit
Nur wenn der PC / IPC heruntergefahren wird
und während dessen das Netz wiederkehrt, wird
die Ausgangsspannung für die Resetzeit unter-
brochen und der PC / IPC danach automatisch
gestartet.
Nachdem Sie den Download unter
www.phoenixcontact.net/catalog durchgeführt
haben, öffnen Sie die Installationsdatei per
Doppelklick und folgen den Anweisungen.
Installation unter Windows XP:
Sobald sich der Assistent zum Installieren
der Treiber öffnet, gehen Sie wie folgt vor

1.6. Soll die Software UPS-CONF zum
Einsatz kommen, schließen Sie das
IFS-USB-DATACABLE an.
Voraussetzung:
• Datenkabel IFS-USB-DATACABLE
(Artikel-Nr. 2320500) ist installiert
• Software UPS-CONF (Artikel-Nr. 2320403)
ist installiert, kostenloser Download über
den E-Shop
• Signalkabel zum Datenaustausch zwischen
USV und Energiespeicher ist installiert

Quick start guide for QUINT UPS-IQ uninterruptible power supply
and UPS-CONF configuration and management software
1 Hardware installation
Complete the following work steps to wire the hardware.
1.1. Connect the 24V output of the
QUINT POWER power supply unit
to the 24V UPS input.
1.2. Wire the I>INsignal contact. 1.3. Connect the load to the UPS output. 1.4. Connect the battery cable. Check
the cable cross section in the
respective package slip.
1.5. Plug in the enclosed fuse. After
connecting the mains the hardware
is now fully functional.
(The fuse should be removed if storing
thebattery for a long time).
1.6. If the UPS-CONF software is
to be used, connect the
IFS-USB-DATACABLE.

After you have completed the download from
www.phoenixcontact.net/catalog, open the
installation file by double-clicking and following
the instructions.
2 Software installation
2.1. Select "No, not this time" and click "Next". 2.2. Choose "Install software automatically"
and then click "Next".
2.3. Following successful installation,
confirm with "Done".
Installation on Windows XP:
As soon as the driver installation wizard
opens, please proceed as follows
Action area
The content depends on the navigation.
The system overview is mapped as an
example. Modules, voltages and signals are
identified and currently displayed.
Intelligent battery management
Note: fully functional only once the battery
isfully charged.
SOC (State Of Charge) – current charging
state and remaining back-up time of the
battery unit.
SOH (State Of Health) – remaining life
expectancy of the battery unit; provides early
warning for a potential battery unit failure.
SOF (State Of Function) – determines the
current performance of the battery unit.
System menu
Here you find information on basic settings and manufacturer information.
Status bar
The current status of all components
provides a quick overview.
You can adjust the following
software settings:
• Language setting, changes take
place once the software is
restarted (German, English)
• Select temperature unit
(Celsius, Kelvin, Fahrenheit)
• Check the communication port
for the IFS-USB-DATACABLE
data cable and change if
necessary (COM x)
• Advanced views active: extensive
information about the UPS and
the battery unit appear in the
menu
Device information
Here you find the UPS device
type. Optionally, you
can insert text under
"Settings/Advanced/Place of
Installation".

4 PC mode: Time settings for shutting down the PC/IPC
1 Shutdown delay
Delay time is calculated automatically from
the current remaining battery life minus the
time required by the PC / IPC to shut-down.
Alternatively, a fixed delay time may be chosen.
2 Program startup
After the delay time has expired it is possible to
start a program. Example: a software starts that
gradually backs up system data.
In the "PC Mode" setting on the UPS
potentiometer, the UPS functionality follows a
chronological sequence that can be parameterized
via software, and is thus individually customized to
the respective application.

3 PC shutdown
The time required by the PC/IPC to shut down
isset here.
4 PC restart delay
Only if the PC/IPC is shut down, and the mains
has returned in the meantime, the output voltage
will be interrupted for the reset time. The
PC/IPC is then automatically restarted.
Requirements:
• Data cable IFS-USB-DATACABLE
(Order No. 2320500) is installed
• Software UPS-CONF (Order No. 2320403)
isinstalled, a free download from the E-shop
• Signal cable for data exchange between UPS
andbattery unit is installed
