Locking Clutch Manual
Guidelines/Restrictions:
- This carrier is intended for bolt down a lications.
- Bicycles must be equi ed with quick release front wheel.
- Bicycle weight limit is 35lbs with this carrier.
- Forks equi ed with carbon fiber dro outs or forks without safety tabs are not
covered under this warranty.

1) Remove the Quick Release Skewer from the main body by holding one end, and
unscrewing the handle.
2) Using the body as a tem late, osition and mark mounting holes. We recommend ¼
or 6mm bolts.
3) Install bolts and re-install the Quick Release Skewer.
To Load a Bicycle
Ste 1:
Remove front wheel from bicycle. O en the handle of the quick release so the black
handle is straight and the fixed end oints down. Load the fork onto the quick release
so both fork ends are resting straight on the quick release. Close the handle by fli ing
it 90 degrees to the closed osition. If it is too loose, o en the handle and turn it like a
screwdriver (clockwise to tighten, counter clockwise to loosen), and close the handle
again. Re-adjust until a firm and ositive sna is felt when closed.
The Quick Release Skewer is not an on/off switch. You must close the handle with
enough tension to hold the bicycle.
Rock the bicycle side to side to ensure ro er mounting. The fork should be ro erly
seated and not move. If unsure, lease consult your dealer or RockyMounts. Failure to
com ly could result in the bicycle detaching with subsequent damage to the bicycle,
vehicle, or other motorist.

Maintenance:
Put a dro of oil (chain lube, motor oil etc.) on the metal ivot oints, threads and axle
of the Quick Release eriodically for smooth o eration.
Caution:
- Remove Baby Seats, Panniers, U-Locks or items which could detach from the bicycle.
- Do not take the vehicle off road.
- Locks are only deterrents to thieves, RockyMounts cannot be held liable for stolen
bicycles.
One Year Limited Warranty
Rocky Mounts Inc. Warrants to the original urchaser that the roduct will be free
from defects in material and/or workmanshi for one (1) year from the date of original
retail urchase. Subject to the limitations stated below, Rocky Mounts will at its own
ex ense during the one year warranty eriod re air or re lace the defective
com onent(s). The urchaser will be res onsible for freight charges to Rocky Mounts.
This warranty is only a licable if the instructions are correctly followed and the
com onents are ro erly used. This warranty is not a licable if the defect is caused by
normal wear and tear or ex osure, the com onent(s) is damaged from misuse, abuse,
theft, fire, accident, alteration, mixing third arty com onents with the system and/or
unlawful o eration of the vehicle. Rocky Mounts Inc. cannot and does not assume
res onsibility for any damages to any ro erty arising out of the im ro er attachment
to a vehicle or a bicycle to the system or use of its roducts. This limited warranty
a lies to Rocky Mounts roducts and not to the roducts used in conjunction with
Rocky Mounts roducts.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, ex ressed or im lied, and does not
cover consequential damages of any kind arising from the use or misuse of Rocky
Mounts roducts.
ROCKY MOUNTS DOES NOT AUTHORIZE ANY PERSON TO ASSUME, ON ITS BE- HALF,
ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY.
