1.2 Conventional use
The compressor is designed for generating
and storing compressed air only. Com-
pressed air is only suitable for compressed
air tools/devices/machines.
Any other type of use is considered contrary
to the intended use.
The compressor must not be used in poten-
tially explosive areas. Combustible, caustic
or toxic gases must not be sucked in!

1.5.1 Clean the silencer insert
1. Unscrew silencer cover.
2. Pull out silencer insert and clean in soapy
water (max. 50°C).
3. Slide insert into position, screw on si-
lencer cover.
L If the insert can no longer be cleaned
properly, replace the complete silencer
unit.
1.5.2 Checking, setting and adjusting
the V-belt tension
Checking V-belt tension:
See instruction manual, part 2.
Setting/Adjusting V-belt tension:
1. Slacken counternut and remove.
2. Slacken second nut and slide drive motor
towards power unit. (Fig. 7b)
3. Remove old V-belt and replace with new
V-belt.
4. Tighten nut until V-belt tension is cor-
rect.
5. Lock counternut.
6. Attach the belt guard grating again using
the mounting plugs.
1.6 Vessel inspections
Compressor with type test: Inspection re-
quired prior to commissioning by "qual-
ified person".

We recommend that a "qualified person" per-
form a pressure test on the vessel, depend-
ing on its rate of utilisation, after 10 years in
accordance with the Ordinance on Industrial
Safety and Health. Contact any of our service
partners.
L It is essential to retain vessel documents
included in the delivery (= certification
documents) and inspection documents for
the entire service life of the vessel. The
statutory specified inspections must be
arranged in accordance with the applica-
ble regulations of the respective country
in which the vessel is used.

1.2 Consignes d'utilisation
Le compresseur convient exclusivement pour
la production et l'accumulation d'air compri-
mé. L'air comprimé convient uniquement
pour les outils / appareils / machines à air
comprimé.
Toute autre utilisation est détournée de sa
destination première.
Le compresseur ne doit pas être utilisé dans
des zones explosibles. Les gaz inflammables,
irritants ou toxiques ne doivent pas être
aspirés !

1.5.1 Nettoyer la cartouche du silen-
cieux
1. Dévisser le couvercle du silencieux.
2. Retirer la cartouche du silencieux et la
nettoyer dans une solution savonneuse
(50 °C max.).
3. Remettre la cartouche et revisser le cou-
vercle du silencieux.
L S'il devient impossible de nettoyer la car-
touche, remplacer le silencieux dans son
ensemble.
1.5.2 Contrôler, régler la tension de la
courroie, changer la courroie
Vérifier la tension de la courroie
trapézoïdale :
Voir le mode d'emploi section 2.
Régler la tension/remplacer la courroie
trapézoïdale :
1. Dévisser et retirer le contre-écrou.
2. Dévisser le deuxième écrou et pousser le
moteur d'entraînement vers le groupe.
(Figure 7b)
3. Retirer l'ancienne courroie trapézoïdale
et positionner la courroie neuve.
4. Serrer l'écrou jusqu'à ce que la tension
de la courroie trapézoïdale soit correcte.
5. Bloquer l'ensemble avec le contre-écrou.
6. Remettre la grille protectrice de la cour-
roie et les bouchons de fixation.
1.6 Contrôles de la cuve
Compresseur avec contrôle d'homologation
de type : un contrôle avant la mise en
service par une "personne autorisée"
est nécessaire.
Marquage du type de construction : voir la
plaque signalétique du compresseur
Selon sa sollicitation, nous recommandons
après une période de 10 ans de soumettre la
cuve à un contrôle de pression par une "per-
sonne qualifiée" selon le texte allemand "Be-

1.2 Uso previsto
El compresor ha sido diseñado exclusiva-
mente para generar y almacenar aire com-
primido. El aire comprimido solamente es
apto para herramientas, aparatos o máqui-
nas neumáticas.
Cualquier otro uso se considera inadecuado.
El compresor no se debe utilizar en entornos
potencialmente explosivos. En ningún caso
se deben aspirar gases inflamables, corrosi-
vos o tóxicos.

1.5.1 Limpieza del inserto silenciador
1. Desenroscar la tapa del silenciador.
2. Extraer el inserto y limpiarlo en lejía ja-
bonosa (máx. 50 °C).
3. Volver a colocar el inserto y enroscar la
tapa.
L Cuando ya no sea posible limpiar el inser-
to, se deberá sustituir todo el silenciador.
1.5.2 Comprobación, ajuste y cambio
de la tensión de la correa trape-
zoidal
Comprobación de la tensión:
Véase el manual de instrucciones, parte 2.
Ajuste/cambio de la tensión:
1. Desenroscar la contratuerca y sacarla.
2. Desenroscar la segunda tuerca y despla-
zar el motor en dirección al grupo.
(Fig. 7b)
3. Sacar la correa trapezoidal antigua y co-
locar una nueva.
4. Apretar la tuerca hasta que la correa esté
correctamente tensada.
5. Asegurar con la contratuerca.
6. Colocar de nuevo la rejilla protectora de
la correa y fijarla con los tapones.
1.6 Comprobaciones en el depó-
sito
Compresor con comprobación de modelo
constructivo:
se requiere que una "perso-
na capacitada" compruebe el compresor
antes de la puesta en servicio.
Identificación del modelo constructivo: véa-
se la placa de tipo del compresor
Recomendación: después de 10 años, encar-
gar a una "persona capacitada" que realice
una comprobación de la presión según la
normativa sobre seguridad de funcionamien-
to (BetrSichV). Póngase en contacto con
nuestros concesionarios de servicio asocia-
dos.
L Es obligatorio conservar la documentación
relativa al depósito (= documentos de ho-
mologación) y los certificados de ensayo
los durante toda su vida útil. Las compro-
baciones obligatorias por ley se deben or-

1.2 Toepassing conform de bepa-
lingen
De compressor is uitsluitend bestemd voor
de opwekking en opslag van perslucht. De
perslucht is alleen geschikt voor persluchtge-
reedschap/-apparatuur/-machines.
Ieder ander gebruik is oneigelijk.
De compressor mag niet in explosiegevaar-
lijke zones worden gebruikt. Brandbare, bij-
tende of giftige gassen mogen niet worden
aangezogen!

1.5.1 Geluiddemperinzet reinigen
1. Geluiddemperdeksel er op schroeven.
2. Geluiddemperinzet er uit trekken en in
zeepsop (max. 50°C) reinigen.
3. Inzetstuk er in schuiven, geluiddemper-
deksel er op schroeven.
L Wanneer de inzet niet langer gereinigd
kan worden, de volledige geluidsdemper
vervangen.

1. Contramoer losdraaien en verwijderen.
2. Tweede moer losdraaien en aandrijfmo-
tor in de richting van het aggregaat
schuiven. (afbeelding 7b)
3. Oude V-snaar verwijderen en nieuwe V-
snaar plaatsen.
4. Moeren aandraaien tot de juiste V-snaar-
spanning is bereikt.
5. Met contramoer borgen.
6. Riembeschermrooster weer met de be-
vestigingsstop aanbrengen.
1.6 Keuringen van de tank
Compressor met typeonderzoek: Keuring
vóór inbedrijfstelling door een "be-
voegd persoon" is vereist.
Typeaanduiding: zie compressor-typeplaatje
Aanbeveling: Container in overeenstemming
met de belasting na 10 jaar door een „be-
voegd persoon“ conform het bedrijfsveilig-
heidsbesluit aan een drukcontrole laten
onderwerpen.Neem contact op met onze ser-
vicepartners.
L Bij de tank meegeleverde documenten (=
toelatingsdocumenten) en keuringscerti-
ficaten gedurende de levensduur van de
tank beslist bewaren. De wettelijk voor-
geschreven keuringen dienen te worden
georganiseerd volgens de geldende voor-
schriften van het land waarin de tank
wordt gebruikt.

1.2 Hensiktsmessig bruk
Kompressoren egner seg kun for lagring og
produksjon av trykkluft. Trykkluften egner
seg bare til bruk av trykkluftverktøy/-utstyr/
-maskiner.
All annen bruk er uhensiktsmessig bruk.
Kompressoren skal ikke brukes i eksplo-
sjonsfarlige områder. Brennbare, etsende el-
ler giftige gasser skal ikke suges ut.

1.5.1 Rengjøring av lyddemperinnsat-
sen
1. Skru av lyddemperdekselet.
2. Trekk ut lyddemperinnsatsen, og vask
den i varmt såpevann (max. 50 °C).
3. Skyv innsatsen inn igjen, og skru på lyd-
demperdekselet.
L Når innsatsen ikke lenger kan rengjøres,
skiftes hele lyddemperen ut.

skifte kilerem

1. Løsne og fjern kontramutteren.

3. Ta av den gamle kileremmen, og sett på
ny kilerem.
4. Trekk til mutteren til riktig kileremstram-
ming nås.
5. Sikre med kontramutteren.
6. Fest rembeskyttelsesgitteret igjen med
festepluggene.
1.6 Kontroll av beholderen
Kompressor med modellkontroll: Det kre-
ves kontroll av en "autorisert person"
før igangsetting.
Modellmerking: se kompressortypeskilt
Anbefales: Få fagfolk til å foreta en trykkon-
troll av beholderen ut fra belastningen etter
ti år i samsvar med forskriftene for driftssik-
kerhet. Ta kontakt med en av våre service-
partnere.
L Dokumentasjon for beholderen (typegod-
kjennelse) og kontrollattester skal oppbe-
vares gjennom hele beholderens levetid.
De lovpålagte kontrollene må organiseres
i samsvar med gjeldende forskrifter i det
landet der beholderen brukes.

operation.
• Protect yourself and other persons, ani-
mals, property, and the environment by
taking the necessary protective measures
and being trained in use of the devices to
prevent harm to your health, property
damage, financial loss, environmental
harm or risk of accident.
• Repairs may be carried out only by
Schneider Druckluft GmbH or its approved
service partners.
• Observe the Instruction Manual for ves-
sels!
• Prohibited: Manipulation, inappropriate
use, temporary repairs, use of other ener-
gy sources, removal or use of damaged
safety equipment, operating a leaking or
malfunctioning system, use of non-original
spare parts, exceeding the specified per-
missible working pressure, working with-
out protective clothing, maintaining /
repairing or leaving a pressurised machine
unattended, using other / unsuitable lubri-
cants, smoking, naked flames.
2.4 Commissioning
2.4.1 Conditions at the installation lo-
cation
• Rooms: as dust-free as possible, dry, well
ventilated.
• Installation surface: flat, horizontal.
• Keep heat dissipating devices and lines
away from the compressor.
• When installing the vessel, make sure that
all sides can be viewed clearly and internal
checks made unhindered.
• Type plate easily visible.
2.4.2 Before first use
1. Carry out a visual inspection.
2. Check the electrical connection.
3. Check the oil level (see Chap. 2.6.4).
4. Attach the rubber dampers (see Chap.
2.4.5).
2.4.3 Electrical connection
• The mains voltage must match that speci-
fied on the rating plate.
• Electric protection according to technical
data.
• Install the main switch and connection ca-
ble (not included in scope of supply)!
L Cable: cross section: min. 2.5 mm²; max.
cable length:10 m.
With compressors from 5.5 kW, install a
star-delta switch instead of a main switch.
2.4.4 Checking / changing the rota-
tion direction
Perform a rotation direction check at the "ex-
ternal" three-phase current source before
starting operation.
1. Connect the compressor to the mains
power supply.
2. Switch on the compressor at the ON/OFF
switch.
3. Note the rotation direction of the fan
wheel.
4. If the rotation direction does not corre-
spond to the direction of the arrow on the
belt guard grating, change the direction.
5. Switch off the compressor at the ON/OFF
switch.
1. Interrupt the power supply to the main
switch.
Have a trained and qualified electrician per-
form the following tasks:
1. Change over the phases.
2. Check the rotation direction. (see above)
3. If direction of rotation has not changed:
contact service partner.
2.4.5 Attach rubber dampers
Lift compressor with crane. Select lifting
equipment capable of supporting the weight
of the compressor. See technical data.
1. Guide a suitable loading strap or chain
through the console. Do not damage any
compressor components.
2. Screw rubber dampers (item 23) to the
feet of the vessel. Do not forget to insert
washers! Tighten nuts to 80 Nm.
2.5 Operation
L Do not overload the compressor: do not
exceed the max. number of switching cy-
cles and the ratio of operating time to
standstill!
WARNING
Damage to the connexion cable!
X Protect it from sharp edges, oil and heat!
X Grasp the plug and unplug it from the
power outlet!

Prevent the vessel from emptying completely
during longer downtimes***:
Close ball valve (item 22).
2.5.1 Insert
1. Connect the compressor to the mains
power supply.
2. Switch on the compressor at the ON/OFF
switch (item 10) or the main switch.
Compressor starts up and switches off
automatically: the compressor is ready
for use.
When the switch-on pressure is reached, the
compressor restarts automatically.
2.5.2 Compressed air bleeding
Install the elastic connecting hose between
the ball valve (item 22) and compressed air
pipe system or compressed air cold dryer.
2.5.3 After use
1. Switch on the compressor at the ON/OFF
switch (item 10).
2. Interrupt the power supply to the main
switch.
2.6 Maintenance
2.6.1 Before each maintenance task
1. Switch off compressor at the ON/OFF
switch (item 10) (if available). Discon-
nect power supply at main switch.
3. Depressurise the whole compressor:
slowly open the ball valve condensate
drainage (item 09) and close it if no
more air escapes.
2.6.2 Cleaning the compressor
• Clean the cooling fins on the cylinder, cyl-
inder head and aftercooler using com-
pressed air.
• Clean the fan impeller cover on the motor.
2.6.3 Draining condensate from pres-
sure vessel
L Condensate is a water pollutant. Dispose
of it according to applicable regulations!
1. Place a suitable vessel under the conden-
sate drain.
2. To drain condensate, the pressure must
be approx. 2 bar.
3. Open the ball valve (item. 09) and close
it if no more condensate runs out
2.6.4 Checking the oil level
1. The oil level must be between the top
and bottom marks (oil dipstick/oil in-
spection glass). (Figure 4a)
2. Correct if necessary.
L If oil is milky, it must be changed imme-
diately.
2.6.5 Changing/adding oil
1. Allow the compressor to warm up, switch
it off, disconnect the power supply.
2. Pull out oil filler plug or hose (item 03),
hold used oil container under the mini

ball valve (item 04), open it and drain
used oil completely.
3. Close the mini ball valve.
4. Add the prescribed quantity of oil.
5. Check the oil level, correct if necessary.
Insert the oil filler plug or hose.
6. Dispose of used oil according to applica-
ble regulations.

Do not mix synthetic and mineral oil:

2.6.6 Check screw fittings
1. Check all screw connections for tight fit
and retighten if necessary.
2. Observe the tightening torques (tighten-
ing torques calculated according to VDI
2230).
2.6.7 Cleaning the intake filter
1. Unscrew the intake filter. (Fig. 5a)
2. Clean the filter insert using the blow gun,
exchange the filter insert if necessary.
3. Screw the intake filter back on.
L Do not purge the intake opening. No for-
eign objects may enter.
Never operate the compressor without an
intake filter.
2.6.8 Clean the silencer insert
On compressors with a silencer:
See instruction manual, part 1.
2.6.9 Checking, setting and adjusting
the V-belt tension
Preparation:
Turn all mounting plugs 45° and remove,
then take off the belt guard grating.
Checking V-belt tension:
Press down on the V-belt at the top using
your thumb, halfway between the V-belt
discs. It may not give more the width of the
V-belt (Figure 7a).
Setting/Adjusting V-belt tension:
See instruction manual, part 1.
2.6.10 Cleaning/replacing the check
valve
1. Unscrew the locking screw (Figure 6a).
2. Clean insert, replace in case of damage,
squeezing or hardening.
3. Clean seat, replace complete check valve
if damaged.
2.6.11 Replacing the safety valve
1. Detach the safety valve (item 11) by un-
screwing it anticlockwise.
2. Apply Loctite® 243 to the thread of the
new safety valve or wind Teflon tape
around the valve.
3. Screw the new safety valve into place by
screwing it clockwise.
2.7 Decommissioning
Observe the safety instructions!
2.7.1 Preservation
Oil-lubricated compressors: compressor is
taken out of service for a long period (over 6
months) or is new from the factory and will
not be operated until much later.
1. Replace oil with corrosion inhibitor oil
(viscosity SAE 30). See Chap. 2.6.5.
2. Allow the compressor to warm up, switch
it off, disconnect the power supply.
3. Drain the condensate, depressurise the
compressor.
4. Prior to returning to operation, replace
corrosion inhibiting oil with compressor
oil.
Store the compressor in a dust-free and dry
area where it is not exposed to high temper-
ature fluctuations.
2.7.2 Disposal
Dispose of the unit and packaging materials
according to applicable regulations.

2.4 Mise en service
2.4.1 Conditions du lieu de mise en
place
• Locaux : peu de poussière, secs, bien aé-
rés.
• Surface d'appui : plane, horizontale.
• Éloigner le compresseur des appareils et
conduites qui dégagent de la chaleur.
• Prévoir un dégagement autour du réser-
voir, de manière à pouvoir l'inspecter de
l'extérieur et de l'intérieur.
• Plaque signalétique bien visible.
2.4.2 Avant la première mise en servi-
ce
1. Effectuer un contrôle visuel.
2. Contrôler le raccordement électrique.
3. Contrôler le niveau d'huile (voir chap.
2.6.4).
4. Mettre des caoutchoucs antivibratoires
(voir chap. 2.4.5).
2.4.3 Raccordement électrique
• La tension du réseau et les indications sur
la plaque indiquant la puissance doivent
être identiques.
• Protection par fusibles selon les caractéris-
tiques techniques.
• Installer l'interrupteur principal et le câble
de raccordement (non fournis) !
L Câble : section : min. 2,5 mm²; longueur
max. :10 m.
Sur les compresseurs à partir de 5,5 kW,
installer un couplage triangle-étoile à la
place de l'interrupteur principal.
2.4.4 Contrôler / modifier le sens de
rotation
Effectuer un contrôle du sens de rotation
avant toute mise en service avec une source
de courant alternatif « inconnue ».
1. Raccorder le compresseur au réseau
électrique.
2. Mettre le compresseur sous tension par
le biais de la commande marche/arrêt.
3. Observer le sens de rotation de la roue
de ventilateur.
4. Si le sens de rotation ne coïncide pas
avec celui de la flèche qui figure sur la
grille protectrice de courroie : changer le
sens de rotation.
5. Arrêter le compresseur par le biais de la
commande marche/arrêt.
1. Couper l'alimentation électrique au ni-
veau de l'interrupteur principal.
Procédure réservée à un électricien dûment
formé :
1. Changer les phases.
2. Contrôler le sens de rotation. (Voir ci-
dessus.)
3. Le sens de rotation n'a pas changé : con-
tacter le partenaire SAV.
