concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product,

children. If accidentally swallowed seek
immediate medical attention.

Never recharge non-
rechargeable batteries. Do not
short-circuit batteries / rechargeable
batteries and / or open them.
Overheating, fire or bursting can be the
result.
 Never throw batteries / rechargeable
batteries into fire or water.
 Do not exert mechanical loads to
batteries / rechargeable batteries.
Risk of battery leakage
 Avoid extreme environmental conditions
and temperatures, which could affect
batteries / rechargeable batteries, e.g.
radiators / direct sunlight.
 Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and
mucous membranes. In the event of
contact with battery acid, thoroughly
flush the affected area with plenty of
clean water and seek immediate medical
attention.

 WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES!
Leaked or damaged batteries /
rechargeable batteries can cause
burns on contact with the skin. Wear
suitable protective gloves at all times if
such an event occurs.
 In the event of a battery leak,
immediately remove it from the product
to prevent damage.
 Remove the batteries/rechargeable
batteries if the product will not be used
for a longer period.
Risk of damage of the product
 Only use the specified type of battery /
rechargeable battery!
 When inserting ensure the correct
polarity! This is shown inside the battery
compartment!
 Clean the contacts on the battery and
in the battery compartment before
inserting!
 Remove exhausted batteries /
rechargeable batteries from the product
immediately.

Tip: Flashing numbers indicate a discharged/flat battery.
Tip: When changing the battery, the LCD display 5may
experience faults. Remove the battery and insert it again after
waiting more then 30 seconds.
 Push open the lid to the battery compartment 8
(seeFig.B).
 Remove the old battery.
 Insert the new battery into the battery compartment and
ensure correct polarity (+ and –). Make sure that the plus
terminal points outwards.
 Push the lid to the battery compartment 8shut again
(seeFig.B).

Preparing the calliper
 Loosen the locking screw 4so that you can move the
calliper.
 Clean all measuring surfaces 1and the calliper rod with a
dry cloth. Otherwise, faulty measuring results may occur due
to, for example, humidity.
 Check that all keys and the LCD display 5work correctly.
Starting up the device
Using the calliper
 Loosen the locking screw 4by turning it anti-clockwise.
 Push the external measuring jaws

and the internal
measuring jaws 2together.
 Switch the LCD display 5on by pressing the ON/OFF key

 Press the inch/ mm key 3to set the unit of measurement
(inch or mm) you wish to use. Either “mm” or “in” will
appear to the right of the figures in the LCD display 5.
 Press the key to obtain the zero setting (ZERO) 9in order
to reset the LCD display 5to zero.
Measuring an object from the outside (seeFig.C.1):
 Move the external measuring jaws

sides of the object you want to measure. Please ensure that
you do not damage the object you want to measure by
subjecting it to too much pressure.

Measuring an object from the inside (seeFig.C.2):
 Place the internal measuring jaws 2against the object you
want to measure.
 Turn the handwheel 7outwards anti-clockwise. Move
the internal measuring jaws 2apart until they touch the
object on both its inner sides. Please ensure that you do not
damage the object you want to measure by subjecting it to
too much pressure.
 The LCD display 5now displays the dimensions.
Measuring the depth of an object (seeFig.E.1):
 Move the depth-measuring blade 6out of the calliper.
 Put the depth-measuring blade 6in position until it touches
the surface (e.g. inside a hole).
 Slide the body of the calliper downward until you feel
resistance.

 Ensure that you do not damage the depth-measuring blade
6or the object you want to measure by exerting too much
pressure on them.
 The LCD display 5now displays the dimensions.
After measurement:
 After carrying out the measurement, move the external
measuring jaws

 Switch the LCD display 5off again by pressing the
ON/OFF key

Tip: The LCD display 5automatically switches itself off
after approx. 5 minutes.
 Tighten the locking screw 4again by turning it clockwise
until you feel some resistance.
Examples of use
Tip: When measuring, always proceed as described in the
chapter on using the calliper.
Comparison of plug and socket (seeFig.C):
 First measure the dimensions of the plug (seeFig.C.1).
 You may wish to make a note of the measurement.
 Then measure the socket (seeFig.C.2).
Deviation from a reference value (seeFig.D):
 Measure a reference object (in this case A) (seeFig.D.1).
 Leave the measuring jaws 2/

 Then measure the second object (seeFig.D.2). The LCD
display 5now shows the deviation of the measurement of
the second object to that of the reference object (A).
Measuring the thickness of the floor of an object
(seeFig.E):
 First measure the depth of the object (seeFig.E.1).
 Leave the depth blade 6in this position and press the key
to obtain the zero position (ZERO) 9.
 Now measure the entire object (seeFig.E.2). The LCD
display 5now shows the thickness of the floor of the
object.
Measuring the distance between two identical
holes (seeFig.F):
 First measure one of the two, equally sized holes
(seeFig.F.1).
 Leave the measuring jaws 2/

in this position and press
the key to obtain the zero position (ZERO) 9.
 Now measure the total dimension (seeFig.F.2). The LCD
display 5now shows the average distance.

Troubleshooting
The device contains sensitive electronic components. That is
why it experiences interference when in close proximity to radio
transmission devices. If any indication errors appear in the
display, remove such devices out of the proximity of the calliper.
Electrostatic discharge could result in malfunctions.
 When such malfunctions occur, remove the battery for a
short while and re-insert.

Cleaning and maintenance
 Clean the calliper before and after using it with a dry cloth;
never use petrol, solvents or cleaning agents.
 Do not immerse the calliper into water. Liquids can damage
the calliper.
 Always switch the LCD display 5off when not using the
calliper. This will extend the life of the battery.
 Keep away from electrical current and electrically charged
pins to prevent damage to the chip.
 Do not put the product under tension. Keep the product
away from electrical pins. Otherwise, the product's built-in
chip might be damaged.
Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which
you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.
Observe the marking of the packaging materials
for waste separation, which are marked with
abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following
meaning: 1–7: plastics/ 20–22: paper and
fibreboard/ 80–98: composite materials.
The product and packaging materials are recyclable,
dispose of it separately for better waste treatment.
The Triman logo is valid in France only.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more
details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of
the product properly when it has reached the end
of its useful life and not in the household waste.
Information on collection points and their opening
hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Faulty or used batteries/ rechargeable batteries must be
recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and
its amendments. Please return the batteries/ rechargeable
batteries and/ or the product to the available collection points.
Environmental damage through incorrect
disposal of the batteries/ rechargeable
batteries!
Batteries/ rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of
with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy
metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and
regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as
follows: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead. That is why
you should dispose of used batteries/ rechargeable batteries
at a local collection point.

Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines
and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of
product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of
this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our
warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3years from the date of
purchase. Should this product show any fault in materials or
manufacture within 3years from the date of purchase, we will
repair or replace it –at our choice– free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please
keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document
is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes
void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained
improperly.
The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This
warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear,
thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for
damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries
or glass parts.

 Izbjegavajte kontakt s kožom, očima i
sluznicom. U slučaju kontakta s kiselinom
iz baterije, temeljito isperite zahvaćeno
područje velikom količinom čiste vode i
zatražite hitnu medicinsku pomoć.

RUKAVICE!Baterije / punjive
baterije koje cure ili oštećene
baterije / punjive baterije mogu
uzrokovati opekline u dodiru s kožom. U
slučaju takvog događaja sve vrijeme
nosite zaštitne rukavice.
 Ako iz baterije iscuri kiselina, odmah je
izvadite iz proizvoda kako biste spriječili
oštećenja.
 Uklonite baterije/punjive baterije ako se
proizvod neće koristiti dulje vrijeme.
Opasnost od oštećenja proizvoda
 Rabite isključivo specificiranu vrstu
baterija / punjivih baterija!
 Prilikom umetanja pripazite na pravilan
polaritet! To je označeno u odjeljku za
baterije!
 Prije umetanja očistite kontakte na bateriji
i u odjeljku za baterije!
 Iz proizvoda odmah izvadite potrošene
baterije / punjive baterije.

Umetanje/zamjena baterija

Napomena: Trepereće brojke ukazuju na ispražnjenu /
praznu bateriju.
Napomena: Kod izmjene baterije može doći do smetnji na
LCD zaslonu 5. Izvadite bateriju i stavite je ponovno nakon
više od 30 sekundi.
 Otvorite poklopac ležišta baterija 8(pogledaj sliku B).
 Izvadite staru bateriju.
 Umetnite novu bateriju u ležište pazeći pritom na ispravno
stavljene polove (+ i –). Plus pol mora biti s vanjske strane.
 Zatvorite opet poklopac ležišta baterija 8(pogledajte
sliku B).

Priprema pomičnog mjerila
 Otpustite sigurnosni vijak 4kako biste mogli pomicati
pomično mjerilo.
 Očistite sve mjerne površine i šipku čeljusti suhom krpom.
U suprotnom može doći do pogrešnih rezultata mjerenja
uslijed primjerice vlage.
 Provjerite jesu li su sve tipke, sklopke i LCD zaslon 5
potpuno ispravni.
Uključivanje uređaja
Upotreba pomičnog mjerila
 Otpustite sigurnosni vijak 4, tako da ga okrenete u smjeru
suprotnom od kazaljke na satu.
 Stisnite vanjske mjerne čeljusti

i unutarnje mjerne
čeljusti 2jednu prema drugoj.
 Uključite LCD-zaslon 5tako da pritisnete tipku za
UKLJUČIVANJE / ISKLJUČIVANJE (ON / OFF)

 Pritisnite tipku inč/mm 3, kako biste postavili mjernu
jedinicu (inč ili mm) koju želite koristiti. Na LCD zaslonu 5

koji želite izmjeriti. Pazite da ne pritisnete previše, kako ne
biste oštetili predmet koji mjerite.
 LCD zaslon 5tada prikazuje mjere.
Mjerenje unutarnjih dimenzija

 Stavite unutarnje mjerne čeljusti 2iznutra na predmet koji
želite izmjeriti.
 Okrećite kotačić za pomicanje čeljusti 7u smjeru
suprotnom od kazaljke na satu prema van. Razmaknite
unutarnje mjerne čeljusti 2tako da dodiruju obje unutarnje
strane predmeta. Pazite da ne pritisnete previše, kako ne
biste oštetili predmet koji mjerite.
 LCD zaslon 5tada prikazuje mjere.
Mjerenje dubine (pogledajteslikuE.1):
 Izvucite dubinomjer 6iz pomičnog mjerila.
 Stavite dubinomjer 6na predmet koji želite izmjeriti tako
da dodiruje površinu (npr. unutar otvora).
 Gurajte tijelo pomičnog mjerila prema dolje dok ne osjetite
otpor.
