Introduction
We congratulate you on the purchase of your new
device. You have chosen a high quality product.
The instructions for use are part of the product.
They contain important information concerning
safety, use and disposal. Before using the product,
please familiarise yourself with all of the safety in-
formation and instructions for use. Only use the
unit as described and for the specified applica-
tions. If you pass the product on to anyone else,
please ensure that you also pass on all the docu-
mentation with it.
Intended use
This device is suitable for measuring wood and
building moisture, for example in firewood, paper,
cardboard, mortar, concrete or plaster. The device
is only intended for use in private households, and
not intended for commercial use.

General safety instructions
Before using the product, please familiarise your-
self with all the operating and safety instructions.
Please include all documentation when passing
this product on to others.
Check the device for damage before use. If
the device is damaged do not use it.
Do not expose the device to moisture. Other-
wise the device could be damaged.
This device may be used by children age 8 years
and up, as well as by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capacities, or lack-
ing experience and/or knowledge, so long as
they are supervised or instructed in the safe use
of the device and understand the associated risks.
Children should not be allowed to play with the
device. Cleaning and user maintenance should
not be performed by children without supervision.
The measuring pins are very
sharp. Always be careful when using this de vice.
Always attach the protective cap to the device
when not in use. Otherwise there is a risk of injury!

Battery safety
information
DANGER TO LIFE! Batteries
are not intended for children. If accidentally
swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
CAUTION!
EXPLOSION HAZARD!
Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries
and do not short-circuit and/or open any bat-
teries.
Never throw batteries into fire or water.
Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries.
Risk of battery leakage
In the event the batteries leak, remove them from
the device immediately to prevent damage.
Do not let the fluid from a leaking battery come
into contact with your skin, eyes or mucous
membranes. In the event of contact with battery
acid, thoroughly flush the affected area with
clean water and seek immediate medical at-
tention.
Use only the recommended battery type. Do
not use old and new batteries together.
Avoid extreme environmental conditions and
temperatures, which could affect batteries, e.g.
above radiators/in direct sunlight.
Remove the batteries from the device if they
have not been used for a long period.
Risk of property damage
Only use the specified battery type!
When inserting the battery ensure the correct
polarity! This is shown in the battery compart ment.
If necessary, clean the battery and device con-
tacts before inserting the battery.
Promptly remove used batteries from the product.
Inserting/replacing batteries
Open the battery compartment 8at the back
of the device by loosening the screw and re-
moving the battery cover 7.
Insert four new batteries type AAA, 1.5 V
into the battery compartment. Ensure correct
polarity. This is shown in the battery compart-
ment (see Fig. B).

The temperature is shown on
the display in either Celsius
(°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) as
required.
The measurement is shown in the middle of the dis-
play 3using gauge marks. On the left scale easy
line represents 1%, in the right scale it‘s 0.05%.
Measuring building or
wood moisture
Before measuring, first remove the protective
cap 1.
Push the ON/SET button 4to switch the
device on.
Before making the first measurement, use a test aid
1
to verify the device is working properly. The
test aid has four measuring points marked B and T.

Push the measuring pins 2into measuring point
B. All gauge marks in the display 3will be-
gin to flash.
Now press the measuring pins into measuring
points T. The gauge marks in the display should
read 19% (+ / - 1 %).
The device is ready for use if both tests return
the specified values.
Push the measuring pins into the material you
wish to test. The gauge marks in the display
will show the moisture content.
-symbol, left: use to read the measurement
for firewood, cardboard and construction woo d.
-symbol, right: use to read the measurement
of mortar, concrete and plaster.
Note: the gauge marks will start flashing if
the measurement exceeds the maximum values
of 2% resp. 44%.
Note: perform comparison measurements in
several different locations to minimize measur-
ing errors.
Temperature display
Note: the temperature will be displayed in the top
section of the display 3.
Hold the ON/SET button
4
for three seconds to
switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
LED torch
Hold the LED button 5for three seconds to
switch on the LED torch 6.
Press the LED button again to switch off the
LED torch.
Auto shut-off
The device automatically switches off if no buttons
are activated for approx. 30 seconds. The auto shut-
off is deactivated so long as the LED torch 6is on.

Troubleshooting
Electrostatic discharges can lead to malfunctions.
In the event of such malfunctions, remove the bat-
teries briefly and reinsert them.
Cleaning and Care
Do not allow liquids to enter the device. The
product may otherwise be damaged.
Only clean the device with a slightly dampened
cloth and mild washing-up liquid.
Clean the measuring tips with a slightly damp-
ened cloth and dry it afterwards.
Check the device for visible external damage
before every use.

Storage
Always attach the protective cap 1to the
device when not in use.
Always remove the batteries if the device will
not be used for extended periods.
Store the device in a dry location.
Disposal
The packaging is made of environmen-
tally friendly materials, which may be
disposed of through your local recy-
cling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more
details on how to dispose of your worn-out product.
To help protect the environment, please
dispose of the product properly, and not
in household waste, when it has reached
the end of its useful life. Please contact
your local authority for information on
collection points and their opening hours.

Faulty or used batteries must be recycled in ac-
cordance with Directive 2006 / 66 / EC and its
amendments. Please return the batteries and/or
the device to the available collection points.
Improper disposal of batteries
can harm the environment!
Never dispose of batteries in your household waste.
They may contain toxic heavy metals and are sub-
ject to hazardous waste regulations. The chemical
symbols of the heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium,
Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Therefore dispose of used
batteries through your municipal collection site.
Warranty
The device has been manufactured to strict quality
guidelines and meticulously examined before de-
livery. In the event of product defects you have le-
gal rights against the retailer of this product. Your
legal rights are not limited in any way by our war-
ranty detailed below.
The warranty for this device is 3 years from the date
of purchase. Should this device show any fault in
materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date
of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our
choice – free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date of pur chase.
Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe lo-
cation. This document is required as your proof of
purchase. This warranty becomes void if the device
has been damaged or improperly used or main-
tained.
The warranty applies to faults in material or manu-
facture. This warranty does not cover product parts
subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered
consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to frag-
ile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or
glass parts.

Bevezető
Gratulálunk új készülékének vásárlása alkalmából.
Ezzel a döntésével vállalatunk értékes terméke
mellett döntött. A használati utasítás ezen termék
része. A biztonságra, a használatára és a meg-
semmisítésre vonatkozó fontos tudnivalókat tartal-
mazza. A termék használata előtt ismerje meg az
összes használati és biztonsági tudnivalót. A ter-
méket csak a leírtak szerint és a megadott felhasz-
nálási területeken alkalmazza. A termék harmadik
személy számára való továbbadása esetén kézbe-
sítse vele annak a teljes dokumentációját is.
Rendeltetésszerű használat
A készülék fa és építőanyagok, pl. tüzifa, papír,
karton, szerkezetfa, habarcs, beton, vagy vakolat
nedvességének mérésére alkalmas. A készülék
csak magánháztartásokban történő használatra
és nem közületi alkalmazásra készült.

A csomagolás tartalma

utasítások
A termék használata előtt ismerjen meg valameny-
nyi használati és biztonsági tudnivalót. A termék
továbbadása esetén adja át az összes dokumentu-
mot is.
Ellenőrizze a terméket a használatbavétel előtt,
hogy nem sérült-e. Sérült készüléket ne üze-
meltessen.
Ne tegye ki a készüléket nedvességnek!
Ellenkező esetben a készülék károsodhat.
A készüléket 8 éves kor feletti gyermekek,
valamint korlátozott fizikai, érzékszervi vagy
szellemi képességgel élő vagy nem megfelelő
tapasztalattal és tudással rendelkező szemé-
lyek csak felügyelet mellett, illetve a készülék
biztonságos használatára vonatkozó felvilá-
gosítás és a lehetséges veszélyek megértése

után használhatják. A gyermekek nem játsz-
hatnak a készülékkel. A tisztítást és az ápolást
gyermekek felügyelet nélkül nem végezhetik.
A mérőrudak nagyon
hegyesek. Legyen mindig óvatos, amikor az
eszközzel dolgozik. Mindig tegye fel a védő-
kupakot a készülékre, ha nem használja azt.
Ellenkező esetben sérülésveszély áll fenn.
Az elemekre vonatkozó

mek nem valók gyerekkézbe. Lenyelés esetén
forduljon azonnal orvoshoz.
VIGYÁZAT!
ROBBANÁSVESZÉLY!
Soha ne töltse a nem tölthető elemeket, ne
zárja rövidre és / vagy ne nyissa azokat fel.
Soha ne dobja az elemeket tűzbe vagy vízbe.
Ne tegye ki az elemeket mechanikai terhelésnek.
Az elemek kifolyásának veszélye
Kifolyás esetén azonnal távolítsa el az eleme-
ket a készülékből a károsodások elkerülése ér-
dekében!
Kerülje el az elemsavnak a bőrrel, szemmel és
nyálkahártyával való érintkezését. Elemsavval
való érintkezés esetén azonnal mossa le az
érintett helyet bő tiszta vízzel és haladéktala-
nul forduljon orvoshoz.
Csak a megadott típusú elemet alkalmazza.
Ne használjon együtt régi és új elemeket.
Kerülje a szélsőséges körülményeket és hőmér-
sékleteket, mint pl. fűtőtestek/közvetlen napsu-
gárzás, amelyek hatással lehetnek az elemekre.
Távoltsa el az elemeket a készülékből, ha hosz-
szabb ideig nem használja.
Anyagi károk veszélye
Kizárólag a megadott típusú elemeket használja!
A behelyezésnél ügyeljen a helyes polarításra!
Ez az elemrekeszen van feltűntetve.
Szükség esetén a behelyezés előtt tisztítsa
meg az elemek és a készülék kapcsait.
Haladéktalanul távolítsa el a készülékből az
elhasznált elemeket.

Elemek behelyezése/
cserélése
Nyissa fel az elemrekeszt 8a készülék hátol-
dalán a csavarok kialzításával, majd vegye le
az elemrekesz fedelét 7.
Helyezzen be négy darab új, AAA-típusú,
1,5V-os elemet az elemrekeszbe. Közben
ügyeljen a helyes polaritásra. Ezt jelölés mu-
tatja az elemrekeszben (lásd B ábra).
Helyezze vissza az elemrekesz fedelét és húzza
szorosra a csavarokat.
Üzembe helyezés

Cseréljen elemet, ha ez a jel
látható.
A bal oldali skála 6–44%-os
fanedvességet mutat.
A jobb skála 0,2–2,0%-os
építőanyag-nedvességet
mutat.
A készülék a hőmérsékletet a
kijelzőben tetszés szerint
Celsius (°C) vagy Fahrenheit
(°F) fokokban jelzi ki.
A mérési eredmény a kijelző 3közepén mérővo-
nalakkal jelenik meg. A bal oldali skálán minden
mérővonal 1%-nak felel meg, a jobb oldalin pedig
0,05%-nak.
Az építőanyag, vagy a fa
nedvességének mérése
A mérés előtt távolítsa el a védőkupakot 1.
Nyomja meg az ON-/SET-gombot 4, a ké-
szülék bekapcsolásához.
Az első mérés előtt a tesztelést segítő eszköz-
zel 1ellenőrizze, hogy a készülék kifogásta-
lanul működik-e. A tesztelést segítő eszközön
négy mérési pont található megjelölve mint B
és T.

Nyomja a mérőrudakat 2a B mérési pontok ra.
A kijelző 3összes mérővonala villogni kezd.
Nyomja a mérőrudakat a T mérési pontokra.
A kijelző mérővonalainak 19 %-ot (+/- 1%)
kell mutatniuk.
A készülék üzemre kész, ha mindkét teszt során
a fent megadott értékeket mérte.
Nyomja a mérőrudakat az ellenőrizni kívánt
anyagba. A kijelző mérővonalai megmutatják
a nedvességtartalmát.
-Bal oldali jel: ezen a skálán olvassa le a
tüzifára, keménypapírra és szerkezetfára vo-
natkozó eredményeket.
-Jobb oldali jel: ezen a skálán olvassa le a
habarcsra, betonra és vakolatra vonatkozó
eredményeket.
Útmutatás: A mérővonalak villogni kezde-
nek, amint a ért érték átlépi a 2%-os, ill. a
44%-os maximális értékeket.
Útmutatás: Végezzen több különböző he-
lyen összehasonlító-méréseket a mérési hibák
minimalizálására.
Hőmérséklet kijelzése
Útmutatás: A hőmérséklet a kijelző 3fölső
tartományában látható.
Három másodpercig tartsa lenyomva az ON-/
SET-gombot 4a Celsius (°C) és Fahrenheit
(°F) mértékegységek közötti váltáshoz.
LED zseblámpa
Három másodpercig tartsa lenyomva a LED-
gombot 5a LED-zseblámpa 6bekapcsolá-
sához.
A LED-zseblámpa kikapcsolásához nyomja
meg újra az LED-gombot.
