Important Safety Instructions
IMPORTANT: Read the assembly instruction section and safety precautions of this booklet carefully
before removing the contents of this carton.
1. All electrical work must be done by a registered electrician in accordance with local and
national electrical codes as applicable.
2. If the supply cord of this equipment is damaged, it must only be replaced by the
manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
3. This rangehood is designed for indoor use only and must be in a dry location.
4. Disconnect the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.
5. This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
6. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
7. There shall be adequate ventilation of the room when the rangehood is used at the same
time as appliances burning gas or other fuels.
8. There is a fire risk if cleaning is not carried out in accordance with the instructions. You
must read the details concerning the method and frequency of cleaning.
9. Do not flambe under the rangehood.
10. Exhaust air must not be discharged into an existing flue which is used for exhausting fumes
from appliances burning gas or other fuels.
11. The minimum distance between the hob surface and the lowest part of the rangehood is
600mm.
12. Attention should be given to ensure that any applicable regulations concerning the
discharge of exhaust air is fulfilled.
13. CAUTION: Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances.
14. Range hoods and other cooking fume extractors may adversely affect the safe operation of
appliance burning gas or other fuels (including those in other rooms) due to back flow of
combustion gases. These gases can potentially result in carbon monoxide poisoning. After
installation of a range hood or other cooking fume extractor, the operation of open flued
gas appliances should be tested by a competent person to ensure that back of combustion
gases does not occur.
15. The power plug must be accessible after installation.
16. WARNING: Failure to install the screws or fixing device in accordance with these
instructions may result in electrical hazards.
