one, place a sail mast (dowel) in the center hole
ofthechassis(Figure5).Iftwo,placeasailmast
ineachofthetwosideholes(Figure6).
6. Pusheachmastouttheothersidenomorethan
1/8"(3.17mm).Cool-meltgluethemast(s)in
place on the underside of the chassis (Figure 7).
7. Cutoutthesailpatternbelow.Thisisagood
sizeforasinglesail.Ifusingtwosails,consider
trimmingthisdownastwolargesailsmaycause
the car to tip when the air source is added.

Laythesailpatternoverthecopyorconstruction
paperandtracearoundit(Figure8).Cutoutthe
sail and use a hole punch to make a hole at the top
andbottomasshownonthepattern.
9. PlaceanO-ringoverasailmastand
pushitdownsoit’sabout1"(2.54
cm)abovethechassis.Threadamast
through the hole at the narrow end of
the sail. Then, thread the mast through
theholeatthewideend.Placean
O-ringontopofthesailandpushit
downabitsothesailhasabendto
catchtheair(Figure9).Repeatifusing
