Handle Hold this handle to open and close the font cover gently.
Front cover Keep this cover closed except when necessary, such as when loading the object to be
printed on.
Status light When lit, the color of the light indicates the status of the machine.
Operaon panel The panel containing the buons used to operate the machine.
Panel cover Remove this when performing acons such as replacing the wipers and discarding the dis-
charged uid.
Print-head carriage The print heads are inside this carriage.

UV-LED device Shines the UV light used to cure the ink.
Drain bole Discharged uid is stored in this bole.
Head gap sensor Detects the height of the object to be printed on.
Flat table Table on which the object to be printed on is loaded.
Extension plate Suppresses UV light reecons.
Maintenance cover Remove this when performing acons such as cleaning the print heads.
UV screen
(LEF2-300 only)
Changes the UV light reecon direcon to prevent the UV light from reecng onto the
print heads.
Reected light suppression plate Suppresses UV light reecons.
Spacer table
(LEF2-300D only)
Used when prinng on objects with thickness up to 100 mm (3.9 in.).
CAUTION Excluding the top of the at table, do not place your hands on or touch the inside of the
product.
Doing so may cause burns.
CAUTION Do not place any objects on top of the extension plate or press on it with force.
Doing so may cause damage.
CAUTION Do not place any objects in front of or behind the at table.
The at table moves horizontally and vercally. If there is an object between the at table and the ma-
chine, it can be caught and cause the machine to malfuncon.
CAUTION If anything drops toward the back of the at table, turn o all power switches before
looking for the dropped object.
Otherwise sudden movement of the machine may cause injury.
IMPORTANT
Do not place anything near the reected light suppression plate. Doing so will eliminate the reected light suppression eect.

Power cable port Use this to connect the power cable.
Status LED This lights up green when the connecon to the network is normal.
Acvity LED This ashes yellow while data is being received from the network.
LAN cable connector Use this to connect the LAN cable.
Expansion terminal A This terminal can be used to connect the machine to an external deodorizer (the deodor-
izer is sold separately).
Expansion terminal B This terminal can be used to connect the machine to an external output device used by
the user.

Cover closed Cover open

Cover Keep the cover closed when the machine is not in use.
Sheet retaining cover This cover keeps the head cleaning sheet, used for head refreshing, in place.
Cleaning pad A total of eight cleaning pads are provided. These consumables should be replaced about
every six months.

IMPORTANT
Connue using the same head refresher with a single machine. Using a head refresher with mulple machines may lead to print head
malfuncons.
MEMO
When the head refresher is not in use, it can be put in the space on the le side of the machine. Do not place anything here other than
the head refresher, head cleaning sheet, and bole for head refreshing.
Point
When not using the spacer table with the LEF2-300D, aach the head refresher to the head refresher spacer, and then perform head
refreshing.

Cursor keys Use these keys to select sengs for menu
items, to move the object to be printed
on, and for other similar operaons.

Statuses Indicated by Status Light Color
The status light colors indicate the following statuses.
LED Status
O Setup has not been completed. Alternavely, an error that can be recovered from has occurred.
The error details are shown on the display screen of the operaon panel.
Green Prinng
Yellow Setup is complete and prinng can start. When ashing, prinng is paused.
Red An error that is prevenng the machine from connuing operang, such as a motor error or an abnormal temperature
inside the machine, has occurred.
The error details are shown on the display screen of the operaon panel.

The condions for objects to be printed on that can be set in the machine are shown below.

IMPORTANT
• Do not use objects to print on that are charged with stac electricity.
• This printer cannot print on all materials. When selecng the object to be printed on, be sure to carry out tesng in advance to
make sure that sasfactory print quality can be obtained.
• There is a limit to the variaon in the unevenness on the print surface.

• Depending on the type of object to print on and the installaon method, the height may not be set correctly. The machine may
malfuncon if prinng is performed when an incorrect installaon method is used or if prinng is performed on an inappropriate
material. Do not use objects to print on that match the status or material shown below.
Objects that easily become
loose
If the object to be printed on is not rmly
held in place, the head gap sensor cannot
detect the height correctly. Be sure to se-
cure the object to be printed on rmly in
place. If you are not able to use the sucon
funcon to hold the object to be printed on
in place and it becomes loose, you can use a
substance such as commercially available
adhesive tape to hold the object to be print-
ed on in place.
Objects made from so
material
If the object to be printed on is made from
so material, the pressure it applies on the
head gap sensor is too weak. This prevents
its height from being detected correctly.

Aach or remove the spacer table according to the thickness of the object to be printed on.
• Thickness of object to be printed on is 0 to 100 mm (0 to 3.94 in.): Aach
• Thickness of object to be printed on is 100 to 200 mm (3.94 to 7.87 in.): Remove
The spacer table does not have a sucon funcon. When using the spacer table, turn o the vacuum funcon in
the machine sengs.
Aaching the Spacer Table
CAUTION Sharp components
Take care to avoid injuries arising from touching the edges of the spacer table and other such sharp com-
ponents.
Procedure
1. Turn on the sub power.
2. Press [SETUP].
[SETUP] starts to ash.
3. Press [DOWN] and [▼] to move the at table to the lowest and frontmost (forward) posion.
4. Open the front cover.
5. Remove any installed posioning jigs.
6. Temporarily ghten the screws in the four locaons shown in the gure.
Make a space between the screw heads and the table of approximately 2 mm (78.7 mil) ( ).
7. Check the front and rear posions of the spacer table.
The side with a notch at the xing locaon is the rear side, and the side without a notch is the front side.
8. Hold the le and right sides of the spacer table, and place the spacer table in the posion shown in the gure.
