> Dieser Decoder kann mit dem ROCO-Fahrpult ASC 1000 nicht verwendet werden.
A Der Einsatz in anderen Digital-Systemen als den vors tehend aufgelisteten oder die Verwendung in
Triebfahrzeugen, die ab Werk nicht mit einer Dr kod er-Schnittstelle nach NMRA oder NEM (siehe
oben) ausgestattet sind (Anpassung z.B. durch Ab sc hne iden des Schnittstellensteckers und direktes
Einlöten der Dekoder in das Fahrzeug), kann zu irr eparablen Schäden am Dekoder oder an den
betreffenden Triebfahrzeugen führen. ROCO kan n im Schadensfall weder für den Dekoder, noch
für die betreffenden Triebfahrzeuge haftbar gem t~cht werden oder Garantie leisten! Schäden durch
sonstige Veränderungen am Dekader (wie z.B. I ,Kkie ren) sind ebenfalls von der Garantie ausge-
schlossen.
Die Verwendung von 12 V-Lampen im Digrt albe trieb kann zu irreparablen Schmelzschä-
den am Fahrzeuggehäuse führen!
Eingebaute 12 V-Lampen müssen gegen 16 V[ ,1mpe n ausgetauscht werden (bei Fahrzeugen ab
Produktionsjahr 2000 bereits eingebaut). 16 V -L(1rn pen sind über den guten Fachhandel oder unsere
Service-Abteilung erhältlich. Vergleichen Sie zur vo rhandenen Lampenausführung auf dem Lok-
E rsatztei Iblatt:
Art.-Nr. 108616 Drahtlampe weiß 16 V ersetzt Art. Nr. 93 520 mit 12 V
Art.-Nr. 109918 Drahtlampe rot (ausschließlich 16 V Ver sion)
Art.-Nr. 109088: Steckbirnchen klein 16 V, ersetzt /\r t - Nr. 93518 mit 12 V

Alle Einbauarbeiten müssen grundc,c~t;li c h .111 v om Gleis CJPnonHn e nen Fahrzeugen erfolgen. Das Trieb-
fahrzeug muss sich in einwandfrPit-mnwd1 , mt sche n und l'l!'ktrisc.hen Zustand befinden: Verschleißteile
wie z.B. Motorbürsten, Radkontc1ktc' eiL mu ssen g ereiniqt ociN gegebenenfalls erneuert werden!

Wir empfehlen, unter Berücksicllti<JlHHJ cll't lok spez ifischen lmbauanleitung, folgende Vorgehensweise:
1. Fahrzeuggehäu se abnehnwn und dcl'> Um sch a ltmodul b;w. den bereits vorhandenen Dekader aus
der Schnittstelle abziehen
2. Stecker des Dekoders so in dt<' )dmit tst C' II eei nset zen (ltg. 1 ), dass sich die Seite des Dekaderste -
ckers mit dem ratior angen Kc1bl'l tlll dPt rn it + oder T markierten Seite der Schnittstelle befindet
(Polung gemäß NMRA/NrM Rrcwln, dh. Lok fährt 11111 I ührerstand 1 voraus).
3. Den Dekader an einem geeigrwtPn Pldtl in d er Lok omotive unterbringe n. Teile des Dekoders dür -
fen dabei nicht mit M eta lltrilrn ciP., I c1h rze u ges in BPrührung kommen! Eventuell sollte zum
Schutz des Dekoders der Einb.lllplatz mit Isol ierband isoliert werden. Dabei ist die Iso-
lierung an den Metallteil en des Fc1hrze ug es vorllm ehmen, keinesfalls am Dekoder selbst
(etwa durch Umwick e ln de., DPkodNs mit ls olier b,md!). Dies kann zu Ausfällen des Dekoders
durch thermische Üb er l astung führen! R ekla matiotw n, die darauf zurückzuführen sind, können
nicht anerkannt werd en!
Der werkseitig verwend ete Schrumpbchl auc h um den Decoder behindert eine ausreichende Wär -
meableitung nicht und sollte dCihrr niCht entf ernt w erdrn .
4. Falls notwendig, kann d er Dekocll•r in d er L ok mit Doppelklebeban d in der gewünschten Lage
fixiert werden.
Funktionstest
Falls die Lokbeleuchtung nicht funktioniNt, w ur de der Dekaderstecker beim Einbau verdreht in di e
Schnittstelle eingesetzt. Stecken Sie diespn urn 18 0° gedr eht wieder ein.
Fahrzeugadresse
Der Dekader ist ab Werk auf die Motor ol c1 ** A dr e sse 03 eingestellt.
Betrieb auf Analog-Anlag<'n
Eine mit Dekader ausgerüstete ROCO Lok kön ne n Sie auch auf einer konventionellen Anlage einset -
zen: Zum Fahrtrichtungswechsel muss der Regler des Steuergerätes zuerst auf Null gestellt
werden.
Erst danach kann die Fahrtrichtung mit einem deutlichen, etwas längeren Umschaltimpuls
gewechselt werden. Die Lampenh elligk Pit rich tet sich n ach der Geschwindigkeit der Lok. Die Lam -
pen sind nicht ausschaltbar, eine eventuell ein ger ichtet e Sonderfunkti on F1 ist nicht schaltbar. Eine
Umprogrammierung voreingestellter Adr es se n und Eigenschaften ist im Analogbetrieb nicht
möglich.

L'installation du decodeur
Veuillez surtout faire attention aux decharges eiC' ctro statiques. Si vous disposez d'un equipement
ESD (Eiectrostatic Discharge = equipement de pr otec tion contre les decharges electrostatiques) il
est conseille de s'en servir lors du montage, sinon veill ez surtout a ne pastaueher les contacts de Ia
fiche de connexion du decodeur !
Toutes les OpArations d'installation sont imperative rnen t a faire Ia locomotive enlevee des rails.
Elle doit etre en bon etat general (mecanique, elect riqu e, etc.): Des pieces a usure naturelle (balais,
palpeurs, etc.) sont a nettoyer ou a remplacer, si b esoin ...
A IVeuillez egalement tenir compte des recomm an dations d'installation d'un decodeur four-'
nies avec les locomotives ROCO munies d'intc"'ace NEM 650/652 !

Taut en respectant les dispositions individuelles d'inst allation pour chaque locomotive nous vous
conseillons de proceder comme suit :
1. Deposer Ia caisse de Ia locomotive et deconnec ter, de l'interface NEM 650/652 de Ia locomotive,
l'inverseur electronique ou le decodeur a rempl acer.
2. Enficher sur l'interface Ia fiche du nouveau dec odeu r de teile fa~on (voir fig. 1) que le cöte de Ia
fiche marque par le fil rouge ou orange se situe cöt ec ontact de l'interface marque par + ou * (polarite
du courant «traction» suivant les normes NEM et NM RA, Ia machine s'evoluant cabine 1 ou cheminee
en avant).
3. Placer le decodeur dans Ia machine. ATTENTION : Aucun composant electronique du decodeur ne
doit se retrouver en contact direct avec un autr e co mposant metallique de Ia locomotive ! En vue
de proteger le decodeur contre tout contact i nvol ontaire il taut eventuellement isoler l'endroit
prevu al'aide d'une bande adhesive isolante. Dans ce cas, l'isolation doit etre faite aux surfaces
metalliques du vehicule risquant d'avoir un cont act avec le decodeur. N'appliquez jamais Ia bande
adhesive d'isolement au decodeur-meme (en l'enr obant par Ia bande adhesive isolante, p.e.!), car
cette methode risque de surcharger thermiquem ent le decodeur ou meme de le detruire. Des redama-
tians de decodeurs endommages par surcharge thcr mi que due a une isolation directement appliquee au
decodeur ne seront pas acceptees!
La gaine thermo-retractable enrobant le decode ur et assurant sa protection electrique n'a pas d'in-
fluence sur le refroidissement du decodeur. II est don c deconseille de l'enlever.
4. Si necessaire, le decodeur peut etre fixe a l'endro it pr evu a l'aide d'un petit baut de bande adhesive
double face.
Test des fonctions essentielles du d f1r odeur
Si les feux ne fonctionnent pas, l'erreur est dO au fai t q ue Ia fiche du decodeur fut place dans l'interface
en position erronnee. Pour corriger cette erreur, retir ez Ia fiche et enfichez-la dans l'autre sens.
Adresse de Ia machine ainsi equipe
Le decodeur a ete programme, en usine, a l'adresse «03 » protocole «Motorola**».
Exploitation en commande «analogr 1e»
Taute locomotive ROCO muni de ce decodeur circul t> in differemment sur un reseau a commande clas-
sique, dite «analogique». Toutefois, veuillez respect er Ia recommandation d'exploitation suivante :

Meme si votre machine doit circuler sous protocoiP «M oto rola**», il est conseille de realiser Ia pro-
grammation de son decodeur en choissiant le regi me «P rogrammation des variables de configuration
(les «CV») octet par octet» du protocole «DCC». Gr c~ce a sa qualite «multi-protocole», le decodeur
peut etre exploite et programme indifferement au proto cole «Motorola**» ou «DCC». Pour activer le
regime «Programmation» de I' «lntellibox», veuiiiP / vo us referer a son mode d'emploi.
Poser Ia machine sur Ia voie «programmation».
Selectionner le numero de Ia variable correspon d mt e (toujours a deux chiffes). Aces fins, voir le
