Please Note: Strato Multi receivers are designed
to work in Manual Exposure mode and have no TTL
functions.
Only use ashes designed for Digital SLR cameras (6V)
on the Strato Multi transmitter hot shoe when on the
camera.
Tip: Turn o all devices – ashes/strobes, cameras, and
Phottix Strato Multi transmitters and receivers - when
connecting and disconnecting devices.
Keep in mind: The Strato Multi will trigger Strato
4-in-1 wireless triggers. When shooting in public bear
in mind other photographers using the same products.
Inserting batteries
1. Press the battery cover in while pushing it away from
the Strato Multi transmitter or receiver. The battery cover
will snap open and slide open.
2. Remove the battery cover from the Strato Multi.
3. Insert AAA batteries.
4. Replace the battery cover and push back into the
locked position.
Turning transmitter and receiver on/
o
1. To turn on the Phottix Strato Multi transmitter or
receiver– move the power switch to the“ON”position.
2. To turn o the Phottix Strato Multi transmitter or
receiver - move the power switch to the “OFF”position.
Test Button
1. The Test Button will test re ashes/strobes.
2. To Test: Press the transmitter Test Button. Flashes
connected to Phottix Strato Multi receivers on the
same channel and selected groups will re when the
transmitter test button is pressed.
3.Pressing the receiver Test Button will test re ashes or
strobes connected to that receiver.

Status LED
1. The Status LED on the Phottix Strato Multi transmitter
will turn solid green upon a half-press of the shutter
button (on camera or the Strato Multi transmitter being
used as a wireless shutter release) and turn red when
sending a signal or taking a photo.
2. The Status LED on the Phottix Strato Multi receiver will
ash green while the power is on and idle. The LED will
turn red when a signal is received from the transmitter
and the ash or camera is red.
Groups and Channels
1. The Phottix Strato Multi System has 4 groups: A, B, C,
and D. Each group contains 4 channels: 1, 2, 3, 4.
2. Receivers can be assigned both group and channel
designations.
3. The transmitter will re groups A, B, C or D, or any
combination on the same channel: 1, 2, 3 or 4. Any
ashes or strobes connected to Strato Multi receivers
set to the same group(s) and channel as the transceiver
will re.
Compatibility with Phottix Strato 4-in-
1 Wireless Triggers
Phottix Strato Multi System is compatible with the
Phottix Strato 4-in-1 Wireless receivers.
1. Phottix Strato 4-in-1 receivers can be triggered on
channels 1 to 4. They cannot be assigned groups and will
re if the Strato Multi transmitter is set to groups A, B,
C or D.
2. The Phottix Strato 4-in-1 transmitter cannot trigger
Phottix Strato Multi receivers.
Setting Groups on the transmitter
1. The Phottix Strato Multi System has 4 groups: A, B, C,
and D.
2. Pressing the Group Selection Buttons on the
transmitter allow you to select with groups will be
triggered. Selected groups on the transmitter will trigger
receivers assigned that group and channel.
3.The Group Selection Button will turn red when pressed
and selected.
4. The red light will go o when pressed and deselected.

Active group settings will be remembered when the
transmitter is turned o and turned back on.
Setting Channels on the transmitter
1. The Phottix Strato Multi transmitter has 4 transmission
channels.
2. Move the Channel Selector Switch to 1, 2, 3, or 4 to
select a channel.
3. Make sure Phottix Strato Multi transmitters and
receivers are set to the same channel.
Setting Groups on the receiver
1. The Phottix Strato Multi receiver has four group
settings.
2. Move the Group Selection Switch to A, B, C or D to
select a group for each receiver.
Setting Channels on the receiver
1. The Phottix Strato Multi receiver has 4 transmission
channels.
2. Move the Channel Selector Switch to 1, 2, 3, or 4 to
select a channel.
3. Make sure Phottix Strato Multi transmitters and
receivers are set to the same channel.
Connecting to the camera hot shoe
1. Turn o the camera.
2. Slide the Strato Multi transmitter into the camera’s hot
shoe mount.
3. Turn the Strato Multi locking ring until tight.
4. Turn on the Strato Multi transmitter.
5. Turn on the camera and set the shooting mode.
Connecting to the camera sync port by
3.5mm Sync cable (included)
The Strato Multi Transmitter can also be attached to a
camera’s PC Sync port if you do not wish to use the hot
shoe.
1. Turn o the camera.
2. Connect a cable to Strato Multi transmitter 3.5mm
port.
3. Connect the opposite end of the cable to the camera’s
PC Sync Port.
4. Turn on the Strato Multi transmitter.
5. Turn on the camera and set the shooting mode.

Connecting a ash to the Strato Multi
transmitter or receiver hot shoe
1. Turn o the ash and the Phottix Strato Multi
Transmitter or Receiver.
2. Slide the ash into the transmitter’s or receiver’s hot
shoe mount.
3. Lock the ash with the ash’s locking mechanism.
4. Turn on the ash and the Phottix Strato Multi receiver.
5. Set the ash to Manual mode (receiver only – no TTL
data is transmitted).
* It is not unusual for the ash to discharge once after
turning on the Phottix Strato Multi.
Connecting the Strato Multi receiver
by cable
1. Turn o the ash/strobe and the Phottix Strato Multi
receiver.
2. Connect a cable to the receiver’s 3.5 mm PC Sync Port.
3. Connect the opposite end of the cable to a ash or
studio strobe (A 6.3 mm adapter is included for studio
strobes with larger ports).
4. Turn on the ash/strobe and the Phottix Strato Multi
receiver. Set the ash to Manual mode.
* It is not unusual for the ash to discharge once after
turning on the Phottix Strato Multi.
Using the Strato Multi as a wireless
shutter release*
1. Turn o the camera and the Phottix Strato Multi
receiver.
2. Attach the correct Phottix Accessory Cable for your
camera make and model to the 2.5 mm Accessory Port
on the Strato Multi receiver.
3. Attach the other end of the cable to the camera’s
remote port.
4. Turn on the camera and Phottix Strato Multi receiver.
Consult your camera manual for specic settings for
remote use.
5. Using the Phottix Strato Multi transmitter will allow

Using the Strato Multi as a wired
shutter release*
1. Turn o the camera and the Phottix Strato Multi
receiver.
2. Attach the correct Phottix Accessory Cable for your
camera make and model to the 2.5 mm Accessory Port
on the Strato Multi receiver
3. Attach the other end of the cable to the camera’s
remote port.
4. Turn on the camera and Phottix Strato Multi receiver**.
5. Consult your camera manual for specic settings for
remote use.
6. The Phottix Strato Multi receiver will function as a
wired shutter release functions. The shutter button
functions the same as a camera shutter button: A half-
press of the test/shutter button will autofocus, a full
press will take a photo.
*On compatible cameras
**Wired Shutter Release function can be used without
turning on the Strato Multi receiver, and will function
without batteries in the receiver.
Warnings
This product is a precise electronic instrument. Do not
expose to damp environments or dust.
Do not drop or crush.
Do not use harsh chemical(s) or solvents to clean the
body. Use a soft cloth or lens paper.
Interference: The Phottix Strato Multi transmits and
receives radio signals at 2.4 GHz. Its performance can
be aected by electrical current, magnetic elds, radio
signals, wireless routers, cellular phones, and other
electronic devices. Environmental objects, such as large
buildings or walls, trees, fences, or cars can also aect
performance. If your Strato Multi receiver will not trigger
move its location slightly.

Bitte beachten: Strato Multi Empfänger
unterstützen nur manuelle Einstellungen für die
Auslösung. TTL Funktionen werden nicht übertragen.
Blitzgeräte, die direkt am Sender (Transmitter) auf der
Kamera benutzt werden, dürfen max. 6V Spannung
haben.
Hinweis: Kamera, Blitzgeräte und Phottix Strato
Multi müssen während des Anschlusses ausgeschaltet
sein.
Hinweis: Der Phottix Strato Multi kann den Phottix
Strato 4in1 auslösen. Wenn andere Fotografen in der
Frequenzreichweite einen Phottix Strato 4in1 benutzen,
werden Sie diese Geräte mit auslösen.
Batterien einsetzen
1. Drücken und schieben Sie den Batteriefachdeckel
vom Transmitter/Receiver weg, um das Batteriefach zu
önen.
2. Entfernen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel.
3. Setzen Sie die Micro/AAA Batterien/Akkus ein (auf
korrekte Polarität achten).
4. Verschließen Sie das Batteriefach mit dem
Batteriefachdeckel bis er einrastet.
Transmitter und Receiver An-/
Ausschalten
1. Zum Einschalten der Geräte schieben Sie den
Powerschalter in die ON-Position.
2. Zum Ausschalten der Geräte schieben Sie den
Powerschalter in die OFF-Position.
Testtaste
1. Die Testtaste löst angeschlossene Blitzgeräte zum
Testen aus, dazu muss keine Kamera angeschlossen
sein.
2. Test Variante 1: Drücken Sie die Testtaste am
Transmitter - Blitzgeräte, die am Phottix Strato Multi
Receiver angeschlossen sind und den selben Kanal und
die selbe Gruppe eingestellt haben, werden ausgelöst
3. Test Variante 2: Drücken Sie die Testtaste am Receiver
- Blitzgeräte, die am Receiver angeschlossen sind,
werden ausgelöst.

Hinweise für die Kameraauslösung nden Sie weiter
unten.
Status LED
1. Die Status LED des Transmitters leuchtet grün,
wenn die Auslösetaste halbgedrückt wird. Wird die
Auslösetaste durchgedrückt leuchtet die Status LED rot
und es ndet eine Auslösung statt.
2. Die Status LED des Receivers blinkt grün wenn der
Receiver eingeschaltet ist. Die LED leuchtet rot, wenn
der Receiver ein Signal vom Transmitter empfängt.
Gruppen und Kanäle
1. Das Phottix Strato Multi System hat 4 Kanäle: A, B, C
und D. Jede Gruppe hat 4 Kanäle: 1, 2, 3 und 4.
2. Strato Multi Receiver können Gruppen und Kanälen
zugeordnet werden.
3. Der Strato Multi Transmitter kann die Gruppen A, B,
C, D oder Kombinationen mit dem selben Kanal 1, 2, 3.
4 auslösen. Alle Blitzgeräte, die sich auf einem Receiver
und in der selben Gruppe/Kanal benden werden
ausgelöst.
Kompatibilität mit dem Phottix Strato
4in1
Das Phottix Strato Multi System ist kompatibel mit den
Phottix Strato 4in1 Receivern.
1. Phottix Strato 4in1 Receiver können mit dem Strato
Multi Transmitter ausgelöst werden, wenn sie auf dem
selben Kanal eingestellt sind. Da der Strato 4in1 keine
Gruppeneinstellung hat, wird der Receiver bei jeder
Gruppe ausgelöst.
2. Phottix Strato 4in1 Transmitter können die Phottix
Strato Multi Receiver nicht auslösen.
Gruppen einstellen am Transmitter
1. Das Phottix Strato Multi System hat 4 Gruppen: A, B,
C, und D.
2. Durch drücken der Gruppen-Auswahltaste werden
alle aktiven Gruppen ausgelöst.
3. Die Gruppen-Auswahltaste leuchtet rot, wenn sie
gedrückt und aktiviert wird.

Kanäle einstellen am Transmitter
1. Der Phottix Strato Multi Transmitter hat 4
Übertragungs-Kanäle.
2. Schieben Sie den Kanalwähler auf den gewünschten
Kanal.
3. Überprüfen Sie, ob sich der Transmitter und der
Receiver im selben Kanal benden.
Gruppen einstellen am Receiver
1. Der Phottix Strato Multi Receiver hat 4 Gruppen: A,
B, C, und D.
2. Schieben Sie den Gruppenwähler des Receivers auf
die gewünschte Gruppe.
Kanäle einstellen am Receiver
1. Der Phottix Strato Multi Receiver hat 4 Übertragungs-
Kanäle.
2. Schieben Sie den Kanalwähler auf den gewünschten
Kanal.
3. Überprüfen Sie, ob sich der Transmitter und der
Receiver im selben Kanal benden.
Verbindung: Transmitter mit Kamera
1. Kamera und Transmitter ausschalten.
2. Schieben Sie den Transmitter in den Blitzschuh der
Kamera.
3. Ziehen Sie das Feststellrad fest.
4. Schalten Sie nun den Transmitter an.
5. Schalten Sie die Kamera ein und wechseln Sie ggf.
den Modus (siehe Kamerahandbuch).
Verbindung: Kamera Sync mit
Transmitter per Sync-Kable 3,5mm
(enthalten)
Wenn Sie den Transmitter nicht mit dem Blitzschuh der
Kamera verbinden möchten, können Sie die Verbindung
auch mittels des 3,5mm PC Sync-Kabel durchführen.
1. Kamera und Transmitter ausschalten.
2. Stecken Sie das Kabel in den Transmitter.
3. Stecken Sie das andere Ende des Kabels in den PC
Sync-Port der Kamera.
4. Schalten Sie nun den Transmitter an.
5. Schalten Sie die Kamera ein und wechseln Sie ggf.
den Modus (siehe Kamerahandbuch).

Blitzgerät auf Transmitter/Receiver
montieren
1. Schalten Sie das Blitzgerät und den Phottix Strato
Multi Transmitter/Receiver aus.
2. Schieben Sie das Blitzgerät auf den Blitzschuh des
Transmitters/Receivers.
3. Fixieren Sie den Blitz mit dem eventuell vorhandenen
Locksystem.
4. Schalten Sie das Blitzgerät und den Phottix Strato
Multi Transmitter/Receiver ein.
5. Wählen Sie im Menü des Blitzgerätes den manuellen
Modus (Receiver überträgt keine TTL-Daten).
* Hinweis: Beim Einschalten des Phottix Strato Multi
kann es zu einer Blitzauslösung kommen.
Receiver per Kabel verbinden (z.B.
Studioblitz)
1. Schalten Sie das Blitzgerät und den Phottix Strato
Multi Transmitter/Receiver aus.
2. Stecken Sie den Stecker des Kabels in den 3,5mm PC
Sync Port des Receivers.
3. Stecken Sie den Stecker am anderen Ende des Kabels
in den 3,5mm PC Sync Port des Blitzgerätes. (6,3mm
Adapter für Studioblitze mit einem 6,3mm Port ist im
Lieferumfang enthalten)
4. Schalten Sie das Blitzgerät und den Phottix Strato
Multi Receiver ein.
5. Wählen Sie im Menü des Blitzgerätes den manuellen
Modus.
* Hinweis: Beim Einschalten des Phottix Strato Multi
kann es zu einer Blitzauslösung kommen.
Strato Multi als Kamera-Funkauslöser
nutzen*
1. Schalten Sie die Kamera und den Phottix Strato Multi
Receiver aus.
2. Verbinden Sie das richtige Phottix Zubehör Kabel für
Ihre Kamera mit dem 2,5mm Zubehör-Anschluss des
Phottix Strato Multi Receivers. Das andere Ende des
Kabels an den Remoteeingang der Kamera anschließen.
3. Schalten Sie die Kamera und den Phottix Strato Multi
Receiver ein.
4. Lesen Sie das Handbuch der Kamera für eventuelle
Einstellungen für die Fernauslösung.
*nur für kompatible Kameramodelle
