Drip-Proof Digital Thermometer Model PC-9225
Thank you for purchasing the drip-Proof Digital Thermometer Model PC-9225.
- This product is designed to measure temperature. Do not use it for other
purposes.
- Read this manual thoroughly before using the PC-9225 and keep it in a safe
place for your future references.

How to use
1. Press ON/OFF key. All characters light, then the temperature value (C°) is
displayed and the power is on. To turn the power off, press this key again.
* A protection sheet is put on the LCD before shipment.
2. Press MAX/MIN key while the power is ON. Minimum and Maximum
temperature values are displayed alternately.
3. Press HOLD key to hold the temperature reading. At this time, “HOLD”is
blinking in the display. Press this key again to release the hold function and
return to the measurement mode.
4. The power is turned off automatically approx. 60 min. after the power was
turned on.
NB.: This Auto Power-off function cannot be released.
For accurate measurement, insert the sensing stem into the object 50mm deep
from the tip.
How to replace the battery
Caution: Be careful the pointed end of the sensing stem
when you replace the battery.
When the display becomes dim, immediately replace the battery to new one.
①Open the battery lid with a coin or like and remove the exhausted battery.
②Load a new button cell battery (LR44) with polarity (+) upward.
Be sure to check the polarity (+) (-) of the battery.
③Close the battery lid.
* The battery life may be shorter since the battery installed is used for
monitoring
Warnings
Do not solder, short-circuit, disassemble, heat or fire a battery. Doing so may
cause an exothermic heat, a leakage of battery fluid or an explosion.
If the leaked fluid is spilt on your clothes or your skin, wash it off with water
and if it gets into your eyes, wash it off with clean water and seek a medical
attention immediately.
Do not dispose used batteries in fire.
Battery poses a danger of suffocation or poisoning if swallowed. Keep
battery out of reach of children.
When the battery is not in use, insulate the terminals with tape to prevent
contact with other metal objects or batteries. Otherwise, a short circuit may
occur and cause a fire or explosion.
For environmental conservation, dispose used batteries in compliance with
local rules and regulations.

Cautions in use
After measurement, sheath the sensing stem with the attached case.
At sheathing, make sure to confirm that the temperature of sensing stem is
lower than 50°C.
Use the instrument in the ambient of 0 to 50°C.
Do not bend or snap the sensor. Do not drop or give a shock to it.
Be sure to insert the sensing stem into the object 50mm deep from the tip at
the measurement of water, liquid and like.
Do not clean the instrument with alcohol, thinner or any other solvents. Use
a clean cloth moistened with warm, neutral detergent water.
Never dissemble or alter the instrument.
This is not waterproof construction.
