Operation of the Scanner
The scanner is operated by the PhoXi Control application. PhoXi Control allows the user to
control the scanner either manually through a graphical user interface or programmatically
through the provided API.

Mounting the Scanner
Mounting options:
■Use 4x M4 screws with the supplied mounting plate.
■Use a M8 screw.
■Use a 3/8 - 16 UNC screw with a tripod.
Installation site restrictions:
■Ensure that mounting construction is rigid enough to avoid vibrations during scanning.
■Allow clearance of 25 mm for natural convection cooling.
■The ambient temperature range for the scanner operation is 0 °C to 30 °C.
■Separate the scanner from high-voltage devices and devices generating high electrical
noise.

Made-to-Order Cables
The following cables are available for additional purchase in standard or industrial quality:
■Power cable (from power adapter to device)
■Ethernet cable
All cables are available in the following lengths:
■3 m, 5 m, 10 m, 15 m.
Our industrial ethernet cables are sheathed in polyurethane jackets for high flexibility,
durability, and resistance to chemicals, water, and UV.
Our industrial power cables are sheathed in flex polyvinyl chloride jackets for high flexibility
and resistance to oils, water, and UV.
Custom Cables
■In case custom cables are used, the voltage must reach 12 V at the device end.
■Longer custom cables should have wires of a larger diameter to compensate for
voltage losses.
■When using custom cables, any damage caused to the device due to incorrect voltage
is exempt from warranty.
■Powering the device through the ethernet connector (PoE) is not possible.

Safety
PhoXi 3D Scanner Model XS is a laser class 3R device. Class 3R lasers are considered safe
when handled carefully.
Laser class 3R label
WARNING
Do not deliberately look into the laser beam. This may cause injury
to the retina.
Laser protective eyewear is normally not necessary.
