Notes on usage
• Do not attempt to disassemble as this can cause damage to the device.
• Do not touch the cleaning thread as this will contaminate it.
• Do not pull the cleaning thread as this can cause damage.
• Do not use this cleaner when the cleaning thread is empty,
as this can cause damage to the ber optic element.
Notes on storage for extended periods
• Do not expose device to direct sunlight, high temperature or high humidity.
• The cover on the guide cap should always be closed when device is not in use.
Cleaner Life Expectancy
The cleaner operates by advancing a silk thread with each use. The thread spool is visible through the
window in the body of the cleaner on the side opposite the label. The thread is white, the spool is red,
and as the thread is consumed more of the red spool will become visible. When no more white thread is
visible on the spool, the cleaner should be discarded and replaced.
Safety Precautions
The FC250 Cleaner is designed to clean FC/SC/ST connectors only. We are not
liable for damage caused in attempt to apply this device other applications.

Push the Outer Shell to start cleaning the SC con-
nector end face. A “click” sound indicates end of
cleaning process. Close the cover after use.
Be careful to only insert the tool straight in to
avoid damaging the port. Do not exert excessive
force during insertion as this may cause damage
to both connector and the cleaner.
Insert tip of cleaner into SC Adapter.
Remove Guide Cap from the cleaner.

Insert SC connector onto the Guide Cap.
Open the Cover on the Guide Cap.
To Clean Connectors:
Push the Outer Shell to start cleaning the SC con-
nector end face. A “click” sound indicates end of
cleaning process. Close the cover after use.
Be careful to only insert the connector straight
in to avoid damage. Do not exert excessive force
during insertion as this may cause damage to
both connector and the cleaner.
