Introduction
Thank you for purchasing our product, “I.V. Trainer with Indicator.”
Read this user’s manual carefully in order to use the product for a long time
appropriately.
This product is closely checked before factory shipment. However, when
this product arrives, open it soon, and check if anything on the main unit
and accessories are missing or broken.

Purpose
The following training (evaluation) can be performed.
1) Intravenous injection training
2) Blood sampling training

Cautions on Use
1) Be careful that the connector in the middle of the tube does not disconnect
accidentally during use.
2) Use new needle tips when performing injection training with this product.
Otherwise, it may cause the skin to deteriorate.
3) If there are frequent blood vessel leaks and/or the deteriorating condition is severe,
replace the blood vessel with a new one.
4) Never inject the needle in an upright direction nor use excessive force that may
pierce all the way through. Doing so is extremely dangerous.
5) When using this product for training purposes, conduct the training in pairs with one
person playing the role of the patient and wearing this product.
6) Be careful not to get the top of the pump and mechanical parts wet.
7) If a defect or problem with the product is discovered during use, stop using the
product immediately and contact Sakamoto Model.
8) This product is a simulator capable of supporting advanced medical training.
However, Sakamoto Model does not guarantee the same results during actual
treatment.
9) Please note that the specifications of this product may be changed without prior
notice in order to make improvements to the product.

Instructions for Use
1) Take out the training kit, and place it on a table with a non-slick surface for training.
2) Get some water ready.
3) Open the top of the pump and fill it up to the line with water.
(Always perform these steps before Step 4.)
4) Connect the cable and the tubes that come out of the skin pieces to the pump.
5) Open the pump cover, and insert the 4 AA size alkaline batteries.
6) Turn on the switches located on the sides of the pump.
7) Begin training.
8) Attach the belt to the Velcro strip on the back of the skin pieces, and fit it onto the arm of the person
playing the patient in order to practice training.
9) Refer to the storage instructions for putting this product away.
Blood Vessel Exchange Procedure
First, perform steps 1 through 5 in the “Storage Instructions” before replacement, and then
perform the following.
1) Open the skin set, and disconnect the 4 locations
noted in the diagram. Then, attach following the
same procedure when attaching a new blood
vessel.

Storage Instructions
1) Turn the switch off.
2) Close the white clasp.
3) Disconnect the LAN cable and the 2 tubes that are
attached to the pump.
4) Discharge the water that is inside the pump.
5) Open the white clasp to discharge the water that is
inside the tube.
6) Even though the product is not exposed to direct
sunlight when stored, the remaining water should
evaporate naturally.
7) Remove the batteries and store each part.
8) Avoid storing the product in direct sunlight or in
locations with high temperature and humidity.
