hold the needle protector at its
back end with your thumb on top
and your forefinger below and
withdraw the Safety-Multifly®
from the vein.
When collection is complete,
Affix the tubing by pressing
it slightly against the palm of
your hand...
...and push the needle
protector over the needle...
...until the needle protector
locks into place with a distinctly
noticeable and audible ”click”.

Affix the tubing by pressing it slightly against the palm of your hand! ¥
After activating the protective mechanism,
discard the safely locked Safety-Multifly®needle
in a disposal box.

After blood collection

Remove the last S-Monovette®from the
Safety-Needle and then withdraw the
Safety-Needle from the vein.
Hold the Safety-Needle at the adapter and,
on a flat surface, push it downwards until the
needle locks into the needle protector with a
distinctly noticeable and audible ”click”.

Discard the safely locked Safety-Needle
in a disposal box.

Alternatively to Fig. 2a, you can also activate the
needle protector using your index finger.
For safe operation, make sure to press against
the lower end of the protection device.
