IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are
present, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following.

As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically
live even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of electric shock:
1. Always unplug this appliance from the outlet immediately after
using and before cleaning.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into
a tub or sink.
4. Do not place or drop into water or other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, “unplug it” immediately.
Do not reach into the water.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, or injury
to persons:
1. This appliance is for household use only.
2. Never operate this unit if it has a damaged cord or plug; if it is
not working properly; or if it has been dropped, damaged, or
dropped into water. Return the unit to Remington Customer
Service for repair or replacement.
3. Do not immerse in water; use near sink, or while bathing.

4. Use on a level, hard surface.
5. This portable lamp has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, the outlet must be brought into compliance withthe
National Electrical Code by a qualified electrician. Never use with an
extension cord unless plug can be fully inserted. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
6. Close supervision is required when appliance is used by or near
children or invalids.
7. Make sure the unit is turned off before plugging in or unplugging from
electrical outlet.
8. Unplug unit from the electrical outlet before cleaning or replacing lamps.
9. As with any product that contains glass and chemicals, reasonable care
should be observed when burned out lamps are discarded. Unbroken
lamps should never be put into fire, domestic incinerators, or trash
compactors.
CAUTION: Be sure mirror is not in a position where it can reflect sunlight.
Reflected sunlight can cause fire.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
■Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.Return to Remington
Customer Service.
■Do not wrap cord around the appliance.
■To replace lamp:
Unplug unit and place dial on the day position; lay mirror face down; remove
screws from back of mirror frame,using a Phillips head screwdriver only.
■Use replacement bulb F6T5/TTl for LM-7 and LM-8 models.
■For information on obtaining replacement lamps,see the order form.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
■Unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
■The unit can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
■The mirror can be cleaned with a damp cloth or any glass cleaner.
