Unpack Your MACH 6:
Remove the printer and accessories from
the packaging. Store the packing material
in a safe place.
Set the printer onto a stable, level surface.
Use a carpenter’s level to make any
adjustments to the work table where the
MACH 6 will be operating. Level is very
important to the proper operation of the
printer. Do not move the MACH 6 while the
power is on.
It is critical that you read and understand
the MACH 6 User Guide. Improper use can
result in damage to the unit.

Connect Power and
Power-up the Printer:
Make sure that the Main Power
Switch [1] is in the OFF position.
Plug the AC Power Cord into a
100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz grounded
outlet. The use of a power protection
device is highly recommend.

Power-up the Printer.

and then press the Soft-Power Button [4].

After Soft-Power Button is pressed, it will take
about 30 seconds before information will
appear in the Touchscreen Display. Clamshell
section will raise fully to recalibrate position,
and then lower to the current Media Thickness
setting.
STEP 4
Load MACH 6 Software:
The following process is for connecting the printer via
USB. If you plan to connect via Ethernet (Network),
please see the User Guide for instructions.
Locate the USB Flash Drive, included with your Printer.
The USB Flash Drive is shipped attached to Printer body
as shown here.
Connect the USB Flash Drive to
your computer. Browse the USB
Flash Drive. Locate and open the
folder labeled “Driver”.
Locate and RUN “WinSetup.exe”
to Launch the Installer.
Select “Install Printer Software”.
Select “Configure to print using
USB” and follow the instructions
on screen.
When the installer program says to connect the printer
to the computer, plug the USB cable into the printer’s
USB port (item 3 in Step 4) and then to your computer.
Continue to follow the prompts and accept any
messages from Windows asking if you wish to continue
the installation. If your firewall asks for permission,
grant access to the software. Once complete, you will
see the “S Series Driver” in your list of available
printers.
The “Toolbox” is also installed
during this process. It provides
monitoring and advanced control
of your MACH 6 from your
computer. Look for “S Series
Driver Toolbox” located within the
“Memjet” folder from the
computer’s Start Menu.
Refer to the User Guide for Operating Printer.
STEP 6
Install Ink Tanks &
Printhead:
Install Ink Tanks: Open the Ink Tank Door
and release the Ink Tank Latches. Insert the
five Ink Tanks, label side up, into their
appropriate color slots (latches are marked).
Pull Tanks back about an inch then re-insert to
make a good connection. Close latches ensuring both
sides, at bottom of latch, snap into place. Check the
Touchscreen to verify all Ink Tanks are recognized.
Install Printhead: Open the Printhead Door and
verify that the Printhead Latch is open. If not, release
the Printhead Latch using the Touchscreen (Menu,
Setup, Release Printhead). Fully open the Printhead
Latch and Remove the Fluidic Cap Protectors.
Remove the Printhead from its packaging.
Gently remove the two pieces
of protective tape. Wet a lint-
free cloth with distilled water
and wipe the Printhead
nozzles. Be careful; don’t wet
the electrical contacts.
Insert the cartridge on an angle so the ink ports face
the ink couplings and click it forward into place. Once
the cartridge is installed, slowly close the Printhead
Latch. Close the Printhead Door to start the Printhead
priming process. All doors must remain shut during this
process. This process will take a few minutes. When
finished, Touchscreen will display the ONLINE condition.
