This User Manual is designed to show you how to use this video processor quickly and make use of all
the features. Please read all directions and instructions carefully before using this product.

FCC/Warranty
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Statement
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class A digital device, pursuant
to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates,
uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this
equipment in a residential area may cause harmful interference, in which case the user will be responsible
for correcting any interference.
Guarantee and Compensation
RGBlink provides a guarantee relating to perfect manufacturing as part of the legally stipulated terms
of guarantee. On receipt, the purchaser must immediately inspect all delivered goods for damage
incurred during transport, as well as for material and manufacturing faults. RGBlink must be informed
immediately in writing of any complains.
The period of guarantee begins on the date of transfer of risks, in the case of special systems and software
on the date of commissioning, at latest 30 days after the transfer of risks. In the event of justified notice of
compliant, RGBlink can repair the fault or provide a replacement at its own discretion within an
appropriate period. If this measure proves to be impossible or unsuccessful, the purchaser can demand a
reduction in the purchase price or cancellation of the contract. All other claims, in particular those relating
to compensation for direct or indirect damage, and also damage attributed to the operation of software
as well as to other service provided by RGBlink, being a component of the system or independent service,
will be deemed invalid provided the damage is not proven to be attributed to the absence of properties
guaranteed in writing or due to the intent or gross negligence or part of RGBlink.
If the purchaser or a third party carries out modifications or repairs on goods delivered by RGBlink, or if
the goods are handled incorrectly, in particular if the systems are commissioned operated incorrectly or if,
after the transfer of risks, the goods are subject to influences not agreed upon in the contract, all
guarantee claims of the purchaser will be rendered invalid. Not included in the guarantee coverage are
system failures which are attributed to programs or special electronic circuitry provided by the purchaser,
e.g. interfaces. Normal wear as well as normal maintenance are not subject to the guarantee provided by
RGBlink either.
The environmental conditions as well as the servicing and maintenance regulations specified in this
manual must be complied with by the customer.

Operators Safety Summary
The general safety information in this summary is for operating personnel.
Do Not Remove Covers or Panels
There are no user-serviceable parts within the unit. Removal of the top cover will expose dangerous
voltages. To avoid personal injury, do not remove the top cover. Do not operate the unit without the cover
installed.
Power Source
This product is intended to operate from a power source that will not apply more than 230 volts rms
between the supply conductors or between both supply conductor and ground. A protective ground
connection by way of grounding conductor in the power cord is essential for safe operation.
Grounding the Product
This product is grounded through the grounding conductor of the power cord. To avoid electrical shock,
plug the power cord into a properly wired receptacle before connecting to the product input or output
terminals. A protective-ground connection by way of the grounding conductor in the power cord is
essential for safe operation.
Use the Proper Power Cord
Use only the power cord and connector specified for your product. Use only a power cord that is in good
condition. Refer cord and connector changes to qualified service personnel.
Use the Proper Fuse
To avoid fire hazard, use only the fuse having identical type, voltage rating, and current rating
characteristics. Refer fuse replacement to qualified service personnel.
Do Not Operate in Explosive Atmospheres
To avoid explosion, do not operate this product in an explosive atmosphere.
Installation Safety Summary
Safety Precautions
For all product installation procedures, please observe the following important safety and handling rules
to avoid damage to yourself and the equipment.
To protect users from electric shock, ensure that the chassis connects to earth via the ground wire
provided in the AC power Cord.
The AC Socket-outlet should be installed near the equipment and be easily accessible.

Unpacking and Inspection
Before opening product shipping box, inspect it for damage. If you find any damage, notify the shipping
carrier immediately for all claims adjustments. As you open the box, compare its contents against the
packing slip. If you find any shortages, contact your sales representative.
Once you have removed all the components from their packaging and checked that all the listed
components are present, visually inspect the system to ensure there was no damage during shipping. If
there is damage, notify the shipping carrier immediately for all claims adjustments.
Site Preparation
The environment in which you install your product should be clean, properly lit, free from static, and have
adequate power, ventilation, and space for all components.

1.2 Product Overview
The RGBlink UMS Series of computer hardware delivers just that, with latest generation Intel i7
processors and a choice of professional Nvidia.Connectivity is king with up to 12K of configurable output
via the RGBlink isolated DisplayPort connector panel,protecting the GPU card from connector turn
degradation. Two slots are provided for installation of a select platform approved capture cards including
12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0.
Use RGBlink MPS plus to configure and output multiple video sources as layers, windows or PIP,
allowing outputted media to be tailored the needs of downstream processors and displays directly from
the source.UMS solutions are ideal companions for video wall processors and similar devices, and perfect
for integration, digital signage and events applications.

2.1 Connecting Signals
Connect input signals and output display to the product before all devices are powered on.
2.2 Plug in Power
Connect power cable to device and plug into wall socket. Turn on power at wall socket.
2.3 Turn on Your UMS4 plus
Press the power switch and the device will enter boot interface.
The device will remain the status you have set last time.

3.1Graphics Card Mosaic Setting
1. Right-click your computer desktop to open"NVIDIA Control
Panel".
2. Click “Work Station”--“Mosaic Setting”--“Add new”
3. Layout
Number of monitor:1-4
Layout(Row × Column):select layout according to your
needs.
Direction:Horizontal/Vertical
Click “Next” to continue.

3.2 Software Installation
Environment Requirement
Windows

LAN Environment
Put the control computer and media server in the LAN environment, the supported communication protocol is
TCP/IP protocol. (In order to ensure the quality of network communication, wireless network environment is not
recommended.)
MPS Server requires both the Client and the Server to be installed. Both can be installed on the same device.
In most cases, the client and server need to be installed respectively,so you need to install the client on the
controller and the server on the playback server.
5. Select the monitor

4. Arrange the monitor
Left-click and drag the signals to the display layout.
After setting,click”Apply”.
Note: The sequence of splicing display must be consistent with the factual situation.

After configuration settings,click the Client icon to enter
MPS software
Click“New”
Fill in the file name and save the file on your computer.
Settings on the software will be saved in the file and you
can directly load the file next time.
Now you will enter MPS plus boot interface.

2. Right-click the MPS plus icon,open the location of the
file.
3. Click the icon to enter the configuration
menu.
1. Adjust the location
Left:fill in the width of the main monitor,for example,the
width is 3840
Right:fill in the total width of monitors,for example,single
monitor width is 3840,and the total width of 4 monitors is
15360.
Bottom:fill in the height of monitor
After setting,click”OK”to confirm.

3.3 Add Device
The main interface as shown below
Add Device
There are 2 ways to add device
1. You can click the top menu bar -- 【Device】 -- 【Add
uutput】, and the【Add Device】box will appear.
2. Click 【Add Device】in the toolbar at the bottom of
the Device List.
Device name : custom
IP : IP address
Resolution : Automatically detect resolution or custom
resolution
Width/Height : fill in width and height of display
After setting,click“Accept”
Add one device every time,and the number of device is
unlimited.

3.4 Add Media
MPS plus supports a variety of formats of media materials,including video,audio,picture and so on.
Besides,it provides various media editing effects.
Video
MPS supports a variety of video formats, such as MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV, MPEG, RM, RMVB, WMV and other video
formats, and supports mainstream video coding formats to meet the requirements of all kinds of display and
performance.
Audio
Audio media can be used as the material to be edited into the program . When you use it, you need to import the
audio into the media list, and then drag it to the stage device. At the same time, you can edit the time , playback
duration and playback mode of the audio.
MPS plus supports various audio formats, such as MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC, APE, M4A, etc.
Picture
MPS supports a variety of picture format,such as JPG,PNG,JPEG,GIF,BMP,TIF.
Capture
Capture the computer desktop image is a common used function.The captured desktop image or the video
captured by camera can be edited and displayed to meet various needs.
Configure the capture card on the media server before capturing video on site.
Text
The text can be edited and displayed as the media to the big screen.
3.4.1 Add Media
There are 2 ways to add media
1. Click【Media】on the menu bar--【Add local media】
2. Click the icon in the menu of media list --【Add
local file】

Left-click the video, audio or picture in the media list in
the right column and drag and drop them into the time
axis as shown in the picture.
You can check the video you want to display in the
local folder, and then click “Open”,the video will be
imported into the software.
The added media will be shown in【Media source】
list.You can check the media information, including
name, type, resolution, duration,and path.
Click the icon to delete the media.

3.5 Layer Setting
3.5.1 Time Axis
Play Timeline: The yellow line is the play timeline, which
shows the current play time.When it start playing, the
timeline moves at a constant speed from left to right
until the playback stops.
Play Sequence: Drag the media between different
layers to change the priority of the media display. The
top media will be displayed first in the top layer.
Start/end time: on the Time Axis, the media on the far
left is the start time and the media on the far right is the
end time. Drag media horizontally to change the
start/end time of the media.
Play Time: On the Time Axis, drag at the end of the
media to lengthen or shorten the play time of the
media.

Add aux time axis to create multiple tasks outside the
main time axis.

Add control command can create a richer story format.

1. Click menu bar【TimeAxis】--【Add play CMD】/【Add
pause CMD】/【Add jump CMD】;
2. Add 【 play CMD 】 by shortcut Ctrl+W,add 【pause
CMD】by Ctrl+E,add【jump CMD】by Ctrl+R.
Click menu bar【Time Axis】--【Add aux time axis】or add
in the【Task】list.
Priority of media preview in aux time axis is higher than
that in the main time axis. That is, when media is
overlaid on the stage, the media on the saux time axis is
displayed above that on the main time axis.
