Thismanualcontainsimportantinstructionsthatshouldbefollowedduringunpacking,
installationandmaintenanceoftheUPSandbatteries.
ImportantNotices
•ToensuresafetyinallapplicationswhereaUPSishard‐wiredtotheelectricalsupply,the
connectionsbetweentheUPSandtheelectricalsupplyshouldbemadebyaqualified
electricalcontractor.
•ThoseUPSsystemssuppliedwithafactoryinputleadcanbesafelyconnectedtothewall
outletbythepurchaser.
•TheUPShasitsowninternalenergysource(battery).Shouldthebatterybeswitchedon
whennoACpowerisavailable,voltagewillbeattheoutputterminals.
•EnsurethattheACutilityoutletiscorrectlywiredandgrounded.
•EnsurethattheinputvoltageoftheUPSmatchesthesupplyvoltage.
•Useacertifiedinputpowercablewiththecorrectplugsandsocketsthatmatchesthe
voltagesystem.
•Donotopenthecaseastherearenoserviceablepartsinside.Openingthecasewillvoid
thewarranty.
•AnyattempttorepairtheUPSunitbysomeoneotherthananauthorizedtechnicianshall
voidthewarranty.
•ToeliminateoverheatingoftheUPS,keepallventilationopeningsfreefromobstruction,
anddonotstoreanythingontopoftheUPS.KeeptheUPS8inches(20cm)awayfromthe
wall.
•EnsuretheUPSisinstalledwithintheproperenvironmentasspecified(0‐40°Cor32‐40oF
and30‐90%non‐condensinghumidity).
•DonotinstalltheUPSindirectsunlight.Thewarrantymaybevoidifthebatteriesfail.
•InstalltheUPSindoorsasitisnotdesignedforoutdooruse.
•Dusty,corrosiveandsaltyenvironmentscandamagetheUPS.
•InstalltheUPSawayfromobjectswhichgiveoffexcessiveheatandareaswhichare
excessivelywet.
•Liquidsspilledand/orforeignobjectsdroppedintotheUPSwillvoidthewarranty.
•Thebatterywilldischargenaturallyifthesystemisunusedforanylengthoftime.
•TheUPSshouldberechargedevery2‐3monthsifunused.Ifthisisnotdone,thewarranty
willbevoid.WhentheUPSisusedregularly,thebatterieswillbeautomaticallyrecharged
andkeptintopcondition.
•ThisUPShasbeendesignedandconstructedtoprotectyourassetsfromthewiderangeof
poweraberrationsexperiencedonutilitypowerlines.Takecaretoinstallandmaintainthe
systemcorrectlybyyourlocaldistributor.
•Intendedforinstallationinatemperaturecontrolledenvironment.

1. UseaPhillips‐headscrewdrivertoremovethetwofrontpanelscrewsandslidedownthe
panel.
2. GentlypullthebatteryoutoftheUPS.
3. Loosentheblackwirefromthenegative(‐)terminalandredwirefromthepositive(+)
terminal.
4. Connectthebatteryleadstothenewbattery.
5. Note:Smallsparksatthebatteryconnectorsarenormalduringconnection.
6. SlidethenewbatteryintotheUPS.
7. Closethefrontpanelandfastenthetwoscrews.
8. Disposeoftheoldbatteryproperlyatanappropriaterecyclingfacility.

Rocstor,Inc.,itsworldwidesubsidiaries,affiliates,authorizedresellers,orcountrydistributors
(collectivelyreferredtointhisLimitedWarrantyas“Rocstor”).ThisLimitedWarrantyis
applicableinallcountriesandmaybeenforcedinanycountrywhereRocstororitsauthorized
serviceprovidersofferwarrantyservicesubjecttothetermsandconditionssetforthinthis
LimitedWarranty.However,warrantyserviceavailabilityandresponsetimesmayvaryfrom
countrytocountryandmayalsobesubjecttoregistrationrequirementsinthecountryof
purchase.
RocstorwarrantsthattheRocstorhardwareproductandalltheinternalcomponentsofthe
productthatyouhavepurchasedorleasedfromRocstorarefreefromdefectsinmaterialsor
workmanshipundernormaluseduringtheLimitedWarrantyPeriod.TheLimitedWarranty
PeriodstartsonthedateofpurchaseorleasefromRocstor.Yourdatedsalesordelivery
receipt,showingthedateofpurchaseorleaseoftheproduct,isyourproofofthepurchaseor
leasedate.Youmayberequiredtoprovideproofofpurchaseorleaseasaconditionof
receivingwarrantyservice.Youareentitledtowarrantyserviceaccordingtothetermsand
conditionsofthisdocumentifarepairtoyourRocstorbrandedhardwareisrequiredwithinthe
LimitedWarrantyPeriod.ThisLimitedWarrantyextendsonlytotheoriginalpurchaseror
lesseeofthisRocstorbrandedproductandisnottransferabletoanyonewhoobtains
ownershipoftheRocstorbrandedproductfromtheoriginalpurchaserorlessee.
Rocstorproductsaremanufacturedusingnewmaterialsornewandusedmaterialsequivalent
tonewinperformanceandreliability.Sparepartsmaybeneworequivalenttonew.Spare
partsarewarrantedtobefreefromdefectsinmaterialorworkmanshipforthirty(30)daysor
fortheremainderoftheLimitedWarrantyPeriodoftheRocstorhardwareproductinwhich
theyareinstalled,whicheverislonger.

ThisLimitedWarrantyisprovidedbyRocstorforRocpowerlinesofproductsusedinthe
ordinarycourseofyourbusiness.
Descriptions,DrawingsandSpecifications
Rocstorproductswillsubstantiallyconformtothedescriptions,drawingsandspecifications
publishedbyRocstor.However,thedescriptions,drawingsandspecificationsarenot
warrantiesofperformanceandnotwarrantiesoffitnessforaparticularpurpose.The
descriptions,drawingsandspecificationsaresubjecttothislimitedwarranty.
Rocstor’sObligationundertheWarranty
DuringtheLimitedWarrantyPeriod,Rocstorwillrepairorreplacethedefectivecomponent
partsorthehardwareproduct.Allcomponentpartsorhardwareproductsremovedunderthis
LimitedWarrantybecomethepropertyofRocstor.Thereplacementpartorproducttakeson
eithertheLimitedWarrantystatusoftheremovedpartorproductorthethirty(30)daylimited
warrantyofthesparepart.IntheunlikelyeventthatyourRocstorproducthasarecurring
failure,Rocstor,atitsdiscretion,mayelecttoprovideyouwithareplacementunitofRocstor‘s
choosingthatisatleastequivalenttoyourRocstorbrandedproductinhardwareperformance.
Rocstorreservestherighttoelect,atitssolediscretion,togiveyouarefundofyourpurchase
priceorleasepayments(lessinterest)insteadofareplacement.Thisisyourexclusiveremedy
fordefectiveproducts.TheoriginalLimitedWarrantyisnotextendedwhentheproduct,ora
partoftheproduct,isrepairedorreplacedduringtheLimitedWarrantyperiod.
Rocstordoesnotwarrantthattheoperationofthisproductwillbeuninterruptedorerror‐free.
Rocstorisnotresponsiblefordamagethatoccursasaresultofyourfailuretofollowthe
instructionsthatcamewiththeRocstorbrandedproduct.
ThisLimitedWarrantydoesnotapplytoexpendableparts.ThisLimitedWarrantydoesnot
extendtoanyproductfromwhichtheserialnumberhasbeenremovedorthathasbeen
damagedorrendereddefective(a)asaresultofaccident,misuse,abuse,orotherexternal
causes;(b)asaresultofnormalwear;(c)byoperationoutsidetheusageparametersstatedin
theuserdocumentationthatshippedwiththeproductand/orpostedontheRocstorwebsite;
(d)bytheuseofpartsnotmanufacturedorsoldbyRocstor;or(e)bymodificationorserviceby
anyoneotherthan(i)Rocstor,(ii)aRocstorauthorizedserviceprovider,or(iii)yourown
installationofend‐userreplaceableRocstororRocstorapprovedpartsifavailableforyour
productintheservicingcountry.
ThesetermsandconditionsconstitutethecompleteandexclusiveLimitedWarrantyagreement
betweenRocstorandyouregardingtheRocstorbrandedproductyouhavepurchasedorleased.
Thesetermsandconditionssupersedeanyprioragreementsorrepresentationsincluding
representationsmadeinRocstorsalesliteratureoradvicegiventoyoubyRocstororanagent
oremployeeofRocstorthatmayhavebeenmadeinconnectionwithyourpurchaseorleaseof
theRocstorbrandedproduct.NochangetotheconditionsofthisLimitedWarrantyisvalid
unlessitismadeinwritingandsignedbyanauthorizedrepresentativeofRocstor.

Buyer’sObligationundertheWarranty
Thepersonrequestingcoverageunderthiswarrantyshallprovethatheorsheistheoriginal
purchaseranddeclaresthattheproducthasnotbeensold,leased,barteredorotherwise
changedpossession.
ThebuyermustnotifyRocstorandshowproofofnotificationthroughanyreasonablemeans
ofcommunicationinwhichthereisacknowledgmentofreceipt.Seefullstreetaddress,email
addressandtollfreephonenumbersbelow.Thenotificationshallidentifyanydefect,
malfunctionornonconformitypromptlyupondiscovery.Rocstorwillacknowledgereceiptof
thecommunicationandissueaReturnMerchandiseAuthorization(RMA)code.Thebuyeris
obligatedtosecurelyandsafelypackagetheproduct,preferablyintheoriginalpacking
materials,WITHTHERMAcodeontheshippinglabel,anddeliverittogetherwithacopyof
theoriginalpurchasereceiptandadescriptionoftheproblemtotheRocstorhomeoffice.
BuyerisresponsiblefortheproductuntilitisreceivedbyRocstor.Itisrecommendedthatthe
productbeinsuredduringtransportation.
NOTICE:Theindividualusershouldtakecaretodetermine,priortouse,whetherthisdeviceis
suitable,adequateorsafefortheuseintended.Sinceindividualapplicationsaresubjectto
greatvariation,Rocstormakesnorepresentationorwarrantyastothesuitabilityorfitnessof
theseproductsforanyspecificapplication.

theRocstorbrandnamearesetforthintheapplicableend‐userlicenseorprogramlicense
agreement.Non‐Rocstorhardwareandsoftwareproductsareprovided“ASIS”andwithout
anyWarranty.However,non‐Rocstormanufacturers,suppliers,orpublishersmayprovidetheir
ownwarrantiesdirectlytoyou.
SoftwareTechnicalSupport
Softwaretechnicalsupportisdefinedasassistancewithquestionsandissuesaboutthe
softwarethatwaseitherpreinstalledbyRocstorontheRocstorbrandedproductorthatwas
includedwiththeRocstorbrandedproductatthetimeofyourpurchaseorleaseoftheproduct.
Technicalsupportforsoftwareisavailableforthefirstninety(90)daysfromdateofproduct
purchaseorlease.Yourdatedsalesordeliveryreceipt,showingthedateofpurchaseorlease
oftheproduct,isyourproofofthepurchaseorleasedate.Youmayberequiredtoprovide
proofofpurchaseorleaseasaconditionofreceivingsoftwaretechnicalsupport.

Afterthefirstninety(90)days,technicalsupportforsoftwarethatwaseitherpreinstalledby
RocstorontheRocstorbrandedproductorincludedwiththeRocstorbrandedproductatthe
timeofyourpurchaseorleaseoftheproductisavailableforafee.

Theindividualusershouldtakecaretodeterminepriortousewhetherthisdeviceissuitable,
adequateorsafefortheuseintended.Sinceindividualapplicationsaresubjecttogreat
variation,themanufacturer“Rocstor”makesnorepresentationorwarrantyastothesuitability
orfitnessofthesedevicesforanyspecificapplication.
LimitedWarrantyPeriod
ThelimitedwarrantyperiodforROCPOWERUPSproductsistwo(2)yearsPartsandLaboron
thechassisandone(1)yearPartsandLaboronthebatteries,whetherinsidethechassisor
providedseparately.Rocstorwarrantsthisequipment,whenproperlyappliedandoperated
withinspecifiedconditions,againstfaultymaterialsorworkmanshipforaperiodofone(1)year
fromthedateoforiginalpurchasebytheoriginalenduser.ThisLimitedWarrantyextendsonly
totheoriginalpurchaserorlesseeofthisRocstorbrandedproductandisnottransferable.For
equipmentsiteswithintheUnitedStatesandCanada,thislimitedwarrantycoversrepairor
replacementofdefectiveequipmentatthediscretionofRocstor.Repairwillbefromthe
nearestauthorizedservicecenter.Replacementpartsandwarrantylaborwillbeborneby
Rocstor.ForequipmentlocatedoutsideoftheUnitedStatesandCanada,Rocstor,Inc.only
coversfaultyparts.
Rocstorproductsrepairedorreplacedpursuanttothislimitedwarrantyshallbewarrantedfor
theunexpiredportionofthelimitedwarrantyapplyingtotheoriginalproduct.Thislimited
warrantyappliesonlytotheoriginalpurchaserwhomusthaveproperlyregisteredtheproduct
within10daysofpurchase.
CustomersinMexicomayobtainserviceunderthisLimitedWarrantyonlybydeliveringor
shippingtheproduct(withallshippingordeliverychargesprepaid)toanauthorizedservice
center.
