MAINTENANCE
Your appliance is designed for household use and is
virtually maintenance free. If cleaning becomes necessary,
disconnect the appliance from the power source and wipe
with a damp cloth. Clean rollers with a damp cloth and
mild soap.
NEVER immerse the Rollers or the Base in water.
STORAGE
When not in use, unplug the unit. Allow it to cool and store
out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap
the cord around the appliance since this will cause the
cord to wear prematurely and break. Instead, secure the
cord in the dedicated Cord Wrap Storage at the back of the
travel pouch. Handle cord carefully for long life, and avoid
jerking, twisting or straining especially at plug connections.
AUTOMATIC WORLD WIDE VOLTAGE
The H1022 Remington Express Set® 10 features automatic
voltage adjustment for international use. Plug the unit into
any domestic power outlet and it will adjust to the voltage
being supplied.
Note: - Some countries will require the use of a plug
adaptor that is not included with your Remington Express
Set® 10.
This product conforms to radio frequency interference
requirements.

Place the unit on a flat hard heat resistant surface.
Plug the unit into a domestic power outlet. Switch power
on. The lid can be open or closed during heat-up and the
rollers will be ready to use in about 90 seconds. For a soft
wavy curl use the rollers after 90 seconds. For a tighter

USING YOUR REMINGTON EXPRESS SET®10
For optimal results, shampoo and condition hair prior to
styling. Hair should be dry, never wet. Section the hair
and make sure it is smooth and tangle free before
beginning to style. Wrap a section of hair around the roller
from the ends and keeping the hair taut, wind the roller up
all the way to the roots or to mid length, depending on
desired results.
Secure the roller in place with an appropriate size pin.
The pins are colour coded by size – white pins are medium
sized to use on the medium rollers, black pins are larger to
H1022 REMINGTON EXPRESS SET®10

KEY PARTS
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, especially when
children are present, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
DANGER – As with most electrical appliances, electrical
parts are electrically live even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
•Always unplug it immediately after using.
•
Do not place or store an appliance where it can fall or be
pulled into a bath or sink.
•Do not use while bathing.
•Do not place or drop into water or other liquid.
•
If an appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately.
Do not reach into the water.
Remington
strongly recommends that an approved Safety
Switch (residual current device) should protect all
bathroom power outlets. Ask an electrical contractor for
advice.
WARNING – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF BURNS,
ELECTROCUTION, FIRE OR INJURY TO PERSONS
• Your Remington Express Set®10 should never be left
unattended when plugged in to a power outlet.
• This Remington Express Set®10 is not intended for use
by young children or infirm persons without supervision.
use on the large rollers. Place the pin across the roller as close
to the roots as possible. The plastic C clips have two sizes,
medium for the medium rollers and large for the large rollers.
Use the medium size rollers for tight curls and the large
rollers for loose curls, volume and waves.
Because hair types vary from person to person, it is
advised to perform a curl test on your hair to determine
how long the rollers should be left in the hair. Usually after
a short time of about 5 – 10 minutes, there will be a soft
curl in the hair. The longer the time the rollers are left in
your hair, the more curly the effect. If your hair curls easily
it may need only a few minutes, but hard to curl hair may
need 10 minutes or until the rollers have cooled.
If you wish to reuse the rollers, return them to the unit and
wait 90 seconds.
Remove the rollers from your hair by gently unwinding.
Let the curl spring back into place and leave the hair to
cool fully. For a very curly look comb with your fingers and
loosen curls. To create waves brush out after with a soft
brush. Finish with a styling spray.
Once Rollers have been replaced in the base unit the metal
pins can be stored in the front inside pocket of the Pouch
and the plastic C clips can be stored in the inside pocket
of the top of the Pouch. Unplug the unit when you have
finished styling you hair.
