WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the
mains lead of this
appliance may not
correspond with the
coloured markings
identifying the terminals
in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Green/Yellow [EARTH]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must be
connected to the terminal marked [N] or coloured
black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or
coloured red.
The wire coloured green/yellow must be
connected to the terminal marked with the letter
[E] or marked .
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug tted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use an
ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of
the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect it
from the mains – and then cut it o of the mains
lead and immediately dispose of it in a safe
manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert
it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of an
electric shock.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Remove the parts from the packaging.
2. Assemble as instructed in the assembly page.
3. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

ASSEMBLY
Handle sections assembly:
Push tube into body ensuring the locking
spring assembly has locked.
To disassemble: push button and pull out tube
with some full force. (Fig.1)
Pad assembly:
Fit the pad on base and pull the draw string to
secure. (Fig.2)
Carpet Glider Assembly:
Place the carpet glider part onto the base with
its pad covering it. Then let the retaining clips
x it into position. To remove pull gently on the
outer rim of the glider until it is free. (Fig. 3)
FILLING THE UNIT
IMPORTANT: Always insure that the unit is
disconnected from the wall socket prior to initial
lling and before tting the bottom of the mop
head.
Never use the steam mop without the
microbre cleaning pad securely in place.
Filling the water tank:
Turn the cap anti-clockwise and then lift up to
remove from the water tank. (Fig, 4)
Using the lling cup and funnel, pour one cup
of water into the water tank. Do not overll the
tank. (400ml) (Fig, 4)
Replace the cap onto the water tank
After lling up the water tank, turn the power
button on. The light on button will show red
indicating that the boiler is beginning to heat
the water, the pump will also engage and the
steam will be produced from the base. To
switch o the steam mop set the power switch
to the o position then unplug from the main
supply and allow to cool.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
IMPORTANT: Never use the steam mop
without the microbre cleaning pad attached
to the mop head or without water in the water
tank.
Note: It’s better to sweep or vacuum oors
before using the steam mop.
1. Twist the quick release cord holder to
unwrap the power cord completely.
2. To turn on your steam mop, plug it
in and the steam mop will power on
automatically.
3. Turn on the steam switch and steam will
wet the microbre cloth. It is normal for
the pump to make a little noise and shake
when begins working.
4. Adjust the steam output according to your
preference.
5. When the water tank is empty, a noise will
come from the pump and it will shake.
Switch o the appliance immediately
and rell the water tank following the
instructions under the ‘Filling Your
Appliance’ section.
6. When you have nished using the steam
mop, unplug the unit from the electrical
outlet and carefully remove.
7. Never leave the microbre cleaning pad
on the steam mop head when you have
nished using the steam mop; as the
dirt deposits and other foreign objects
may cause unpleasant odours and in
some cases may damage the surface it is
resting on.
8. For the best results wash the pads
after each use (additional pads may be
purchased online from www.pifco.co)
The benets of using a Pifco Steam Mop are
as follows:
• It will remove stubborn stains and sanitise
your work surfaces or oors more
eciently than conventional cleaning
methods.
• The steam cleaner can be assembled and
disassembled easily from a long mop type
steamer to a hand held steamer.
• It can be used as a hand held steamer
for those awkward places where the
portability of the product allows you to
achieve the extra cleaning protection that
conventional methods or products just do
not achieve.
Hand-held steamer:
The hand held steamer is an ideal portable
cleaner for use on work surfaces, counter tops,
sinks, windows, mirrors, tiles and spot cleaning
on oors, carpets and rugs. Use it with the jet
nozzle, brass brush or nylon brush attachments
to spray away dirt, grease, mould and more.
Remove the power supply cord from the upper
cord wrap and cord holder, turn the lower cord
wrap to release the cord and
remove the power supply cord
from its channel as illustrated in
Fig 5.
Press the extension handle lock
button and remove the extension
handle and the curved handle
from the main body.
Press the lock button on main body and
remove the mop head.

To attach the Jet Nozzle:
Insert the Jet Nozzle into the designated hole
in the Main Body until it locks in place with the
Lock Button on the Main Body (You will hear a
clicking sound), as illustrated in Fig. 6.
To t all accessories:
All accessories that attach to the jet nozzle
end, x by clicking in place and turning slightly
clockwise to secure in position.
They can be used with soap or detergent to
clean dirty areas.
WARNING: Never use the round brass brush
on soft surfaces such as plastic or soft metals
as they are prone to scratching.
When changing any of the attachments it
is recommended the appliance is switched
o and allowed to cool before changing or
adding the attachments
Window cleaning/garment cleaning:
This attachment is used to clean windows and
at glass products such as mirrors also this
attachment can be used for cleaning garments.
Too Fit the Squeegee attachment: Clip onto the
steamer shelf.
Too clean clothing: attach the steamer cloth.
To Fit the cover: Pull the elasticated steamer
cloth (Attachment 16) over the steamer shelf
(Attachment 17) This is now ready for use.
Also there is a squeegee blade for use on
windows & mirrors (Attachment 18).
WARNING: Do not use on frozen windows,
as the thermal shock may cause the glass to
crack or shatter. When cleaning fabrics where
possible it is recommended that you check
the fabric label to ensure that the fabric will
withstand the temperatures generated by the
steam or for large items or items that are not
labelled use a test area that will not be visible. It
is always best to have the material hanging as
this will aid with the eradication of creases on
the fabric item or clothing.
Fabric will be hot after the steam has been
applied.
Always test on a small piece of fabric before
use.
CLEANING AND CARE
Limescale:
If you live in a particularly hard water area, we
recommend using bottled or distilled water.
Warning: never pour vinegar or other liquid
cleaners for eliminating calcium into water tank.
After using the steam mop:
Disconnect power supply, allow Steam Mop
to cool completely and empty the water left
in water tank. Let the Steam Mop completely
cool down, clean with a damp cloth or a non-
abrasive (liquid) cleaner.
