Arming & Disarming the System
Arming (Turning on)
Close all sensors (i.e. close doors and windows). All ome screen icons s ould ave a green c eck-mark.
Arm t e system using t e met od below:
T e option labeled (STAY) is for arming w en you or anot er person
will be staying or sleeping in t e building.
ARM ALL is w at you want w en leaving t e building empty.
Hig lig ting OFF for “Entry delay” will c ange every sensor into an
instant alarm; only use t is w en fully comfortable wit t e system.
Hig lig ting ON for “Silent exit” disables t e arming beeps; t is is good to use w en arming to (STAY)
Disarming – Off Press t e closed padlock to DISARM display s ows Enter Access Code
T en, enter your code.
(At times, you will be able to enter your code straig t away.)
Bypassing Zones
Use t e zone bypassing feature w en you want to arm t e system, but skip a zone t at you want to
leave open or requires service. Bypassed zones will not sound an alarm.
Method 1
T e easiest way to bypass sensors is by aving t em open before beginning to arm.
t at appears for eac sensor you ad open at t e time of arming.
W en t e system is next disarmed, t e bypass is automatically undone.
Method 2
After pressing t e (gear) icon to access t e menu, t ere is an option for Direct Bypass
If your system as already been armed, you will be prompted to Enter Code
Doing so displays a screen t at lists all armed sensors and as buttons for Bypassing t em.
Before Calling…
♦ Is the keypad beeping? Touch the (gear) icon.
Pressing will let you know where the trouble is.
Pressing CLEA afterwards will remove Memories and stop all beeping.
If the (alert) icon disappears, the problem is gone.
♦ Is the siren going off? Press screen to DISARM and ENTER CODE

Access Codes
Master Access Code
T e master code is t e only code t at can add and delete ot er user codes and perform ot er various
functions (suc as entering date and time) on t e alarm system. T e master code can be c anged,
but cannot be deleted.
To change the Master Access Code
1. Press (gear) to enter t e System Menu.
2. Scroll down to System Programming and press ENTER.
3. T e panel will display Enter Code.
4. Enter t e master code and press OK.
5. Find t e button labeled Access Codes and press it.
6. Touc t e screen w ere t e current Master Code is displayed.
7. T is will bring up a keypad to enter a new 4-digit code.
8. Enter t e new code you wis to use and press Save.
9. Press Close until you return to t e ome screen.
User Access Codes
T e system will allow up to eig t individual user codes. As codes are added and deleted, keep a list
in a safe location for reference. An accurate list will elp track codes as future c anges are made.
To Add or Change a User Access Code
1. Press (gear) to enter t e System Menu.
2. Scroll down to System Programming and press ENTER.
3. T e panel will display Enter Code.
4. Enter t e master code and press OK.
5. Find t e button labeled Access Codes and press it.
6. Touc t e w ite space next to t e user number you would like to add.
7. T is will bring up a kaypad to enter a new 4-digit code.
8. Enter t e new code you wis to use and press Save.
9. Press Close until you return to t e ome screen.
To Delete a User Access Code
A user code can be deleted by pressing Delete t en Save w ile t e code is being edited.
Time Programming (System Clock)
1. Press (gear) to enter t e System Menu.
2. Scroll down to t e Set Time and Date option.
3. Press ENTER.
4. T e display will s ow Enter Code.
5. Enter t e master code and press OK.
6. Press any w ite box wit incorrect information.
7. T is will bring up a numberpad to enter correct info.
8. Use t e up/down arrows or numbers to fix and press Save.
9. a.m. and p.m. toggles wit every press.
10. Repeat until all info is correct..
11. Scroll up/down to set AM/PM.
12. Press Close until you return to t e ome screen.

Icon
Touc and old PANIC button (cross) for 2 seconds. Keypad will start beeping. If monitored,
Emergency medical service will be sent. Enter code to stop siren w en emergency is over.
Touc and old POLICE button (badge) for 2 seconds. Siren will sound. If monitored, emergency
Police service will be sent. Enter code to stop siren w en emergency is over.
Touc and old FIRE button (flame) for 2 seconds. Siren will sound. If monitored, emergency fire service
will be sent. Enter code to stop siren w en emergency is over.
Chime Mode
Your system can alert you to t e opening of a door w ile it is disarmed by using t e C ime feature.
W en activated, two beeps will sound at t e keypad w enever a door or window is opened.
1. To enable or disable t e C ime feature, first press t e (gear) icon.
2. T e C ime option s ould be displayed on t e bottom of t e screen..
3. Hig lig t t e option you want by pressing it. It will turn gold. T en you can press Close.
Voice/Beep Volume & Brightness
1. Press (gear) to enter t e System Menu.
2. Scroll down two screens to find t e Voice and Beep Volume options.
3. Left arrows decrease t e volume and rig t arrows increase.
4. Scroll down one more screen to find t e Brig tness settings.
5. Left makes t e screen dimmer w ile rig t makes it brig ter.
6. If you would like t e screen to turn completely black w en at rest:
C oose Blank instead of Main for t e Default Screen setting.
7. Press Close to exit.
Battery Replacement
1. Unplug t e unit’s transformer from your wall outlet.
3. Using a small P illips screwdriver, remove t e small screws t at are now revealed on t e top side.
4. Depress t e 2 small tabs on top of t e console, and pull towards you to open.
5. W ile letting t e face ang down, remove t e wire clip t at plugs t e battery in.
6. Remove t e battery carefully from it’s plastic clip, replace, and plug in new wire clip.
7. Replace screws and faceplate cover.
8. Plug unit back into outlet.
9. Press t e (gear) icon and Listen to ear if t e trouble as Cleared.
T is button in t e top-left of your screen is for a quick response to emergency situations.
Pressing it brings up a screen w ere you c oose w at kind of dispatc to request.

Trouble Conditions
W en a trouble condition is detected, five rapid beeps will sound every minute until t e problem is
resolved. Press t e (gear) icon and LISTEN to ear t e problem and silence t e beeps. T ey may
resume after four ours unless t e problem as been corrected.
AC Power
Failure:
T is occurs if your system as been accidentally unplugged or t ere is a
power outage in your area. T e screen goes dim and trouble beeps will
begin to sound after 5 minutes. If t e AC Power is not restored wit in t e
programmed period of time, t e panel will dial t e Central Station. T e backup
battery s ould last anyw ere from 18 to 24 ours wit no AC Power.
System Low
Battery
T e emergency backup battery in t e control panel is low and must be
rec arged or replaced. If AC power is out, t e security system will s ut down
once t e battery is below t e operating level. W en AC power is restored, t e
panel s ould rec arge t e battery. If t e low battery condition exists more
t an 24 ours after AC power is restored, t e battery is too old to fully c arge
and must be replaced. If t e low battery is not related to a power outage,
t en t e battery needs to be replaced. Batteries are available at Schmidt
Security Pro or call for service.
Restoration of
Power
T is condition occurs after a complete loss of power (AC and battery). W en
power is restored, t e panel will return to t e arming state wit t e same
zones bypassed it ad prior to losing power.
Sensor Failure T is condition occurs if a sensor is not communicating wit t e panel. Trouble
beeps start and t e icon will appear. Press t en Listen and Clear.
T e voice announces w at sensors ave failed. Perform sensor tests. You
may need to call Schmidt Security Pro for assistance if t e problem continues.
Sensor Low
Battery
Fail-to-
Communicate
T e system can’t communicate wit t e monitoring company. T e system
tries to send a report 3 times before indicating P one Failure Trouble, t en
makes 5 more reporting attempts. If your p ones are not working, wait for
p one service to return and press t en Listen and Clear to silence beeps.
If your p ones are working, call Schmidt Security Pro for service.
Sensor Open T is condition occurs if a door or window is open or a system sensor as
been disturbed and not reset properly. For example, a door/window sensor
magnet may ave been removed from t e sensor. Your system will indicate
t is condition to you using t e Home Screen status icons. W en you press on
Any of t e red status icons, t e display s ows, for example, Sn 1 Front Door
Open. Correct t e problem by resetting t e sensor. If t is condition continues,
call Schmidt Security Pro for service.
Sensor Tamper T is condition occurs w en a sensor is p ysically tampered wit , for example,
t e cover is taken off of one of t e sensors. If t e system is armed an alarm
will occur. Your system ill indicate t is condition to you t roug t e ome
Screen icons. Trouble beeps will start. Press t e any of t e red icons
and t e display will s ow Sen # Name Tampered. Correct t e problem by
resetting t e sensor. If t e condition continues, call Schmidt Security Pro for
service.
Clearing Status Some types of status conditions, suc as alarm istory, must be cleared
manually. To clear system status, first press t e (gear) icon, press to
Listen to t e status messages, t en press Clear. If t e trouble condition
was a low system battery, perform a sensor test. T e (alert) icon s ould
disappear if all trouble conditions ave been corrected.
A sensor has a low battery. Make sure the system is disarmed and replace
the battery. Refer to the information packet provided at installation or visit
www.schmidtsecurity.com for replacement instructions. Call Schmidt Security
Pro if service is required.
