INSTALLATION
Removing the belt clip Pull the belt clip latch away from the unit.
See picture as right.
Installing the Batteries
FOR USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:
If your walkie talkie comes with a rechargeable battery , USB cable,
dual USB adaptor and dual USB car charger.The fully charging
time is about 12 hours,during charging , there is red light on the LCD screen meanwhile
battery icon will flash,when it is fully charged, the red light will be
off. The USB cable, adaptor and car charger will only charge the single ni-mAh rechargeable battery or ni-mAh
rechargeable battery pack which provided and not other types of rechargeable batteries.After placing batteries
into correct positions, replace the battery cover.
Remarks:Dont charge the alkaline battery.
FOR USE OF NON RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:
1.Slide down the battery compartment cover.
2.Insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included).
3.Position the batteries according to the polarity marking on the battery compartment. After placing batteries into
correct positions,replace the battery cover.
Low Battery Meter Indicator
The radio can detect the low battery level when the battery voltage goes low. The battery icon will display the low
battery status.
When battery voltage is low, the empty battery symbol will appear and continue to blink. The battery symbol will
continuously blink until it totally drains the battery voltage where then you will have to replace the batteries.
Transmitting Range
The talk range will depend on your surroundings and environment. It will be affected by obstructions such as hills
or buildings.
Don’t try to use two radio units which are less than 1.5m (5 feet) apart. Otherwise, you may experience
interference.
Talk range depends on the terrain. It will be affected by concrete structures, heavy foliage and by operating radios
indoors or in vehicles.

Operating the unit
Turning unit on/off
1- Switching on
Press and hold the Menu/PWR until you hear a beep sound.
2- Switching off
Press and hold the Menu/PWR until you hear a beep sound.
Adjusting the Volume
You have 8 preset volume levels. To raise the volume press the Up / Scan button and to decrease the volume,
press the Down /MONI button , then press PTT button or Menu/PWR button to confirm.
Key lock
Press & hold Lock button for 6 seconds, the unit will be locked and lock icon will be displayed in the LCD screen.
When the unit is locked ,only Torch button, Menu/PWR button, PTT button and Lock button can be available.
Press & hold Lock button for 3 seconds, it will be unlocked.
Torch
Press and hold the Torch button, it will be on. Release the button, it will be off. When the unit is turn off, the torch
still can be on/off by Torch button.
Auto scan
Press & hold the Up / Scan button for 2 seconds to activate auto scan. Press & hold the Up / Scan button for 2
seconds to deactivate auto scan Or Press Menu/PWR button to deactivate auto scan.
Monitor (Zero squelch)
Press & hold the Down/Moni button for 2 seconds to activate monitor.
Press & hold the Down/Moni button for 2 seconds to deactivate monitor.
Changing Channels
You have channels with the legal frequency at your disposal. To communicate with another device, you must set
the both on the same channel. To change channels, once you have turned your unit on, press the Menu/PWR
once and use the Up/Down buttons to scroll through to your desired channel. To set your desired channel, press
the PTT button to confirm changes.
Your unit is simplex “one way at a time”. While you are speaking, you can not receive a Transmission.

Your unit is an open-license band. Always identify yourself when transmitting on the same channel.
IMPORTANT: Before transmitting on a channel listen to ensure it is not already in use.
CTCSS/DCS
Press the Menu/PWR button twice and use the Up/ Down to introduce
CTCSS/DCS Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System or CTCSS is a circuit that is used to reduce the
annoyance of listening to other users on a shared two-way radio communications channel. It basically allows a
private CH on a busy stream.
CTCSS = Coded tone controlled squelching system. This allows you to talk on a private sub channel on an active
channel.
DCS is a digital extension of CTCSS.
DCS=DCS is a digital extension of CTCSS. It provides extra, digitally coded, squelch codes that follow after the
38 CTCSS codes. CTCSS 1 to 38 ,followed by DCS 1- 83.
VOX
Voice operated transmitter, it allows you to transmit with your voice without pressing the button.
Your communicator is equipped with an adjustable Voice Operated Transmitter(VOX) that can be used for
automatic voice transmission.
In this convenient mode,transmission is automatically initiated by speaking into the microphone.There is no need
to push the button.
By press Menu/PWR button 3 times,screen will display VOX character,character OFF keep flashing. Press Up or
Down button to select voice level(from 1 to 3 level or OFF), by pressing PTT button to confirm setting. VOX
default setting is off.
CA
Call allows you to adjust different tones for calling the operator from the same channel.
Press Menu/PWR button 4 times, screen will display CA character, digital 01 keep flashing, by pressing UP or
Down button to select call tone from01~10, then press PTT button to confirm call tone setting. Default setting for
call tone is 01.
There are 10 mode call tones in this unit. You and other party can use designed call tone to communicate
separately, secretly to avoid any disturb.To activate this feature, when the unit in normal mode, press twice
quickly and release the PTT button to send a tone to other users on the same channel.

TOT
Time out timer means the unit will automatically stop transmit after 30sec or 60 sec continuously transmit. Press
Menu button 5 times,
screen will display 60 TO, and then press Up or Down button can choose 60 or 30 seconds or OFF. Default
setting is 60 seconds, and press the PTT button to confirm changes.
Roger Beep
Roger beep means a tone added to the end of broadcast. It indicates that the user/operator has concluded
speaking.
This is a tone which is automatically transmitted whenever the PTT button is released. This alerts the receiving
party that you have ended the transmission, and you are now in receive mode. Press Menu button 6 times,screen
will display ON RO, then press Up or down button to choose RO OFF or ON. Press the PTT button to confirm
changes.
Key tone
Symbol will be on the display when Key tone is opened.
Press Menu button 7 times, screen will display Bell ON, and press Up /Scan button to choose ON or Down/MONI
button to choose OFF.
Default setting is ON, press the PTT button to confirm changes.
DCM
Dual channel monitoring you can monitor between two channels eg: 1 to 8 or 9 to 22. Press Menu button 8 times,
screen will display DCM OF, and press Down or UP button to choose DCM OFF or ON. When choose DCM is on,
press Menu/PWR button one time, then scroll Up/Down button to choose channel. The channel can not be the
same as main channel. Press the PTT button to confirm changes.
Transmitting (sending speech)
The unit is continuously in the Receive mode when the unit is turned ON and not transmitting.
When a signal is received on the current channel, “RX” icon will be displayed on the LCD screen.
a. Press and hold the PTT (Push to Talk) button to transmit your voice. The transmit signal icon “TX” will display
on the LCD screen.
b. Hold the unit in a vertical position with the Mic (Microphone) 5cm away from the mouth. While holding the PTT
button, speak into the microphone in a normal tone of voice.
c. Release the PTT button when you have finished transmitting. For others to receive your transmission, they

must be on the same channel as you.
Reset the unit
Take away the battery from walkie talkie battery compartment, then hold the Menu/PWR button meanwhile put
back the battery to walkie talkie battery compartment in right polarity. The unit will turn on and display CH 100.

1:If you use Alkaline battery, please use AAA size battery, but don’t attempt to charge alkaline batteries.

To control your exposure and ensure compliance with the occupational/controlled environment exposure limits,
always adhere to the following procedures.
Guidelines:
•User awareness instructions should accompany the device when transferred to other users.
•Do not use this device if the operational requirements described herein are not met.
Operating Instructions:
•Transmit no more than the rated duty factor of 50% of the time. To Transmit (Talk), push the Push to Talk (PTT)
button. To receive calls (listen), release the PTT button. Transmitting 50% of the time, or less, is important
because the radio generates measurable RF energy exposure only when transmitting in terms of measuring for
standards compliance.
•Transmit only when people outside the vehicle are at least the recommended minimum lateral distance away
from a properly installed according to installation instructions, externally mounted antenna.
•When operating in front of the face, worn on the body, always place the radio in a Retevis approved clip, holder,
holster, case, or body harness for this product. Using approved body-worn accessories is important because the
use of Non-Retevis approved accessories may result in exposure levels, which exceed the IEEE/ICNIRP RF
exposure limits.
Hand-held Mode
• Hold the radio in a vertical position with the microphone (and other parts of the radio including the antenna) at
least 2.5 cm (one inch) away from the nose or lips.The antenna should be kept away from the eyes. Keeping the
radio at a proper distance is important as RF exposure decreases with increasing distance from the antenna.
Phone Mode

•Do not use any portable radio that has a damaged antenna. If a damaged antenna comes into

Batteries (If appropriate)

batteries, may complete an electrical circuit (short circuit the battery) and become hot to cause bodily

Long transmission
•When the transceiver is used for long transmissions, the radiator and chassis will become hot.
Forbid

•Do not operate the charger if it has been broken or damaged in any way.

Einstellen der Lautstärke
Sie haben 8 voreingestellte Lautstärkestufen. Um die Lautstärke zu erhöhen, drücken Sie die Scan / Nach Oben
Taste und um die Lautstärke zu verringern, drücken Sie die Moni / Nach Unten Taste und anschließend die PTT
Taste oder die Ein-/Ausschalten / Menu Taste zur Bestätigung.
Tastensperre
Halten Sie die Tastatursperre 6 Sekunden lang gedrückt. Das Gerät wird gesperrt und das Sperrsymbol wird auf
dem LCD Bildschirm angezeigt. Wenn das Gerät gesperrt ist, sind nur die Lampe Taste, die Ein-/Ausschalten /
Menu Taste, die PTT Taste und die Tastatursperre verfügbar. Halten Sie die Tastatursperre 3 Sekunden lang
gedrückt, um die Sperre aufzuheben.
Lampe
Halten Sie die Lampe Taste gedrückt, sie leuchtet. Lassen Sie die Taste los, sie ist ausgeschaltet. Wenn das
Gerät ausgeschaltet ist, kann die Lampe weiterhin mit der Lampe Taste ein- und ausgeschaltet werden.
Automatischer Scan
Halten Sie die Scan / Nach Oben Taste 2 Sekunden lang gedrückt, um die automatische Suche zu aktivieren.
Halten Sie die Moni / Nach Unten Taste 2 Sekunden lang gedrückt, um die automatische Suche zu deaktivieren,
oder drücken Sie die Ein-/Ausschalten / Menu Taste, um die automatische Suche zu deaktivieren.
Monitor (Null Rauschsperre)
Halten Sie die Moni / Nach Unten Taste 2 Sekunden lang gedrückt, um den Monitor zu aktivieren.
Halten Sie die Moni / Nach Unten Taste 2 Sekunden lang gedrückt, um den Monitor zu deaktivieren.
Kanäle Wechseln
Sie haben Kanäle mit der gesetzlichen Frequenz zur Verfügung. Um mit einem anderen Gerät zu kommunizie-
ren, müssen Sie beide auf denselben Kanal einstellen. Wenn Sie die Kanäle wechseln möchten, drücken Sie

nach dem Einschalten des Geräts einmal die Ein-/Ausschalten / Menu Taste und blättern Sie mit Taste Nach
Oben/Nach Unten zum gewünschten Kanal. Um den gewünschten Kanal einzustellen, drücken Sie die PTT
Taste, um die Änderungen zu bestätigen.
Ihr Gerät ist einseitig „Eine Art und Weise zu einer Zeit“. Während Sie sprechen, können Sie keine Übertragung
empfangen.
Ihr Gerät ist ein Open-License-Band. Identifizieren Sie sich immer, wenn Sie auf demselben Kanal senden.
WICHTIG: Hören Sie vor dem Senden auf einem Kanal zu, ob dieser bereits verwendet wird.
CTCSS/DCS
Drücken Sie die Ein-/Ausschalten / Menu Taste zweimal und verwenden Sie die Tasten Nach Oben / Nach
Unten, um das CTCSS / DCS System (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) oder CTCSS einzuführen, eine
Schaltung, mit der Sie andere Benutzer auf einem gemeinsam genutzten Zwei-Wege-Funkkanal weniger stören
können. Es ermöglicht grundsätzlich einen privaten CH in einem ausgelasteten Stream.
CTCSS = Coded Tone Controlled Squelching System. Auf diese Weise können Sie in einem privaten Unterkanal
eines aktiven Kanals sprechen.
DCS ist eine digitale Erweiterung von CTCSS.
DCS=DCS ist eine digitale Erweiterung von CTCSS. Es bietet zusätzliche, digital codierte Squelch-Codes, die
nach den 38 CTCSS-Codes folgen.
CTCSS 1 bis 38, gefolgt von DCS 1-83.
VOX
Sprachgesteuerter Sender, mit dem Sie mit Ihrer Stimme senden können, ohne die Taste zu drücken.
Ihr Communicator ist mit einem einstellbaren sprachgesteuerten Sender (VOX) ausgestattet, der für die
automatische Sprachübertragung verwendet werden kann.
In diesem praktischen Modus wird die Übertragung automatisch durch Sprechen in das Mikrofon eingeleitet. Es
ist nicht erforderlich, die Taste zu drücken.
Durch dreimaliges Drücken der Ein-/Ausschalten / Menu Taste wird auf dem Bildschirm das VOX Zeichen
angezeigt. Das Zeichen OFF blinkt weiter. Drücken Sie die Taste Nach Oben/Nach Unten, um die Sprachlaut-
stärke auszuwählen (von 1 bis 3 oder AUS), und drücken Sie die PTT Taste, um die Einstellung zu bestätigen.
Die VOX Standardeinstellung ist deaktiviert.
CA
Mit Anrufen können Sie verschiedene Töne einstellen, um den Operator vom selben Kanal anzurufen.

Drücken Sie die Ein-/Ausschalten / Menu Taste viermal. Auf dem Bildschirm wird das CA Zeichen angezeigt. Die
digitale 01 blinkt weiter. Drücken Sie die Taste Nach Oben oder Nach Unten, um einen Rufton zwischen 01 und
10 auszuwählen. Drücken Sie anschließend die PTT Taste, um die Einstellung des Ruftons zu bestätigen. Die
Standardeinstellung für den Rufton ist 01.
Es gibt 10 Modus-Ruftöne in diesem Gerät. Sie und andere Teilnehmer können den festgelegten Rufton
verwenden, um getrennt zu kommunizieren, um Störungen zu vermeiden. Um diese Funktion zu aktivieren,
drücken Sie im Normalmodus zweimal schnell und lassen Sie die PTT Taste los, um einen Ton an andere
Benutzer auf demselben Kanal zu senden.
TOT
Timeout-Timer bedeutet, dass das Gerät die Übertragung nach 30 Sekunden oder 60 Sekunden ohne
Unterbrechung automatisch stoppt.
Drücken Sie die Menütaste 5 Mal. Auf dem Bildschirm wird 60 TO angezeigt. Drücken Sie dann die Taste Nach
Oben/Nach Unten, um 60 oder 30 Sekunden oder OFF auszuwählen. Die Standardeinstellung ist 60 Sekunden
und drücken Sie die PTT Taste, um die Änderungen zu bestätigen.
Roger Beep
Roger-Piepton bedeutet, dass am Ende der Übertragung ein Ton hinzugefügt wurde. Es zeigt an, dass der
Benutzer / Bediener das Sprechen beendet hat.
Dies ist ein Ton, der automatisch gesendet wird, wenn die PTT Taste losgelassen wird.
Dadurch wird der empfangende Teilnehmer benachrichtigt, dass Sie die Übertragung beendet haben und sich
nun im Empfangsmodus befinden.
Drücken Sie die Menütaste 6 Mal. Auf dem Bildschirm wird ON RO angezeigt. Drücken Sie dann die Taste Nach
Oben/Nach Unten, um RO OFF oder ON auszuwählen. Drücken Sie die PTT Taste, um die Änderungen zu
bestätigen.
Tastenton
Das Symbol erscheint auf dem Display, wenn der Tastenton geöffnet ist.
Drücken Sie die Menütaste 7 Mal. Auf dem Bildschirm wird Bell ON angezeigt. Drücken Sie die Scan / Nach
Oben Taste, um ON auszuwählen, oder die Moni / Nach Unten Taste, um OFF auszuwählen.
Die Standardeinstellung ist ON. Drücken Sie die PTT Taste, um die Änderungen zu bestätigen.
DCM
Zweikanalige Überwachung Sie können zwischen zwei Kanälen überwachen, z. B.: 1 bis 8 oder 9 bis 22.

Oben/Nach Unten, um DCM AUS oder EIN auszuwählen. Wenn DCM aktiviert ist, drücken Sie einmal die
Ein-/Ausschalten / Menu Taste und scrollen Sie dann mit den Tasten Nach Oben/Nach Unten, um einen Kanal
auszuwählen. Der Kanal kann nicht mit dem Hauptkanal identisch sein. Drücken Sie die PTT Taste, um die
Änderungen zu bestätigen.
Übertragung (Stimme senden)
Das Gerät befindet sich ständig im Empfangsmodus, wenn es eingeschaltet ist und nicht sendet.
Wenn auf dem aktuellen Kanal ein Signal empfangen wird, wird das Symbol „RX“ auf dem LCD Bildschirm
angezeigt.
a. Halten Sie die PTT Taste (Push to Talk) gedrückt, um Ihre Stimme zu übertragen. Das Sendesignalsymbol
„TX“ wird auf dem LCD Bildschirm angezeigt.
b. Halten Sie das Gerät in vertikaler Position, wobei das Mikrofon 5 cm vom Mund entfernt sein muss. Sprechen
Sie mit normaler Stimme in das Mikrofon, während Sie die PTT Taste gedrückt halten.
c. Lassen Sie die PTT Taste los, wenn Sie mit dem Senden fertig sind. Damit andere Ihre Übertragung
empfangen können, müssen sie sich auf demselben Kanal wie Sie befinden.
Gerät zurücksetzen
Nehmen Sie den Akku aus dem Walkie-Talkie Akkufach und halten Sie die Ein-/Ausschalten / Menu Taste
gedrückt. Setzen Sie den Akku in das Walkie-Talkie Akkufach mit der richtigen Polarität ein. Das Gerät schaltet
sich ein und zeigt CH 100 an.
