ASSEMBLING THE HANDLE AND SHAFT
Note: e three sha sections (C1,C2 & C3) are dierent.
e handle section (C1) with its plastic locating lug at its base should be inserted into
the top of the sha middle section
(C2). e locating lugs on the bottom of the handle section
(C1) will click into position.
Next locate this joined section of the sha into the top of the bottom section (C3)
in the same way as previously described.
e assembled sha should then be inserted into the main unit as shown in the two
photographs below.
Note: If the handle does not go right into its location, it is the wrong way round, please
do not force.

NOTE:
When inserting the Bottom Handle Sha C3 in the main unit slide the sha
down to locate the plastic lug (1) in the hole (2).
To remove press on the lug
(1) at the same time pulling the sha upwards. Do NOT press on the cord cleat (3)
as it may break.

1.FILLING THE WATER TANK (B)
Caution: Do not overll. Max water capacity 450ml. e Water Tank (B) can be lled at
anytime aer the pressure and temperature has been release suciently.
• Remove the Filler Cap (H) by turning anti-clockwise.
• Fill the Water Tank with so or distilled water. e Home-tek Water Soener Bottle
is designed and recommended for this purpose. However, any clean jug can be used
to ll the Water Tank
- but please NOTE - only soened or distilled water must be used in this product.
Aer lling replace the Filler Cap by turning it clockwise.
• Your Steam mop has a built in safety feature which ensures that if the unit is le
without water and the tank boils dry then the unit will automatically cut o the
power to the heater. If this occurs then before the product can be used again it has to
be le for approximately 10 minutes to cool down aer which the Reset Button (L )
can be pressed and the unit will reset.
• e Steam mop has a safety Filler Cap (H ) which can only be released when there
is no pressure in the boiler. e Filler Cap can only be unscrewed aer the unit has
cooled down and there is no pressure in the boiler.
3.POWER CABLE
Before using the appliance, completely release the full length of the power cable.
CAUTION: Do not leave the appliance in one area when hot as this may damage the
oor surface.
4. RED POWER ON / OFF INDICATOR LIGHT (D) / GREEN WATER TANK
ALERT LIGHT (E)
When the handle sha is placed securely and the tank lled with water, plug
the appliance into a mains electricity supply, at this point the Red Indicator Light (D )
will illuminate.
When you are ready to start cleaning press the Foot Switch (F) this activates the heater.
At this point the green
indicator light (E ) will illuminate. e Green Water Tank Alert Light (E) will go out if
the Water Tank needs re-lling.
IMPORTANT: Never use more than 5 pounds force on the foot switch. Excessive force
willdamage the switch.
CAUTION: Always turn o all the switches when relling with water and always
unplug the
product aer use.
5. REFILLING THE STEAM MOP
Always make sure that your Steam Mop has cooled before attempting to unscrew the
Safety Filler
Cap ( ) to rell your mop. Aer relling with distilled or soened water, plug
the appliance into a
mains electricity ssupply socket andthe Red Indicator Light (D) will illuminate
as described above.
en press the foot operated Foot Switch (F) this activates the heater and the Green
Water Tank
Alert Light (E) will illuminate. When both lights are ON steam will start to come from
the base of
the product and you are now ready to start cleaning the oor.
Note: It may initially take a few minutes before steam is produced aer both lights
illuminate.
IMPORTANT: Never execute more than 5 pounds force on the Pump Switch (F),
excessive force will damage the switch.
CAUTION: Always turn o all the switches aer usage and when relling with water.
6. CLEANING PAD (I)
e cleaning pad is held in position by special gripping strips which grip the main base
unit (A).
Align these with the grippers on the main base and press into place smoothing the
whole surface to remove any wrinkles.
To remove the pad for cleaning, just peel o. To clean the cloth, just machine wash,
(MAX. TEMP. Setting 60º C) or hand wash in hot soapy water and rinse. Should you
experience stubborn stains on your oor, it is possible to dampen the stain
with detergent before steaming it with your mop, but do ensure that the detergent
is compatible with the surface being cleaned.
NOTE: We only recommend the use of genuine accessories (ese can be purchased
from the web site).

7. CARPET GLIDER (J)
e Carpet Glider is only required when cleaning
and sanitizing your carpets or rough surfaces.
Place the Carpet Glider on the oor and place
the steam mop with the cleaning pad attached
into it. Note: Carpet Glider(J) does not clip onto
the steam mop.
e mop simply sits in the Carpet Glider.
CAUTION: e steam mop must be switched o before placing into the Carpet Glider.
It is recommended to test a small area of carpet in an unseen area for compatibility
with a steam process, do not allow the steam mop to stand stationary on one spot, the
heat may damage bres or polished surfaces.
8. USING THE STEAM MOP
Once the Steam Mop is generating steam, operate it by passing it slowly over
the surface to be cleaned. is is the ideal method to thoroughly clean your oor.
On some rough surfaces it may only be possible to pull the appliance backwards.
10. STORAGE
• Turn o all the controls and unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet.
• Wind the power cord around cord holder.
• Store the Steam Mop indoors in a cool, dry area.
CAUTION: Always empty water from the tank before storage.

• Close supervision is recommended as children should not play with the appliance.

been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by the person
responsible for their safety.
• Fill the tank with distilled water or water that has been soened with an appropriate
water soener to prevent lime scale build-up which will prolong the life
of the appliance. Do not use ordinary tap water in this appliance even in a so water
area.
• Never put products containing perfumes, alcohol or detergent into the
appliance, this will cause damage, make it unsafe and invalidate your warranty.
• Never turn the appliance over on its side when using steam. Never
direct steam towards people, animals or plants.

based paint, paint thinner, some moth proong substances, ammable dust, or other
explosive and toxic vapours.
• Do not touch the hot surface or steam. ere is a danger of scalding.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Class 1 Conguration
e wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
GREEN/YELLOW: EARTH (E)
BLUE: NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN: LIVE (L)
Class 1 Conguration
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured mark-
ings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
e wire which is coloured GREEN & YELLOW (or coloured GREEN) must be connected to the terminal in
the plug which is marked with the letter “E” or by the earth symbol .
e wire which is coloured BLUE (or coloured BLACK) must be connected to the NEUTRAL terminal
which is marked with the letter “N”.
e wire which is coloured BROWN (or coloured RED) must be connected to the LIVE terminal which is
marked with the letter “L”.
Always ensure that the Mains Cord is xed into the plug through the Cord Guard or Cable Clamp, (plug wir-
ing diagram above), and that the Cord Guard screws are tightened to clamp the cord (outer sheath and inner
coloured wires) into position in the plug. Make sure that the plug top is also tted securely.

replace the fuse, use only a 13Amp ASTA approved BS1362 fuse (13A).
