Software-update preparation
plusoptiX S12R
Prepare an empty SD card with a minimum capacity of 1 GB.
Click on the download-link with the newest software update which you can find on our
homepage and save the file on your computer.
You will need the following tools to make an update for the plusoptiX 12: Win32Diskimager
and 7Zip 32Bit or 7Zip 64Bit.
Short instruction on how to create the Update-SD-Card:
1. Please extract the downloaded 7z-file to somewhere using 7zip. You will get a file ending
with .img
2. Insert an empty at least 1 GB large SD-Card, it will be mounted to a volume letter like F:
3. Open with win32diskimager the .img-file and select the SD-Card (F:) as destination and
proceed.
4. When finished you can insert for testing the SD-Card into a switched off plusoptiX S12R
and switch it on. You will get a message, whether to make an update instead of the normal
software.

Software update instructions
plusoptiX S12R
1. Switch device off.
2. Connect 12V power supply.
3. Insert software update SD card with connectors facing up.
4. Switch device on.
5. Wait 30 seconds until the following window appears on screen:
6. Touch “OK” to start software update.
7. The following window will appear on screen:
8. Wait (software update may take up to 5 minutes) until this window appears on screen:
9. Touch “OK” to shut device down and remove SD card.
10. Software is updated and will be operational once device is switched on.
