Introduction
RUNPOTEC appreciates your purchase of a GF3 - Glass Fiber Ø 3 mm.
These instructions for use provide information on safe use of your GF3
- Glass Fiber Ø 3 mm. Read the instructions for use thoroughly before
commissioning. If you have any questions about commissioning,
assembly, safety and applications, or problems, please contact your
dealer or RUNPOTEC. You will find our contact data on page 2.

Commissioning / meter counter
Easy and quick service access
On the back of the GF3 box, loosen the screw 9in the middle to be able to
remove the accessory box B. After removing you have easy access to the
fiberglass rod 10 for repair or replacement or for changing the battery Con
the back of the accessory box.

1Activate the display (meter counter): Briefl y press the reset button 6once.
2Caution! Measurement only takes place when the display is activated
(moving the fiberglass rod is not enough). The display is automatically
switched off after one minute of inactivity. Info: No manual switch-off
possible.
Set the meter counter to 0: Briefly press the reset button 6once.
3Meter (m)/Feet (ft) switch: Hold down the reset button 6for 4 seconds.
4Battery symbol: When the symbol lights up in the display, the battery on
the back of the accessory box Cneeds to be replaced. (button battery
CR 2032). If no symbol appears in the display, the battery voltage is OK.
Battery life is approximately 3 years with average use.
Measurement Accuracy: In order to ensure the correct functioning of the
meter counter, the accessory box Bmust be firmly fixed in the GF3 box
with the screw 9. After installing the accessory box, briefly press the reset
button 6once. Check measuring wheel for contamination and wear!
Measured value display – meters (m) / feet (ft):
0 – 99.99 m/ft 2 decimal places after the point
100.0 – 999.9 m/ft 1 decimal place after the point
Negative measured value possible (minus in front of the value)

Automatic glide back protection
Prevents the fi berglass rod with the guiding head incl. kink pro-
tection from slipping back into the GF3 box and thus always
being at hand. Repair etc.: press the glide back protection
4 to the left to be able to push the fi berglass rod with the
guiding head including kink protection into or out of the box.
