two Legs for Heater
The Producers Pride Chicken Coop Heater and Brooder has
been designed tostand in a vertical and horizontal position.
Simply insert the provided legs as seen below intothe
bottom or end of the heater panel tobestfit your coop needs.
NOTE: To avoid damage to the legs, do not use exces-
sive pressure to push legs into panel.
The Producers Pride coop heater / brooder has been
designed for an optional wall mount configuration. To install
using this method, locate the mounting screw holes on the
back of the heater (see illustration below for reference.).
Measure the distance from the center of each hole. Next,
locate a solid mounting surface on the wall and mark
location using the measurements taken from the mounting
screw holes on the back of the panel. Install two screws or
nails and then hang panel on screws or nails.
When using as a brooder, four separate legs have been
provided in kit.
NOTE: Each leg forthe brooder configuration has three
levels providing a height adjustment tomeet your
different needs. Select the height that best suits thesize
of your baby chicks andyour coop orcontainment
requirements. The height for baby chicks should allow
them towalk under thebrooder heater without touching
theheater panel.
As shown below,determine the bestheight for your baby
chicks and coop or containment requirementsand then
insert one leg intoeach corner of the panel. Make sure all
four legs are inserted at the same height level sothat panel
sets flat and level.
As an optional brooder configuration, the Producers Pride
coop heater / brooder has been designed to hang as shown
in the illustration below.
NOTE: Chains are not included with this kit.
To use in this configuration, purchase a small chain and
connect one end to all four corners of the panel as shown in
the illustration below. Connect the other ends of all four
chains to a single connector. Then connect to a secure
location above the area where you want to use the brooder
heater.
NOTE: Height adjustment will need to be made by
adjusting the length of the chain.

position. Allow heater to cool before touching or moving.
CLEANING:
Unplug unit and wipe witha damp cloth.
IMPORTANT: READ BEFORE USE
HEAT CONTROL:
The heater has a special in-cord switch allowing you to
select Heater(200W) or Brooder (40W) to choose. This
switch is LIT when the unit is ON. The middle position is
OFF.
SAFETY HEAT DISPLAY:
CAUTION : This appliance is designed for use ONLY with
110/120volt power supply. Do not use the heater with
220/240volt electric supply such as is common in UK,
Europe & other countries outside the USA.
This appliance has a polarized plug.One blade is wider than
the other. To reduce risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit in a polarized outlet one way. If the plug does
not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit,contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in
any way.
WARNING : Take care to determine prior to use whether

The Heater has a heat-sensitive indicator at the front
surface toshow when the surface is warm. The heat
sensi-tive indicator turns RED when warm and disappears
when cool.
