Operation Instructions
RL-330 Series
The Rice Lake RL-330 Series Dial Scales are lightweight and easy to use. They are accurate, sturdy, and safe for for all
home based patients or individual use. RL-330 Series include models RL-330HHL (Lb only) and RL-330HHD (both Lb and
Kg).

With the Rice Lake RL-330 Series, there arecertain precautions that should be taken to prevent personal injury to the user
and damage to your scale. Please follow these instructions carefully:
• Do not attempt to transport the scale while someone is standing on it.
• Do not drop the scale or subject it to violent shocks.
• For accurate weighing, the scale must be placed on a flat, stable surface.
• Weight exceeding the maximum capacity (330 lb/150 kg) may damage your scale.
• This scale is designed for personal use only and not designed for commercial/industrial use.
• The scale is not waterproof so avoid contact with excessive moisture.
• Never place the scale close to heat radiating appliances, for example, stoves.
• This scale is not intended for use by individuals with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or
deficiencies in experience or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
Scale Setup and Use
Use the following steps to set up the Rice Lake RL-330 Series scale.
1. Remove the ready assembled scale out of its packaging.
2. Place the scale on a flat, firm surface. Ensure that the floor surface is free from moisture to avoid the possibility of
slipping.

3. Adjust the weight indicator to 0.0 Lb/ 0.0 Kg by using the zero adjuster which is located near the bottom of the scale
(shown in Figure 2).

4. Step on the scale and position your feet in a manner that will distribute your weight evenly over the entire scale
platform.
Your current weight will be displayed in Lbs if you have model RL-330HHL and both Lb and Kg if you have model
RL-330HHD.
NOTE: To obtain relevant weighing results, always weigh yourself with no clothing on or the same clothing attire and at the
same time of the day.
Scale Care
Periodically wipe the scale surface down with a damp cloth to remove any dust. For stubborn soiling, apply some mild
detergent with a cloth. Store the dial scale in a clean and dry location.
Limited Warranty
Rice Lake Weighing Systems (RLWS) warrants that all RLWS equipment will operate per written specifications as confirmed
by the Distributor/OEM and accepted by RLWS. All systems and components are warranted against defects in materials and
workmanship for one (1) year.
RLWS warrants that the equipment sold hereunder will conform to the current written specifications authorized by RLWS.
RLWS warrants the equipment against faulty workmanship and defective materials. If any equipment fails to conform to these
warranties, RLWS will, at its option, repair or replace such goods returned within the warranty period subject to the following
conditions:
• Upon discovery by Buyer of such nonconformity, RLWS will be given prompt written notice with a detailed
explanation of the alleged deficiencies.
• Examination of such equipment by RLWS confirms that the nonconformity actually exists, and was not caused
by accident, misuse, neglect, alteration, improper installation, improper repair or improper testing; RLWS shall
be the sole judge of all alleged non-conformities.
• Such equipment has not been modified, altered, or changed by any person other than RLWS or its duly
authorized repair agents.
• RLWS will have a reasonable time to repair or replace the defective equipment. Buyer is responsible for shipping
charges both ways.
THESE WARRANTIES EXCLUDE ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR APARTICULAR PURPOSE. NEITHER RLWS NOR DISTRIBUTOR WILL,
IN ANY EVENT, BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
RLWS AND BUYER AGREE THAT RLWS’SSOLE AND EXCLUSIVE LIABILITY HEREUNDER IS LIMITED TO REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT OF SUCH GOODS. INACCEPTING THIS WARRANTY, THE BUYER WAIVES ANY AND ALL OTHER CLAIMS TO
WARRANTY.
SHOULD THE SELLER BE OTHER THAN RLWS, THE BUYER AGREES TO LOOK ONLY TO THE SELLER FOR WARRANTY
CLAIMS.
NOTERMS, CONDITIONS, UNDERSTANDING, OR AGREEMENTS PURPORTING TO MODIFY THE TERMS OF THIS WARRANTY
SHALL HAVE ANY LEGAL EFFECT UNLESS MADE IN WRITING AND SIGNED BY ACORPORATE OFFICER OF RLWS AND THE
BUYER.
