Information and safety sheet for
SPUDNIK Air Cooled Reflector
L1400/125, L1400/150
Thank you for choosing our product. We recommend you read carefully each part of this
information and safety instructions before you switch any part of the systems. All stages
of the wiring of the electric cables must be made by an electrician professional!
Safety Instructions
•Before doing anything with the reflector, make sure that the power supply is disconnected
and then disconnect the reflector from the power pack.
•Keep away from children, pets and water.
•The lamp and reflector will get hot during use. Leave it to cool for at least 30 minutes
before touching them and never touch the lamp while it is switched on!
•Always ensure that you use the correct lamp to match the control gear.
Parts List
Please confirm you have all parts mentioned in the parts list (see next page side).
Installation
•If your reflector requires assembly, please refer to the assembly notes on the following page.
•Mount the reflector in a suitable position. Connect all ducting from the reflector to your fan
and/or spigot box remembering that the less bends in the ducting, the more efficient
the extraction. Note that air cooled reflectors require a minimum airflow rate of 200 m³/h
in order to keep them cool.
•Screw the lamp into the reflectors socket firmly to ensure a good electrical contact. After
handling the lamp, wipe it with a clean dry cloth to ensure you remove fingerprints, smears
etc.
•Plug the reflector into the ballast, ensuring the connectors are firmly pushed together. Switch
on the power to the unit and within 30 seconds the lamp will ignite, and after 5 minutes,
illuminate to full brightness.
Troubleshooting
In the system fail to start, then switch if off, wait 30 minutes for the lamp to cool and then remove it
and screw it back in again firmly. Switch the unit back on and if the lamp still fails, contact your
supplier.
Guarantee
In the unlikely event that you find fault with this product, please contact your supplier. All Spudnik
reflectors carry a one year guarantee (terms & conditions apply), excluding faulty fuses and
tampering.
