INTENDED USE
The belt sander is intended to be used only by adults who
have read and understood the instructions and warnings in
this manual, and can be considered responsible for their
actions.
The product is intended for sanding metal, wood, plastics,
or similar materials. The product should only be used in
well ventilated areas.
The product is designed for dry sanding only. Do not use
for wet sanding.
The product is intended for consumer use only.
Do not use the product for any other purpose. Use of the
product for operations different from intended could result
in a hazardous situation.
WARNING
Dust from certain paints, coatings, and materials may
cause irritation or allergic reactions to the respiratory
system. Dust from wood, such as oak, beech, MDF, and
others are carcinogenic. Materials containing asbestos

GENERAL WORKING STAND SAFETY WARNINGS

ŶThe term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your
mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated
(cordless) power tool.
ŶDisconnect the plug from the power source and/
or the battery pack from the power tool before
making any adjustments or changing accessories.
Accidental starting of the power tool is a cause of some
accidents.
BELT SANDER SAFETY WARNINGS
ŶAlways wear safety goggles and a dust mask.
ŶA suitable breathing respirator must be worn while
sanding lead paint, some woods and metal to avoid
breathing the harmful/toxic dust or air.
ŶThe product is not suitable for wet sanding.
ŶDo not use sanding belt larger than needed.
ŶClamp workpiece with a clamping device.
Unclamped workpieces can cause severe injury
and damage. Do not hold the material you are sanding
by hand.
ŶAmbient temperature range for tool during operation is
between 0°C and 40°C.
ŶAmbient temperature range for tool storage is between
0°C and 40°C.
ŶThe recommended ambient temperature range for the
charging system during charging is between 10°C and
38°C.

TRANSPORTING LITHIUM BATTERIES
Transport the battery in accordance with local and national
provisions and regulations.
Follow all special requirements on packaging and labelling
when transporting batteries by a third party. Ensure that
no batteries can come in contact with other batteries
or conductive materials while in transport by protecting
exposed connectors with insulating, non-conductive caps
or tape. Do not transport batteries that are cracked or
leaking. Check with the forwarding company for further
advice.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even when the product is used as prescribed, it is still
impossible to completely eliminate certain residual risk
factors. The following hazards may arise and the operator
should pay special attention to avoid the following:

particles will be produced. Use the dust collection
device or connect a dust extraction vacuum during
use. Wear respiratory protection masks containing
filters appropriate to the materials being worked.
Ensure adequate workplace ventilation. Do not
eat, drink, or smoke in the work area. Only operate
on materials which are specified in the Intended
use section. Do not operate on materials (e.g.,
asbestos) which present a health hazard.
ŶRisk of explosion
–Accumulated fine dust may ignite and cause fire.
Keep the work area clean and free from dust. Dust
collection and vacuum extraction systems should
be regularly and thoroughly cleaned. When sanding
metal, hot sparks may be produced.
ŶNoise and vibration
–Wear ear protection when operating the product.
Do not operate the product for extended periods of
time.
RISK REDUCTION
It has been reported that vibrations from handheld tools
may contribute to a condition called Raynaud’s Syndrome
in certain individuals. Symptoms may include tingling,
QXPEQHVVDQG EODQFKLQJRI WKH¿QJHUVXVXDOO\ DSSDUHQW
upon exposure to cold. Hereditary factors, exposure to
cold and dampness, diet, smoking, and work practices
are all thought to contribute to the development of these
symptoms. There are measures that can be taken by the
operator to possibly reduce the effects of vibration:
ŶKeep your body warm in cold weather. When operating
the product wear gloves to keep the hands and wrists
ZDUP,WLVUHSRUWHGWKDWFROGZHDWKHULVDPDMRUIDFWRU
contributing to Raynaud’s Syndrome.
ŶAfter each period of operation, exercise to increase
blood circulation.
ŶTake frequent work breaks. Limit the amount of
exposure per day.
If you experience any of the symptoms of this condition,
immediately discontinue use and see your doctor about
these symptoms.

OPERATION
ŶDo not operate the product without a properly tracked
and fitted belt. An incorrectly tracked belt may come off

ŶSecure the workpiece with a vice or clamp to a suitable
work bench. This helps to prevent the workpiece

ŶUse the supplied handles to hold and control the
product with both hands.
ŶDo not force the product. Use the correct product for
\RXU DSSOLFDWLRQ 7KH FRUUHFW SURGXFW ZLOO GR WKH MRE
better and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
ŶDo not apply excessive pressure to the product. Let the
weight of the product apply the correct pressure and use
your hands to guide the sander. Excessive pressure will
overload the product and damage the motor. Applying
more pressure will not remove more material and will
reduce sanding efficiency instead.
ŶChange the sanding belt often to maintain the product’s
ability to effectively remove material.
ŶStart the product using the trigger switch and allow the
belt to gain correct speed. Then lower the belt onto the
workpiece. Hold the product securely in both hands
because the movement of the belt will drive the product
forwards.
ŶChoose a belt of the correct size and appropriate
roughness for the task. Use belts with a lower grit
number for removing more material; higher grit number
for removing less material and for a finer finish. Replace
the belt if it becomes damaged, clogged with debris,
or is worn.
ŶIt is normal to sand and move the product back and
forth along the grain of the material. Sanding across
the grain will work but it results to a scratched and
damaged surface.

MAINTENANCE

RISQUES RESIDUELS

Une pression excessive surchargera le produit et
endommagera le moteur. Le fait d'appliquer une plus
forte pression n'enlèvera pas plus de matière et réduira
l'efficacité du ponçage, au contraire.
ŶChangez souvent la bande de ponçage pour que le
produit conserve son efficacité en termes d’enlèvement
de matière.
ŶDémarrez le produit à l'aide de la gâchette interrupteur
et laissez la bande atteindre une vitesse correcte.
Abaissez ensuite la bande sur l'élément à poncer.
Maintenez fermement le produit des deux mains car
le mouvement de la bande entraînera le produit vers
l'avant.
ŶChoisissez une bande de la bonne taille et à la
granularité adaptée au travail à effectuer. Utilisez un
grain grossier pour enlever plus de matière ; les grains
plus fins retirent moins de matière mais procurent une
meilleure finition. Remplacez la bande si elle devient
endommagée, usée, ou encrassée.
ŶIl est normal de poncer et d'effectuer des mouvements
d'avant en arrière dans le sens du grain du matériau.

Il prodotto è destinato alla levigatura di metallo, legno,
plastica o materiali simili. Il prodotto deve essere utilizzato
solo in zone ben ventilate.
Il prodotto è progettato solo per operazioni di levigatura a
secco. Non utilizzare il prodotto per operazioni di levigatura
ad umido.
Il prodotto è destinato esclusivamente all’uso da parte del

isolanti, non conduttivi o nastro adesivo. Non trasportare
batterie rotte o che perdono liquidi. Rivolgersi alla ditta
distributrice per ulteriori consigli.
RISCHI RESIDUI
Anche quando il prodotto viene utilizzato come indicato,
sarà ancora impossibile eliminare completamente alcuni

rischi e l’operatore dovrà prestare particolare attenzione
per evitare quanto segue:
ŶLesioni causate dalla polvere
–Durante l’utilizzo l’utensile produce una
considerevole quantità di polvere e particelle.
Utilizzare il dispositivo di raccolta o collegare un
aspiratore per l’estrazione della polvere quando si
mette in funzione il prodotto. Indossare maschere di
protezione contenenti filtri adeguati ai materiali che
si stanno manipolando. Assicurarsi una adeguata
ventilazione del luogo di lavoro. Non mangiare,
bere, né fumare nell’area di lavoro. Utilizzare solo
sui materiali che sono specificati nella sezione
dell’uso previsto. Non mettere in funzione su
materiali (per esempio amianto) che rappresentano
un rischio per la salute.
Ŷrischio di esplosione
–Polveri fini che si accumulano potranno accendersi
e causare incendi. Tenere l’area di lavoro pulita
e rimuovere dalla stessa la polvere. I sistemi
di raccolta polvere ed estrazione e aspirazione
devono essere regolarmente a attentamente puliti.
Quando si levigano metalli, si potranno produrre
scintille calde.
Ŷrumore e vibrazioni
–Indossare cuffie di protezione quando si mette
in funzione il prodotto. Non mettere in funzione il
prodotto per lunghi periodi di tempo.
RIDUZIONE DEL RISCHIO
E’ stato fatto presente che le vibrazioni da utensili a
mano potrebbero contribuire a una condizione chiamata
Sindrome di Raynaud in alcuni individui. I sintomi,
comprendenti formicolio, intorpidimento e perdita di colore

Fattori ereditari, esposizione a freddo e umidità, una dieta
scorretta, fumo e condizioni di lavoro non sicure potranno
contribuire allo sviluppo di questi sintomi. é possibile
prendere delle precauzioni per ridurre le vibrazioni:
ŶTenere il corpo al caldo a basse temperature. Quando
si utilizza l’utensile, indossare guanti e tenere le mani
e i polsi caldi. Le basse temperature contribuiscono a
causare la Sindrome di Raynaud.
ŶDopo aver utilizzato l’utensile per un certo periodo, fare
degli esercizi per stimolare la circolazione del sangue.
ŶFare spesso delle pause. Limitare la quantità di
esposizione giornaliera.
Nel caso in cui si provino i sintomi di questa condizione,
interrompere immediatamente l’utilizzo dell’utensile e
consultare un dottore.
AVVERTENZE
L'utilizzo prolungato dell'utensile potrà causare o
aggravare lesioni già esistenti. Quando si utilizza questo
utensile per periodi di tempo prolungati, assicurarsi di
fare sempre delle pause regolari.
FUNZIONAMENTO
ŶNon mettere in funzione il prodotto senza una cinghia
accuratamente inserita e montata. Una cinghia
incorrettamente montata potrà fuoriuscire dal prodotto
e causare lesioni personali o danni alla levigatrice.
ŶAssicurare il pezzo sul quale si sta lavorando con
ganasce o morsetti a un tavolo di lavoro idoneo.
Ciò aiuterà ad evitare che l'oggetto sul quale si sta
lavorando diventi un proiettile.
ŶUtilizzare i manici forniti per reggere e controllare il
prodotto con entrambe le mani.
ŶNon forzare il prodotto. Utilizzare il prodotto corretto
per il lavoro da svolgere. Il prodotto corretto svolgerà
il lavoro in modo migliore e in maniera più sicura se lo
si utilizza alla potenza di utilizzo per la quale è stato
progettato.
ŶNon applicare una pressione eccessiva sul prodotto.
Lasciare che il peso del prodotto applichi la corretta
pressione e utilizzare le mani per guidare la levigatrice.
Una pressione eccessiva sovraccaricherà il prodotto e
danneggerà il motore. Applicare ulteriore pressione non
permetterà di rimuovere ulteriore materiale e ridurrà
invece l'efficienza di levigatura.
ŶCambiare la cinghia di levigatura spesso per mantenere
la capacità del prodotto di rimuovere materiale in
maniera efficace.
ŶAvviare il prodotto utilizzando l'interruttore a grilletto
e permettendo alla cinghia di raggiungere la corretta
velocità. Abbassare quindi la cinghia sul pezzo sul
quale si sta lavorando. Reggere il prodotto con
entrambe le mani dal momento che il movimento della
cinghia guiderà il prodotto in avanti.
ŶScegliere una cinghia delle dimensioni corrette e della
consistenza idonea al compito da svolgere. Utilizzare
le cinghie con un numero di grana più basso per
rimuovere ulteriore materiale; cinghie con un numero
di grana più alto per rimuovere meno materiale e per
una rifinitura più precisa. Sostituire la cinghia se si
danneggia, si blocca a causa di detriti o si consuma.
ŶE' normale levigare e spostare il prodotto avanti
e indietro seguendo il senso della fibra. Levigare
seguendo il senso di fibra funzionerà ma risulterà in
superfici graffiate e rovinate.
