Rohloff PM Bone - PM Achsplatte
mit Scheibenbremsaufnahme nach
Post Mount Direkt Standard
Hierbei werden die Befestigungspunkte für den
Bremszylinder der PostMount Direkt Scheiben-
bremsaufnahme für die Drehmomentabstützung
mit dem PM Bone verwendet.
Folgende Montagefälle sind zu unterscheiden:
1. Montage an Rahmen mit PM Direkt
Scheibenbremsaufnahme an der
Sitzstrebe
2. Montage an Rahmen mit PM Direkt
Scheibenbremsaufnahme an der
Kettenstrebe
Die Rohloff PM Achsplatte ermöglicht in
Kombination mit dem PM Bone eine Montage an
135mm, 142mm, 170mm oder 177mm
Rahmen
.
3. Montage an Rahmen mit IS
Scheibenbremsaufnahme an der
Kettenstrebe.
Die Verwendung des PM Bone sowie der PM
Achsplatte ist nicht für den Tandemeinsatz
getestet und daher nicht dafür freigegeben!
Mögliche Kombinationen:
Rahmen PM Direkt 140 = Montage nicht möglich!
Rahmen PM Direkt 160 = Bremsscheibe 180mm
Rahmen PM Direkt 180 = Bremsscheibe 203mm
Rahmen PM Direkt 203 = Montage nicht möglich!
Bei nach unten offenen Ausfallenden, muss sich
derAbstützpunkt der PMAchsplatte am PM Bone,
hinter der gedachten Linie durch die
Achsschlitzverlängerung befinden, um ein
Herausdrehen der Achse aus dem Ausfallende
(Unfallgefahr) zu verhindern!
Einbaubedingungen PM Bone
Für die sichere Montage von PM Achsplatte und
PM Bone müssen folgende Bedingungen
eingehalten werden:
Die Rohloff PM Achsplatte muss am Rahmen, im
Bereich der Achsplatte (R20/ 40mm) plan
anliegen und darf nicht mit anderen
Rahmenteilen (z.B. Schweißnaht) kollidieren.
Nur dann ist eine störungsfreie Montage von PM
Achsplatte und PM Bone möglich.

An die Befestigungspunkte der IS Scheiben-
bremsaufnahme wird ein IS-PMAdapter montiert.
Auf diesen IS-PM Adapter kann dann der Rohloff
PM Bone (Art.Nr. 8555) geschraubt werden.
Mögliche Kombinationen:
Rahmen IS 160 + IS/PM Adapter 160 + PM Bone
= benötigte Bremsscheibe 180mm
Rahmen IS 180 + IS/PM Adapter 180 + PM Bone
= benötigte Bremsscheibe 203mm

Auf die Befestigungspunkte der Scheiben-
bremsaufnahme ist der Rohloff PM Bone (Art.Nr.
8555) zu montieren. Dieser wirkt wie ein
Adapter und verändert somit die erforderliche
Bremsscheibengröße auf einen größeren
Durchmesser.

Aufgrund unterschiedlicher Standards sowie
Fertigungstoleranzen für die Direkt PostMount
Befestigungspunkte, steht der Bolzen des PM
Bones unterschiedlich in der PM Achsplatte.
-Bei Rahmen 160 PM Direkt muß der Spalt
min. 0,3mm betragen (ev. U-Scheiben
verwenden)
-Bei Rahmen 180 PM Direkt darf der Spalt
max. 7mm betragen.
Sollte es Probleme bei der Montage o.g. Teile
geben, melden Sie sich bitte direkt beim Rohloff
Service.

Rohloff PM Bone & PM Axleplate
The Rohloff PM Axleplate in combination with the
PM Bone offers an alternative method of ancho-
ring the hub torque to frames with a 135mm,
142mm, 170mm or 177mm spacing.
The PMAxleplate/PM Bone combination is
recommended when mounting a SPEEDHUB in
all frames with an integrated Postmount direct
calliper mount. The threaded holes of the direct
calliper mount will be used to secure the PM Bone.
Three different mounting options are available:
1. Mounting to frames where the Postmount
(PM) direct brake caliper mount is located
on the seat-stay.
2. Mounting to frames where the Postmount
(PM) direct brake caliper mount is located
on the chain-stay.
3. Mounting on frames where an
International Standard (IS) brake caliper
mount is located on the Chainstay.
Neither the PM Bone nor PM axleplate are
authorized or tested for tandem use!
PMdirect 140mm = Not compatible!
PM direct 160mm = 180mm rotor required!
PM direct 180mm = 203mm rotor required!
PM direct 203mm = Not compatible!
Use of the PM Bone/PM axleplate is only
permitted in dropouts where the PM Bone
anchoring point falls behind an imaginary line
drawn through the dropout slot itself. The correct
location of the anchoring point is vital to ensure
the axle cannot lever itself out of the dropout and
thus to avoid potential accidents and injuries!
PM Bone - Mounting preconditions:
The axle area of the Rohloff PM Axleplate
must lie flush against the dropout material.
The axleplate may under no circumstances
collide with weld-beads or proud standing
frame tubes.
Safe use of the PM Bone/PM axleplate is only
possible if these two preconditions are
satisfied.

An IS/PM adapter is secured to the IS calliper
mount as usual. The Rohloff PM Bone
(Art.#8555) is then mounted to this and the calli-
per then bolted to the IS/PM adapter through the
PM Bone.
Possible combinations:
IS frame 160mm + IS/PM Adapter 160mm + PM
Bone = 180mm rotor required.
IS frame 180mm + IS/PM Adapter 180mm + PM
Bone = 203mm rotor required.

ATTENTION
The various different standards & production
tolerances of the Postmount caliper mount will
result in the PM Bone loacting peg resting at
different heights within the PM axleplate fork.
-Frames using a 160mm direct postmount
must result in a gap of min. 0.3mm between
the plate & bone (use spacers if necessary).
-Frames using a 180mm direct postmount
must result in a gap of max. 7mm between
the plate and bone.

contact du PM Bone avec le

Combinée au PM Bone, la plaque de l’axe PM
permet le montage du SPEEDHUB sur des
cadres à entraxe en 135, 142, 170 et 177 mm
lorsque ces derniers sont au standard de frein
Post Mount Direct Standard.
Les fixations de l’étrier sont utilisées pour fixer le
PM Bone sur lequel le contre-couple sera ancré.
On distinguera les 3 cas suivants:
1. Montage sur cadre avec la fixation PM sur
le hauban
2. Montage sur cadre avec la fixation PM sur
la base
3. Montage sur cadre avec la fixation
d ’étrier IS sur le hauban.
Le PM Bone et le plaque de l’axe PM n ’ont pas
l’agrément tandem!
Combinaisons possibles:
Cadre PM 140 = Montage impossible!
Cadre PM 160 => disque 180mm
Cadre PM 180 => disque 203mm
Cadre PM 203 = Montage impossible!
Sur les cadres à pattes verticales, le point
d’ancrage du PM Bone doit être placé à l ’arrière
d’une ligne verticale passant par l’axe de roue
(voir shéma). Par effet de levier, l’axe de roue
menacerait sinon de sortir de son logement.
Conditions de montage PM Bone + plaque de
l’axe CC/A12
La plaque de l’axe PM Rohloff doit reposer au
niveau de la patte de cadre sur une surface plane
(R20/40mm) et ne doit nulle part entrer en
collision avec une protubérance quelconque du
cadre.
Toute gêne perturbera la fonction du frein et le
parallélisme de la roue.

D’abord monter un adaptateur IS-PM sur les
points de fixation de l’étrier. Sur cet adaptateur,
monter ensuite le PM Bone Rohloff (art.8555).
Combinaisons possibles:
Cadre IS 160 + adaptateur IS/PM 160 + PM Bone
=> disque en 180 mm
Cadre IS 180 + adaptateur IS/PM 180 + PM Bone
=> disque en 203mm

Le PM Bone (art.8555) se fixe sur le cadre en
lieu et place d'un adaptateur PM . Il a pour
conséquence de réhausser l'étrier et de
nécessiter un plus gros disque: de 160 mm, il
passe à 180 mm et de 180 mm, il passe à 203
mm.

Le PM Bone ne doit avoir
aucune collision avec le
cadre!
PM 160 PM 180
En raison de fluctuations de standards et de
précisions de fabrication, le plot d’ancrage du
PM Bone est un peu flottant dans la gorge de la
plaque de l’axe PM.
-pour les cadres en PM 160, l'interstice
(schéma) doit être d’au moins 0,3 mm. Si ce
n’est pas le cas, insérez des entretoises.
-pour les cadres en PM 180, l'interstice
(schéma) doit être au plus de 7 mm.
En cas de difficulté lors du montage de ces
pièces, veuillez contacter le service Rohloff.

EN: Hold the drawing against the left hand side of the rear triangle of the bike frame. Make sure that the position of the rear axle on the
drawing matches the position of the rear axle on the frame.
Align the drawing so that the PM brake caliper mounting eyelets on the drawing are located directly over those of the frame. Position the
cable box in such a manner that it aligns with the corresponding angles/positioning arrows on the drawing in order to create the cleanest,
most direct cable routing possible. Now fasten the axleplate (3Nm) onto the SPEEDHUB with the cable box located in this correct position.

DE: Halten Sie dieAbbildung an die linke Rahmenseite des Fahrradhinterbaus. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Position der Hinterradachse auf
der Abbildung mit der tatsächlichen Position der Hinterradachse übereinstimmt. Richten Sie die Punkte der PM Befestigungslöcher auf der
Abbildung auf die Befestigungslöcher der Scheibenbremsaufnahme am Rahmen aus. Wählen Sie den Pfeil mit der entsprechenden
Gradzahl aus, der eine optimale Zugverlegung am Rahmen mit möglichst wenig Bögen gewährleistet. Montieren Sie nun die PMAchsplatte
an der SPEEDHUB so, dass die Seilbox genau in der gewünschten Stellung steht .(3Nm)

FR: L’orientation de la plaque de l’axe détermine l’angle de montage du boîtier de commande, à choisir en fonction du passage de câble (voir
notre manuel “montage”). Le schéma de droite va vous aider dans cette démarche. Ce schéma est grandeur nature: positionnez-le en le
superposant devant la patte gauche du cadre. Deux points sont à faire coïncider: l’axe de roue et le boulon d’appui. Il ne vous reste plus qu’à
choisir l’angle optimal (195°, 225°, 255°,ou 285°).
