Limit Position & Cut Down Position Initialize
Read this rst
This describes the procedure and important conditions for performing Limit Position & Cut
Down Position Initialize that must be met in order to enable maintenance of this machine.

About the Labels Affi xed to the Unit
These labels are affi xed to the body of this product.
The following  gure describes the location.
Caution: Moving Print Heads
The print heads inside the cover move
at high speed and pose a hazard. Never
insert the hand or  ngers into the gap.
Caution: Pinching Hazard
Be careful not to allow the  ngers to
become pinched when loading media or
closing covers.

Limit Position & Cut Down Position Initialize
This function may solve one of the following errors or problem by re-setting the Limit Position and Cut Down
Position.
- Service Call 0101, 0103, 0105, or 0106
- Scan Motor Error
- Separating knife doesn't go down when Sheet Cut Function is performed
Procedure
Turn on the Sub Power SW while pressing [ ], [ ] and
[ ] keys to enter the Limit Initialize mode.

Remove the Right Cover.
LIMIT INITIALIZE
MENU

3Gently move the Tool Carriage to right and connect the Tool Car-
riage and the Head Carriage.
Then keep moving the Head Carriage gently together with the
Tool Carriage and lock the Head Carriage.
Conrm that the Head Carriage is locked by pushing it lightly to
left and eliminate the looseness.
If the Head Carriage moves to left smoothly, the Head Carriage is
not locked. Please repeat the procedure again.

4Conrm that the head is capped properly, and press [ENTER] key.
The Tool Carriage will be separated from the Head Carriage and
the limit position initialize will start.
After initialize is completed, the message is displayed.
To be in the Cut Down condition, move the Tool Carriage with
your hand until it makes full contact with the Auto Cutter Frame.
Press [ENTER] key to perform the Cut Down Position Initialize.
After initialize is completed, the message is displayed.
