1 Preparation
Before using the thickness gauge, check the cleanliness of the measuring surface and the
measuring pin. If necessary, clean with a dry, lint-free cloth.
2 Setup
The measuring pin with the upper measuring insert is pressed onto the lower measuring
insert and held in this position or locked with the locking screw.
By pressing the key „OFF / ON“, the measuring instrument is switched on and with the key
„0“ the zero point is adjusted.
With the function key „mm / inch“ you can select the desired scaling.
3 Measuring
The thickness gauge is ergonomically designed and allows a precise and fast measuring
with one hand.
The entire measuring range is available because the movable measuring pin is constantly
guided by spring force in the upper position.
During the measuring process, the material to be measured is scanned by the measuring
inserts.
By means of a finger, the measuring pin is carefully pressed onto the test material and the
measured value is determined.
The function key „0“ allows to set the zero point at any point in the measurement
range. This allows very fast measurements to deviations from given
Tolerances etc. are performed.
The thickness gauge can be switched of by pressing the ON / OFF key.

4 Notes to maintenance
The thickness gauge should be kept dry all the time. Water and other liquids should be kept
away as they endanger the electronics.
The device should not be cleaned with acetone.
Battery replacement is carried out as follows:
1. Open battery compartment in direction of the arrow, remove the lid
2. Replace the old battery, altough paying attention to the correct position of the poles.
Insert the new battery.
3. Insert the battery cover and push toward.
