Stand-Alone Filtration
1. Unpack the filtration device.
For bottle top filters (Sartolab®
BT), screwthe funnel onto a
bottle with a 45 mm neck.
Unpack the tube connector
and attach it to theyellow
vacuum adapter. Connect
the tube connectorto the
vacuum tube of the vacuum
source.
2. Remove the lid and pour the
sample into the funnel.
3. Place the lid backon.
Apply vacuum to start
filtration.
4. To end filtration, turn off
the vacuum source and
detach the tubing from
the connector.
5. To detach the bottle, grasp
the funnel at the top and
unscrew it, alongwith the
yellow adapter, then lift it off
the bottle.
Discard the funnel and the lid
in accordance with your local
legal regulations forwaste
disposal.
6. For vacuum filtration units
(Sartolab®RF), unpack the
sterile screw cap and securely
close the bottle for storage.
For bottle top filters
(Sartolab®BT), close the
bottle with an appropriate
screw cap.

1. Unpack the filtration device.
For bottle top filters (Sartolab®
BT), screwthe funnel onto a
bottle with a 45 mm neck.
Insert the vacuum filtration
unit horizontally into the
bracket (to first notch) of
the MultiStation.
2. Remove the lid and pour the
sample to be filtered into the
funnel.
3. Place the lid backon and
push the filtration unit to
the second notch.
This automatically starts
filtration when vacuum is
applied to the MultiStation.
4. To end filtration, gentlysqueeze
the release tabs to move the
vacuum filtration unit from the
second notch up to the first
notch and disengage the
vacuum source from the device.
To remove the vacuum
filtration unit from the
MultiStation, squeeze the
release tabs and pull the
vacuum filtration unit away
from the first notch, sliding
it off the bracket.
5. To detach the bottle, grasp
the funnel and unscrew it,
along with the yellow adapter,
then lift it off the bottle.
Discard the funnel and the lid
in accordance with your local
legal regulations forwaste
disposal.
6. For vacuum filtration units
(Sartolab®RF), unpack the
sterile screw cap and securely
close the bottle for storage.
For bottle top filters
(Sartolab®BT), close the
bottle with an appropriate
screw cap.
