General
Do not allow this unit to be exposed to water, steam or sand. Do not
leave the unit where excessive heat could cause damage such as in
a parked car where the heat from the sun can build up even though the
outside temperature may not seem too high. It is recommended that the
FM band be used were ever possible as better results in terms of
quality and freedom from interference will usually be obtained than on
the MW band.
Battery
To insert the battery first open the battery cover (7) by sliding it in the
direction shown by the arrow. Insert one AAA (LR03) size battery into
the compartment.
Earphones
Plug the earphones supplied into the earphone jack (3) located on the
right-hand side of the radio.
Aerials
The earphones act as the FM aerial when plugged into the earphone
jack. There is a separate directional aerial built into the radio for MW
reception. To achieve the best MW reception, it may be necessary to
rotate the radio.
Power On/Off/DBB (Deep Bass Boost) Switch
Turn on the radio by setting the power switch (2) to the "On" position.
Setting the switch to the "DBB" position will enhance bass sounds.
Return the power switch to the "Off" position to turn off the radio.
MW/FM/FM Stereo Band Selector
Set the band selector switch (5) to the desired waveband. For MW
reception set the switch to the "MW" position .For FM stereo reception
set the switch to the "FM ST" position. If the FM signal becomes weak or
is accompanied by a high level of background hiss, you may select
MONO mode by setting the switch to the "FM" position.
Tuning Control
Slowly rotate the tuning control (4) to select the desired station.
Dial Pointer
Rotate the tuning control until the dial pointer (6) corresponds to the
frequency of the desired station.
Volume Control
Adjust the volume control (1) to the desired level of sound. Rotating the
control clockwise will increase the sound level.
