ATTENTION!
For additional safety protection of the power circuit, install-
ing a residual current device (RCD) with the tripping sensitiv-
ity below 30 mA is recommended. To install the RCD contact
an expert.
OPERATION AND SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
• Read this user manual thoroughly before using the unit. Keep
this manual for the entire usage period.
• Mishandling the unit can cause it to break, harm the user or
damage their property.
• Before switching the unit on make sure that the operating
voltage of the Coffee Machine corresponds to the mains
voltage.
• The power cord is equipped with a «Euro-plug»; use it with a
socket that has a reliable grounding connection.
• To avoid fire, do not use adapters for connecting the Coffee
Machine to the mains.
• Only use the Coffee Machine for its intended purpose.
• Do not use the unit outdoors.
• Never leave, or keep the Coffee Machine in places with the
temperature below 0°C.
• Place the Coffee Machine on a dry stable even surface; do not
place the unit on the edge of the table.
• Do not place the Coffee Machine on hot surfaces.
• Do not use the Coffee Machine near heat and moisture
sources or near open flame.
• Do not let the power cord hang from the edge of the table
and make sure it does not touch hot surfaces or sharp edges
of furniture.
• Be careful while handling hot water.
• To avoid electric shock, do not immerse the Coffee Machine,
its power cord or power plug into water or other liquids.
• Use only the accessories supplied.
• Do not switch the Coffee Machine on if it is empty.
• Use only clean cold water, water additionally cleansed through
domestic water filters is recommended.
• Before switching the Coffee Machine on, make sure that all
removable parts are installed properly.
• Never leave the Coffee Machine unattended when switched
on.
• Do not touch the power cord, the plug, or the Coffee Machine
body with wet hands.
• To avoid burns, do not touch hot surfaces of the Coffee
Machine (coffee spout, boiler) during coffee making or right
after switching the unit off.
• Let the unit cool down completely before cleaning it or remov-
ing the accessories.
• Do not remove the coffee spout or the brewing unit during
Coffee Machine operation.
• Unplug the Coffee Machine before cleaning or when you are
not using it.
• When unplugging the unit, pull the plug but not the cord.
• For children safety do not leave polyethylene bags used for
packaging unattended.
Attention! Do not allow children to play with polyethylene bags or
packaging film. Suffocation hazard!
• This unit is not intended for usage by children.
• Place the unit out of reach of children during operation and
cooling down.
• Do not allow children to touch the unit body or the power cord
during operation.
• The unit is not intended to be used by people with physical,
sensory or mental disabilities (including children) or by per-
sons lacking experience or knowledge if they are not under the
supervision of a person who is responsible for their safety or if
they are not instructed by this person on the usage of the unit.
• Do not leave children unattended to avoid them using the
unit as a toy.
• Do not use the unit if the Coffee Machine body, the power cord
or the power plug is damaged.
• If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the
manufacturer, a maintenance service, or similar qualified per-
sonnel to avoid danger.

• Do not repair the unit by yourself. Do not disassemble the
unit by yourself, if any malfunction is detected or after it was
dropped, unplug the unit and contact any authorized service
center from the contact addresses listed in the warranty cer-
tificate and on the website www.rondell.ru.
• Transport the unit in the original packaging only.
• Keep the unit in a cool dry place unreachable by children or
handicapped persons.
THIS UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
COMMERCIAL USAGE AND USAGE IN PRODUCTION AREAS
AND WORK SPACES IS PROHIBITED.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
After unit transportation or storage at low temperature
keep it for at least three hours at room temperature before
switching on.
– Take the Coffee Machine out of its packaging and remove the
packaging materials.
– Check the unit integrity; do not use the unit in case of dam-
age.
– Make sure that the operating voltage of the Coffee Machine
corresponds to the mains voltage.
– Before using the Coffee Machine for the first time, wash all
removable parts (1, 7, 9, 12) with warm water and neutral
detergent and dry them.
BEFORE USING THE UNIT
Before the first use
– Check to make sure that the brewing unit (9), used cof-
fee grounds container (12), and drip tray (7) are properly
installed.
– Fill the tank (1) with clean water.
– Add coffee beans (no less than 30 g) into the coffee beans
container (2) before the first use.
Notes: The container (2) is only intended for coffee beans, do
not add water, ground coffee, or coffee beans mixed with dense
particles to avoid damaging the coffee grinders.
Grinding degree adjustment
During grinder operation you can adjust the grinding degree for
coffee beans.
Turn the knob (3) counter-clockwise for more fine grind and a
stronger taste.
Turn the knob (3) clockwise for less fine grind and a softer taste.
Drip tray (7)
When the tray is fully filled, the float water level indicator (13) rises,
at which point the drip tray needs to be drained.
Brewing unit (9)
Keep the brewing unit closed and do not move it during coffee
making. If the words «No brewing unit» are showing on the dis-
play - remove the brewing unit and reinsert it so that you hear a
clicking sound.
Used coffee grounds container (12)
If the words «Full container, cleaning required» are showing on the
display - empty the container (12).
FUNCTIONALITY AND OPERATION
Switching the Coffee Machine on
Insert the power cable into the socket on the back side of the
panel and plug the unit into the mains.
Press the «Menu» button (17), the Machine will switch on, run self-di-
agnostics, heating up, and self-cleaning. Once the above processes
have been completed, the Machine will be ready for use and the LED
display (18) will show the words «Ready for use» (fig. 1).
MAKING ESPRESSO
To make the coffee/espresso/lungo/double espresso you want,
press one of the «Espresso» (14), «Lungo» (15), or «Double
Espresso» (16) buttons. A symbol (fig. 2) will appear on the
LED display (18).
Notes:
1. When a beverage is being prepared, this process can be
stopped at any point by pressing one of the buttons (14, 15, 16).
2. Preheat the cups you want to use, for that purpose place
the cups on the warming tray (4) - as the water is heating
up inside the boiler, the tray (4) will heat up as well, warm-
ing up the cups.
SETTING UP THE COFFEE MACHINE
Press the «Menu» (17) button to open the Coffee Machine set-
tings menu. The Menu (fig. 3) will appear on the LED-display (18).
Press the «Menu» (17) button to enter the menu, the «Espresso»
(14) button to return, the «Double Espresso» (16) button to move
the selection down, the «Lungo» (15) button to move the selection
up, and the «Menu» (17) button to confirm.
Language Settings
Enter the menu. Choose the «Languages» tab. Use the buttons
(15) and (16) to select the language and press the «Menu» (17)
button to confirm the selection.
Temperature control
Enter the menu. Select the «Temperature» tab. Use the control
buttons (15, 16) to select the temperature (fig. 4) and confirm the
selected temperature using the «Menu» button (17).

Preferences
Enter the menu. Select the «Programming» tab. The LED dis-
play will show the following coffee types: Espresso, Lungo, and
Double Espresso. Select the coffee type you want by pressing
the «Menu» button (17). The display will then show the follow-
ing: coffee volume in ml and dry coffee volume on a scale from
1 to 5 (fig. 5).
Set the desired volume of your coffee and the ground coffee
capacity and press the «Menu» button (17) to confirm.
Notes: the volume of the beverage can be set between 30 and
250 ml, the ground coffee volume can be set between level 1
and level 5.
Sound Notifications Settings
Enter the menu. Select the «Indication» tab (fig. 10).
Selecting «ON» on the Coffee Machine will turn on the sound indi-
cation, and pressing any button will produce a sound.
Using the «OFF» button on the Coffee Machine will turn on the
silent mode.
Confirm the sound indication by pressing the «Menu» button (17).
Water hardness
There are 3 degrees of water hardness to select from (fig. 9).
Enter the menu. Select the «Water hardness» tab and selected
the desired hardness. Use the «Menu» button (17) to confirm
your selection.
The Coffee Machine will notify you when descaling is required in
accordance with the selected hardness:
OFF: turn off the descaling notifications (not recommended);
Level 1: Descale after using 120 l of water;
Level 2: Descale after using 90 l of water;
Level 3: Descale after using 60 l of water;
Descaling
Descaling is a process of removing calcium carbonate (scales,
lime) residue from the heating elements of the Coffee Machine
by using chemical compounds. When the words «Add detergent»
(fig. 7) appear on the LED display (18) - enter the menu. Select
the «Descaling» tab and press the «Menu» button (17) to confirm
your selection.
Step 1
In order to start the descaling process, add the detergent and
water into the water tank (1), press the «Menu» button (17) to con-
firm. The words «Cleaning in progress» will appear on the display.
The pump will operate for 30 seconds, then it will stop for 3 min-
utes, and continue in this fashion for 11 cycles until the descaling
process is completed. The LED display (18) will show the words
«Replace water» (fig. 8).
Step 2
Replace the detergent in the water tank (1) with clean water and
press the «Menu» button (17) to confirm - the Coffee Machine
will start cleaning of its internal tube. The cleaning process will
be completed and will return to the main Menu once 1000 ml of
water has been pumped.
Factory settings
In order to restore the factory settings open the menu. Select the
«Factory settings» tab (fig. 11) and use the «Menu» button (17) to
confirm. The Coffee Machine will be reset to the factory settings.
Cups counter
Statistical function. Keeps the track of how many cups have been
made (fig. 12). To look up data on how much coffee has been
made by the Coffee Machine, enter the menu. Select the «Cups
counter» tab, use the «Menu» button (17) to confirm selection.
The LED display will show statistics on beverage types.
Administration Settings
Enter the menu. Select the «Administrator» tab, press the «Menu»
button and hold it down for 5 seconds - you will enter the
Administration Settings. These feature the following functions:
Calibration: users can perform dry ground coffee volume cali-
bration between -9 and +9 (fig. 13).
Drain water: this function will result in draining water from the
tank being heated up.
Use the «Menu» button (17) to confirm the settings selection.
Eco mode
Enter the menu. Select the «Eco mode» tab, press the «Menu»
button (17). Select the desired automatic shutdown delay from
the following options: 0.5, 2, 9 hours and shutdown after last
usage of the Coffee Machine. Use the «Menu» button (17) to con-
firm selection.
Fan Settings
Enter the menu. Select the «Venting» tab, press the «Menu»
button (17). Switch the mode on and off using the buttons (15)
and (16). Use the «Menu» button (17) to confirm selection. The
Manufacturer recommends to keep this function on for more even
steam distribution.
Coffee grinding degree adjustment
Coffee grinding degree can be adjusted during grinder operation.
Open the container (2) lid. Turn the grinding degree control knob
(3) (fig. 14). Turn the knob (3) counter-clockwise for more fine
grind and a stronger taste, or clockwise for less fine grind and
a softer taste.

Notes: After adjusting the grinding, the adjustment will persist
from the third cup of coffee onwards.
Warnings shown on the LED display
Insufficient water - add water to the tank (1) (fig. 15).
No brewing unit - make sure that the brewing unit (9) is posi-
tioned correctly and properly secured (fig. 16).
Used coffee grounds container - make sure that the used cof-
fee grounds container (12) is positioned correctly (fig. 17).
Close the compartment - close the side shutter of the brewing
unit (10) (fig. 18).
Insufficient coffee beans - add coffee beans into the coffee
beans container (2) (fig. 19).
Full container, cleaning required - empty the Container (12)
(fig. 20).
Clogged tube - switch the Coffee Machine off and make sure
that the water tank is full, then switch the Coffee Machine back
on. If the problem persists, contact the support hotline for pro-
fessional help (fig. 21).
No drip tray - make sure that the drip tray (7) is positioned cor-
rectly (fig. 22).
CLEANING
– Clean the Coffee Machine with a slightly moist, soft tissue,
then wipe it dry.
– Do not use metal brushes or abrasives to clean the Coffee
Machine.
– Do not immerse the power cord, power plug, or Coffee
Machine body into water or other liquids.
– Wash the removable parts of the Coffee Machine (1, 7, 9, 11,
12) with warm water and neutral detergent, rinse them and dry.
Brewing unit cleaning and maintenance
Perform cleaning of the brewing unit (9) no less than once every
two weeks.
Attention! Do not remove the brewing unit while the Machine
is switched on.
Unplug the Coffee Machine from the mains. Open the shutter (10)
on the side and remove the used coffee grounds container (12)
(fig. 23). Empty the container off the used coffee grounds and its
residue. Wash it and dry.
Gently pull the brewing unit (9) handle, while holding down the
plastic bump. Extract the brewing unit (fig. 24).
Do not use abrasives that can damage the brewing unit (9) to
clean it.
Immerse the Brewing Unit into water for 5 minutes and wash it
under a stream of water.
Use the cleaning brush to remove the remaining coffee residue
from the brewing unit.
Cleaning the brewing unit using cleaning tablets
If the words «Add tablets to clean the unit» appear on the display
(fig. 6), add the detergent through the ground coffee funnel (8),
and press the «Menu» button (17) to continue.
Drip tray and grate (7)
Remove the grate from the tray (7), remove the tray and drain it
off the water, wash the tray and install it back into its place, install
the grate over the tray (7).
Water tank (1)
Perform a regular cleaning of the water tank (1) (approximately 2
times per month) using a moist tissue and soft detergent.
STORAGE
– Before taking the unit away for storage, unplug it and let the
unit cool down completely.
– Perform a cleaning of the unit as described in the «Cleaning»
section.
– Do not leave or keep the Coffee Machine in places with tem-
perature below 0°C.
– Keep the unit in a dry cool place, unreachable by children or
handicapped persons.

RECYCLING
For environment protection do not throw out the unit and the bat-
teries (if included), do not discard the unit and the batteries with
usual household waste after the service life expiration; apply to
specialized centers for further recycling.
The waste generated during the disposal of the unit is subject
to mandatory collection and consequent disposal in the pre-
scribed manner.

For further information about recycling of this product apply to a
local municipal administration, a disposal service or to the shop
where you purchased this product.
The manufacturer preserves the right to change design, struc-
ture and specifications not affecting general principles of the
unit operation without a preliminary notification due to which
insignificant differences between the manual and product
may be observed. If the user reveals such differences, please
report them via e-mail [email protected] for receipt of an updated
manual.
